“Beautiful, hospitable and incredibly relaxing!”

We had just finished a week of business held at a high-end resort in Antalya, and could not have been more satisfied with our choice of Seki Cottages. First, the cottage, surrounding gardens and pool, and view from the verandas were absolutely stunning. The perfect setting for me, my husband, and our adult daughter to relax and unwind! And the hospitality of the owner (Onur) made it all the more perfect. She had stocked the kitchen with all sorts of goodies, and helped my husband connect with some local people, given his interest in the area and photography. We only wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back! (By the way, the roads are now fine.)

“Amazing place to relax with a charming host”

My husband and I stayed with Onur and her family for 9 days and I say 'stayed with' as that us how Onur and her daughter made us feel. Before our visit Onur emailed us with information (including the road condition), directions and questions on what she could do to make sure our stay was perfect. We were met with home made lemonade, a fridge full of food, directions to local markets and details of all of the local historical and lesser know sites. Onur has obviously put a lot of effort and thought into making her guests stay as perfect as she can and struck the right balance between being on hand and not intruding. The cottage is immaculate and has a well stocked kitchen which I greatly appreciated as I love to cook. We picked oranges from the garden and had freshly squeezed juice and picked herbs from the garden. The gardens are very well tended by the local imam and the pool is lovely. I can't praise hese cottages enough and if you are looking for a place to do as little or as much as you like definitely go here.

“Wonderful, but check on the road condition.”
Reviewed 10 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

This is a beautiful place, very comfortable with wonderful trees and a fantastic pool. Onur is extremely welcoming and greeted us with a pitcher of mint lemonade and a fridge full of fresh eggs, milk, butter, cheese, fresh tomatoes, fruit from her garden and some lovely bread. A few days before our arrival she kindly sent an email warning us about the condition of the road from the highway to her cottage because road works had just begun. She also warned that Wi-Fi was out as a result. The road was WAY worse than we had imagined. It took a good 25-30 minutes to get up and down the road (it should normal take 7 minutes) and it was stressful, with the car bottoming out on piles of rocks and giant holes we had to navigate. This is not the fault of Onur and she and her daughter did their best to help us, offering their computer for our use and doing the best they could under the circumstances. However, we left a day early due to the road condition that in fact was barely passable as a road at all. The only other downside is that the call to prayer is right outside the bedroom window and was extremely loud - the loudest we had heard in our various stays in Turkey and impossible to sleep through at 4AM. This is life in Turkey but you should know in any case. Overall, Onur has a lovely place and she is a fantastic hostess with wonderful taste. Just check on the road condition if that kind of thing bothers you at all. Hopefully it gets cleared up soon.

“Amazing, comfortable cottage in a beautiful setting”

We had a wonderful time staying in Seki. Sitting out on the balcony in the evenings was probably one of my favourite things about the holiday - the view was beautiful and it was very relaxing after long days out exploring. The facilities are great - main examples being the pool and gardens, but also things like good quality cookware. Onur is a brilliant and friendly host and her suggestions are definitely worth listening to; we wouldn't have known about the ruined city at Seleucia if she hadn't recommended it. The village itself is pretty remote and I feel we got to see a glimpse of the real Turkey.

This was my second visit to Seki Cottages which says it all really because I very rarely go back somewhere I've been before. But Seki is exceptional and I certainly wasn't disappointed. The cottages have been extremely well designed and furnished and the owner, Onur, clearly has an eye for detail. They are well equipped and all household necessities are provided along with a welcome pack of basic foodstuffs. So on arrival you can settle in straightaway and relax in the beautiful gardens within which the cottages are set or by the large, beautifully maintained pool. Onur is the perfect hostess and nothing is too much trouble for her. The cottages are within easy access of the sea (5 miles) but my preference is to explore the real Turkey which means turning round and heading inland to discover the many hidden delights. Onur can tell you all about them!

“Tranquil garden of peace”

The cottages are beautifully appointed and set in luxuriant gardens of trees, bushes and flowers with a magnificent pool from which you have an almost 180 degree panoramic view down the hills over the sea. It is an ideal location from which to visit the classical ruins in the area, of which many more are accessible now than they were in our first visit to the area 40 years ago. The coastal strip has been largely spoiled by package tour development but we found quiet beaches where the Manavgat River reaches the sea, and a splendid restaurant (Kazan) on the banks of the Manavgat between the town and the sea. The coastal road is a very busy highway now, but easily provides access to coast and ruins. Do not miss Selge up in the hills. The cottage owner, Onu Altayli, met us late at night and proved extremely kind an hospitable. If you want to see some of the best classical ruins in the world, and you don't want a package hotel, you would be hard pressed to find a better location as a base. We would definiteely go again

“A superbly restful and beautiful oasis near coastal tureky”
Reviewed 10 July 2012 for a stay in June 2012

We spent 4 nights at the Seki cottages, and should have stayed a week. Onur Altayli the owner could not have been more helpful re anythng regarding the cottages, local sights and even helped coordinate our rental car dropoff. The cottage itself was absolutely charming - carefully and tastefully appointed, with the fridge already stocked with basic neccessities. The private pool was wonderful to come home to after a hot day out sightseeing, and the gardens of the property were a serene and peaceful environment as well as providing fresh mulberries for breakfast!
The location, being some 20 mins out of town, was just perfect as a haven from the nearby busy, tourist thronged resorts. We'd recommend Seki cottages to anyone as a base to tour the area, and are grateful to Onur for all her assistance before and during our stay.
