“The worst hotel ever!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 December 2012

The most awful hotel i have ever stayed during my 9 times in turkey! NO territory - 3 palm trees ,a tiny green lawn, a small swimming pool- thats it! I was there on all inclusive-but at day-time ( i arrived at 4 pm) they didnt have anything to eat but plain Gezleme ( kind of turkish bread). The food was NOT EDIBLE ( i m not picky at all i should mention),in addition to this,on the 5th day of my stay i got a bad food poisoning in the hotel restaurant during dinner! 2 days spent in the room plus an ambulance 5 hours before the flight- that was the logical ending of the disastrous trip. The hotel sells as 5 stars but its not even 3 stars! plz take my advice- dont ever think of going there(

Rooms, bathrooms, general areas, restaurants, everythingin this hotel is 20-25 years old....you feel yourself as if you were in a communist Bulgarian hotel..friendly staff, but this all at ghe end..Acceptable for a very short stay of 1-2 days only...no place for a summer holiday..

Just returned from a tour on Gate 1 13day Turkish Treasures. Managed and owned by Russian company. Beautiful setting but such terrible management. Rude to guests..a constant complaint heard by all. No air conditioning and if you called to inquire, they say they dont't speak English until they shuffle you around and you finally get someone who tells you that the air is turned on for 2 hours at a time and then turned off! Therefore, the fan in your room then sends hot air into the room. So many complaints, that our tour leader spoke with management and he basically said nothing he could do!
It is a black mark on Gate 1Tours to use this hotel. If you read other reviews, you will find the same complaint over and over.
Charge for ice on top of everything else, and has to be ordered through room service at a charge!
They need to get some American people to run this hotel, as they have no idea what the word "service" means.

Good food, good rooms and we had a view over the pool and the beach. A very big hotel with a Vegas entrance and a lot of amenities like a disco, function rooms spa etc. There is another hotel next to ti and unfortunately there was a pool party as it was saturday and I could hear it like I was a party guest but it stopped at midnight. Be aware they will ask for your passport and they even have a metal detector.

The location was beautiful. There was no air conditioning and the rooms were sweltering. I can't believe what summer months must be like? The hotel is run by Russians and hotel caters to 90% Russians. They can't communicate with Americans and don't care to respond etc. the food is fair and they charge extra for everything iincluding ice. If you are American, I suggest the Lara beach location but pick another hotel so you wont be disappointed. The Mediterranean is beautiful and swimmable so the location is awesome. The Turkish are friendly, but the Russians act as though they hate Americans

My wife & I stayed two nights as part of a Gate1 Travel group. The A/C never went below 82 degrees during the day and 79 at night. I observed the front desk staff being rude to fellow guests on two different occasions, including one where all the guy wanted was towels -- none were in the room -- so his wife could take a shower! The food wasn't especially notable (on an A to F scale, perhaps a C-minus), and the massive dining room had the charm and ambiance of a high school cafeteria. Another indignity was charging $3 a night to use the in-room safe, something I have never encountered anywhere else before, and which provided a horrible first impression. Nature provided one positive: there was a glorious view of the Mediterranean Sea from our room's balcony

Room Tip: I would never advise anyone to stay here, but if you're stuck, make sure you get one with a balc...

We spent a night here on our tour of Turkey. That was enough. The AC in the room was turned off most ot the night and the room was never cooler than 77 degrees F. There was a tube TV with grainy picture. The beds were very firm. The bathroom was decent with good pressure in the shower. We had a balcony on the side of the hotel that had views of the bay and Med.
Buffet breakfast was good with variety of breads, cereal, eggs and fruit as well as cheese and veg dishes in Turkish style.
The pool looked nice but we didn't use it. The access to the Med was by long steep staircase cut into the rocks or an elevator that went to a platform over the water. There is No Beach. It did not appeal to us. The hotel is not located near other restaurants or ATMs.
OK for an overnighter but that is about it.
