What a fabulous hotel, good food, great facilities and a wonderful setting. We went for 11 days relaxing and enjoying every minute of our time at Lara Beach. Transfer time is 25 minutes to the resort and on arrival at 01.00 ish on Saturday 21st September we were warmly welcomed with a smile when we said hello (Merhaba) and good morning (Gunaydin) in Turkish. Check-in was a breeze and after we were taken to our room, clean, nice size, king size bed, we were invited to take advantage of the wide range of food provided from midnight to 6am. The main, all inclusive, Turkuaz (Turquoise) restaurant provides breakfast from 07.00 to 10.00 Late breakfast from 10.00 to 11.00 Lunch 12.30 to 14.30 Dinner from 19.00 to 21.30 and as mentioned a Late Night Buffet 24.00 to 06.00 and the food on offer is a very good standard and tasty. On first sight the food hall looks massive but the selection of soup, hot food and salads on the right is mirrored on the left with desserts on the middle island. Around the edge of the hall there is a grill area (steak & chicken) a pasta area, a fish area and Turkish pitta area. There is also a small diet area provided where all the food is plain steamed/boiled. Outside at breakfast time there fried eggs and omelettes cooked and in the evening a range of Chinese or Turkish casseroles...What a fabulous hotel, good food, great facilities and a wonderful setting. Outside at breakfast time there fried eggs and omelettes cooked and in the evening a range of Chinese or Turkish casseroles in large woks on offer which are very, very good. The only thing that stops me giving the Miracle 10 out of 10 is that the buffet dining experience is like a works canteen, very bright lights, tables not cleared or re-set and the service for drinks is not there as the waiters are busy clearing up as well - if they got this right it would be perfect.
During the day there are other areas where you can have lunch - the Pool bar provides burgers, chips, cheese sandwiches or wonderful baked potatoes. The "Lagos" A la carte Fish restaurant doubles during the day at lunch time as the Doner Kebab House at which you are served in a lovely setting. The "Anatolia" Turkish A la carte restaurant doubles during the day for lunch and serves Turkish Pide (Pitta with meat) and wonderful Ravioli Turkish style and again you are waited on which is nice. In the afternoon you can have ice cream and melon at the Beach bar or Coffee/Tea and cakes in the Lobby bar so you never want for anything (except dream of bacon!!). There are also fridges dotted around the various facilities from which you can help yourself to bottled water which is a nice touch. If this isn't enough then your...More
