Why do people keep moaning and saying it's not 5*, when they are only paying 3* prices. It's 24 hour all inclusive, it's got 5 al a'carte resturants, which i've never had a problem to book, and theres always plenty of choice in the buffet resturant anyway. I have stayed there 3 times and i find if you are polite to the staff, they are very friendly in return, you too would get the hump with people whinging all the time, they work extremely long hours, and very hard to boot. Great pools, great beach, yes there are a lot of Russians, but it's a big place, never had a problem getting a sunbed and towels supplied for beach and pool use, my only complaint was it was too hot lol. Everyone i spoke to out there had thoroughly enjoyed it, and would recommend it.

we have just returned from the wow Topkapi palace and after reading all the bad reviews we were dreadding it
But I must say they were wrong we arrived in the early hours of the morning really tiered and the reception staff we fab they told us that we could go to the buffet restarant for food if we wished told us where the room was and the bell boy took our cases
The room was fab Food good always some thing to eat even for the fussy eater
The minin fridge in the room was stocked daily which was free of charge
We travelled with two children age 12 and 13 the pool and the slides were fab
On the down side there was not enough entertainment for the children s they were too old for the kids club and too young for the adults games but they were happy they had the pools and slides The only complaint that I had about the hotel was the Russians they were so rude and just pushed in the front of all the ques if you were waitting to get served for a drink or going too the counter to get food they would alwasys be in the front
apart from that I think it is a fab place and would deffinatly go back

After having a trip to Mexico cancelled - Swine flu, we had to re-arrange our holiday very quickly and ended up with Turkey (somewhere we had never considered before). With not very high expectations we were VERY pleasantly surprised! Our room was fairly typical but nothing at all wrong with its cleaness or layout. The food was good although the wine was just as you'd expect a local vintage to be! We particularly enjoyed the a la carte restaurants; which we had no problem getting places at. It was my Birthday whilst we were there and our table was specially decorated and a cake provided which was nice..
Yes, the hotel was mainly full of Europeans, especially from the Easten block who don't recognise queuing but not full of lager lout Brits which was good.
The best bit? The beach, nicely laid out with a mini pier and massive cushions to relax on as well as hammocks (again with huge cushions) on top of the standard recliners.. There was no rush to reserve places in the morning so you could follow the sun if you wanted to..
I often say that there are too many different places in the world to go back to a place again, but for a relaxed break and some sunshine - I would!

what a fantastic holiday we all have just returned from.
with the topkapi palace you get just want it says on the tin/broucher. it is truly a world of wonder.
yes it may be alittle out of the way but they are regular buses that run from right outside the hotel there is also a taxi company out front as well. (very cheaply priced).
the reviews about the russians are true but they most certainly don't spoil your holiday.
there is plenty to do all day if you want to get involved. just remember your on holiday you can enjoy yourself along with the kids.
kids club is great it's open from 10am-12.30 14.30-17.15 and again 20-21.15 finshed off with a great kids disco. the club offers lots of different activites my kids are aged 9 and 6 they loved it and it was a great way to meet the other kids.
21.30 there is a show every night par sunday these are great and well worth watching.
the main resturant has a great choice of different foods you can eat till you burst. i must remind you that men must take long pants for all the resturants in the evening . long shorts, sandals/flip flops are not allowed.
we went on afew trips both within the hoel and with thomas cook. the speed boat in the hotel was fantastic. the dolphin show was not so good the price £25 per adult and £12.50 for the kids. your on the bus for an hour then when you get there you have to wait for the show to start, show lasts for an hour with a 15min break then we had to wait another half hour for the bus to take us home. this may not sound to bad but there was nothing to do or look at and everything was very very expensive. i paid 22 lair for 4 ice lollies and it was 8 lair for a can of pop.
room are great the interconnected ones are fab. the only thing that was missing was a kettle. yes the hotel is all in but at 7/8 in the morning and you fancie a cuppa the bar is too far away from the room and the kids in bed what can you do? there is room service at a fee but it's food with drinks not drinks only.
all rooms are cleaned every day bedding every 3 days.
now for the things even your reps don't tell you.
to find the free ice cream follow the sings for the doctor. this is passed the quite pool area.
hairdresser is free but only for cuts and shampoo not the blow drying this is 15 euro.
the turkish baths are free but it is the bath only. massarge and things like that are extra. make sure they under stand what you want.
late room check outs are different from the brouchers they are not £29 like it says they are 30 euro per adult. be warned they don't budge on price.
all the shops in hotel are franchised and once again very very expensive. 54 liar for a bottle of sun cream. so take plenty.
finally just sit back relax and enjoy your on holiday. take it all in and you will have as great time as we have had. at the end of the day it's what you have been working for the past 12 months.

