“The Miracle Resort Hotel Lara Beach. Excellent resort and incredible value for money.”
Reviewed 19 October 2013

My wife and our two friends visited the Miracle Resort this October for a 10 day stay. The holiday started well with good arrival times and extremely fast transfer time (20 minutes), this meant we were able to spend most of the afternoon of our travel day at the resort.
First impressions were superb, the Hotel is modern and right on the beach. The lobby is stylish and expansive with bars, restaurants and shops situated around it. Access to the rooms again is speedy with two turbo lifts at each side of the hotel leading off to the rooms.
The rooms are extremely spacious, modern and well equipped. We had a huge double bed, flat screen TV, additional furniture, plenty of wardrobe and clothing storage space. There is a modern bathroom that comes stocked with a daily allowance of shower gels and shampoo's etc. There is a free' closet' safe and a small fridge that is stocked daily for FREE with water, beer, soft drinks, crisps and chocolate! For those that like to watch a little TV, there are a couple of English speaking channels, with one showing the likes of 'Bones' and 'CSI' types shows throughout the day and night.
There are a number of restaurants at the hotel. The main restaurant is buffet style and has an expanse of different foods to suit most tastes. For those that like a english breakfast, please remember that Turkey is a predominantly Muslim country and therefore wont supply bacon or any type of pork. This restaurant also has a childrens buffet area (which was a nice touch) There are lots of other options however and the food is very good. There are other restaurants with waiter service that you can visit such as the Turkish, Italian, Mexican and Fish venues. Please be aware that there is a small surcharge of 5 euro each for some of these but it is well worth it. We particularly enjoyed the Italian restaurant. For lunch you can grab a kebab or burger and chips etc from the pool bar or smaller restaurants around the hotel grounds. There is also a Turkish Pide venue where the ladies cook the different types of Pide in front of you to order (Free).
There are a number of bars including a beach bar, pool bar, lobby bar (with a great outside balcony overlooking the hotel grounds and mountains) and 9th Floor Bridge Bar (These drinks are not included in the all inclusive free menu but offer more choice).
There is a large pool area with additional children's area and we never had a problem finding sunbeds at any time of the day. The childrens pool leads to water slides etc (again nice touch).
The beach again has lots of sunbeds and the water is very shallow and pleasant and much warmer than the actual pool.If you get there early enough you can sunbathe on the hotel pier that comes provided with leather beans bags etc. We also walked along the beach and took a look at the other magnificent hotels at Lara Beach such as the Concorde Hotel and Titanic Hotel (well worth doing). You can also access many beach based activities from here (jet ski etc)
Other facilities at the Miracle include free wife from the Lobby and optional paid for wifi from the hotel and pool area's. There is a well set up gymnasium with lots of different types of cardio machines a multi gym and several options of free weights. There is also a very good spa (if you want Turkish massages and treatments) and a hairdressers (I would recommend a Turkish shave to any men, as its an experience). Outside there are several tennis courts, football pitches and basketball courts. These are free to use but you have to hire the equipment from the Reception (10 euro's for 2 tennis rackets and a dozen balls). Also there is an amusement arcade, fish massage center (charge), small childrens rides and other things to keep everyone occupied.
Entertainment comes in the form of the Animation Team and external performers. Some of the Animation Team shows are good (Turkish revue, African experience) whilst others are quite poor but this is often common in my experience in other venues, they work very hard however! There is a nightly outside disco that is often very good and has singers, performers and Karaoke.
If you fancy a trip out, I would recommend going in to Antalya. There are two obvious ways of doing this, either by bus, however whilst its cheap (4 euro each return ) I don't think you would potentially get to the main bazaars and marina area and it takes about 90 minutes to get there, therefore we took a cab (directly from outside the main gates, opposite the tennis courts) and paid 40 euro return between the four of us (we haggled them down). This allowed us to be dropped off and picked up from the main tourist area (30 minute journey). The main area starts at the clock tower down through the winding bazaar to a lovely marina area, full of bars and restaurants. In the bazaar you can purchase replica watches, jewelry and clothing at a fraction of the price that you would pay in the UK (Turkey apparently does not have copyright laws and they like you to haggle). We stopped for lunch here and had a great afternoon.
If you like football etc, there are several bars on Lara Beach strip (10 min walk from the hotel) that show the Premier League etc.
Alternatively there are lots of excursions available from the hotel. The best one we found was the 'Sea to Shore' trip. This included a fabulous cable car ride into the mountains, a traditional Turkish lunch in a great venue built over a waterfall and finally a guided tour of the Ancient City ruins of Phaselis, which was an ancient Greek and Roman city on the coast of Lycia. Its ruins are located north of the modern town Tekirova in the Kemer district of Antalya Province in Turkey. The entire trip was brilliant!
The weather went from 26 degrees to 37 degrees across 9 of the 10 days we were there, the 10th day however was stormy but in October we were very happy with what we got.
I have described the Pro's but there are one or two cons such as the hotel has a large German and Eastern block contingent therefore the hotel probably caters more for their taste than for the Brits, however this did not detract from our experience at all. The staff are not as friendly on the whole as in other countries I have visited but they are professional and polite. The air con is centralised so you may not be a cool as with room managed air conditioning.