This hotel does NOT cater for English people at all. We very rarely got the right drinks we asked for, as the staff could not understand us. The complex is just one of many in a row of hotels, there is nothing to do in the surrounding area. It is basically like being stuck in the middle of nowhere. The complex is your holiday. If your not interested in sports then there is very little else to do except sunbathe and swim, which is nice but not for a fortnight. The place itself looks nice, the pool areas and beach etc are very nice. It is quite well kept. The bad points are the location and lack of things to do. There were very few English people there. It was mainly rude Russians. The food was very boring and not to a five star standard, it was much the same everyday. There were Birds all over the place, bird droppings everywhere including in and around eating places, where cats would also be begging for food. The brochure states that its ideal for a relaxing holiday, We would say BORING!. Last comment is the animation team, they are so annoying trying to get people to join in activities, there are 908 rooms at the hotel and they are lucky to attract 20 people to join in, should that not tell them that the vast majority of people are not interested, but yet everyday we had to listen to somone shouting down a microphone and repeating the same thing in 4 different lanuages. CRAZY!. Nightime entertainment was pathetic.

We just got back from a 1 week stay at the Topkapi and have to say we had a brilliant time.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, on one occassion a disabled lady arrived in the restaurant in a wheelchair, she was alone and whilst getting out of her chair into the dining chair a waiter RAN 50 metres across the restaurant to help her, not something you normally see.

No matter what time you went down to the pool or beach there were sunbeds a plenty, no need to get up in the middle of the night here!

We went with Thomas Cook and the rep was magnificent, always on hand to help with any problems (which we never had, but it was nice just to go and pass the time of day with het, knowing she was available if we had needed her)

Our only complaint was that one of the trips we went on was a disaster, Antalya discovered was nothing more than a hard sell trip, the first stop was a beautifull waterfall, it was downhill all the way from there, next stop Stork's Gold was a really hard sell, we were subjected to 30 minutes of pressurised selling from 2 of their staff, at one point we were ushered to a small room and my wife was told to shut up more than once when trying to tell them we didnt want to purchase anything, this trip is not for the feint hearted and really should be free of charge like the blanket trips in Spain are. This trip ruined one day of our stay but was nothing to do with Topkapi.

By comparison on the last day we went on the 'Last day cruise' this was excellent value for money and rounded off our holiday really well, over 4 hours cruising the Med followed by checking in at the IC hotel at Antalya Airport, where we had the room right up to check in so were able to get in some sleep before the early morning flight home.

All in all, the hotel was great, as was the food and service and we would go back again.

arrived the 28th of april and was really surprised by how nice it is , staff were really friendly and helpfull. the room was fine but not what i would call 5star in need of updating, the pools were great my little one was in her element with the water slides pool area very slippy especially in flip flops as i found out many times.Had a great time there the beach is great and the sea was lovely, the food gets very repetative and there is not much choice for the children, the puddings were fantastic, there was no prblem getting food as everyone was very civerlised unlike what we had read in reviews, we had rain for 2 days and this is when you find out there is not alot to do especially after you check out and have to wait around for 7 hours with a 2 year old and no where to go as the place fills with puddles. If you get great weather then this is a great holiday.