In summary, we paid £700 per person and for that we received an outstanding service with access to a fantastic resort (5 star all inclusive). The country, weather and people in general were fantastic and I cannot remember receiving so much and paying so little whilst in the Caribbean, Europe or North America and as such fully recommend this resort.

It is an amazing hotel. All the staff (excluding the reception desk) are working so hardly just to please all the guests. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, the lobby, the pool, the gardens and the beach are really wonderful. The food was delicious - very big choice and varieties. You don't have to go out, cause you have all here.

The hotel resort was magnificent,we arrived early evening and just caught evening meal time , but there was a great choice. the pool was hugh with plenty of sun beds , even though some people wanted to sit on the same bed every day.The rooms were very comfortable and the fridge was stocked daily. We enjoyed the beach toO, with again plenty of loungers to use. The firework display was out of this world and the staff did their utmost best to serve you on the terrace bar and the pool bar. People were queing for drinks at the bar, , but by tipping the bar staff, they would bring the drinks to you, and plenty of them. There were good shows on site too. We have already booked for next year. well done all at the Miracle Resort.

Room Tip: Most of the rooms are side sea facing, but there are some rooms with large balconies facing the sea.

This is the first time for me , my husband and my baby in Antalya. We've heard a lot about Antalya's amazing hotels and actually Miracle was one of them !

We stayed there for 5 days .The hotel is clean and neat, the staff are nice ( though it's problematic that many of them can't speak english) , the pools and the spa are amazing, the food is wooooooww , and the intertainment staff did a great job ! WE JUST LOVED IT!

just one thing that can turn my rating from very good to excellent is the rooms. I've seen better rooms, they are old and could be better if decorated in a modern way. though they are clean.

Thank you miracle for doing this super nice vacation

When we first arrived we had no smiles no welcoming at all which immediately puts a downer on your stay. The guy at reception did not bother to explain the resort at all (we were the only guests at reception at the time). Also the bell boy couldn't answer our question but still stood in our room waiting for a tip. We felt like a number not a valued guest. Apart from this miracle resort was amazing. The pool was huge and fantastic. Having all drinks and food included free of charge was great, good food amazing choices and good choice of drinks. All staff apart from reception and luggage were good-great. Definitely a Recommended place to stay.

Chose the hotel by the reviews on it from Thomson. Ignore all the remarks from the non English as the staff are all helpful and service is great. The amount of food choice is unbelievable unless you're very picky!! Value for money was amazing and couldn't complain! Had a Turkish massage which you have to pay extra for but was well worth it!! Enjoyed every minute and would definitely go back! One thing, there are shops just outside the hotel, but unless you like being hassled then don't go as they don't leave you alone!

What a fabulous hotel, good food, great facilities and a wonderful setting. We went for 11 days relaxing and enjoying every minute of our time at Lara Beach. Transfer time is 25 minutes to the resort and on arrival at 01.00 ish on Saturday 21st September we were warmly welcomed with a smile when we said hello (Merhaba) and good morning (Gunaydin) in Turkish. Check-in was a breeze and after we were taken to our room, clean, nice size, king size bed, we were invited to take advantage of the wide range of food provided from midnight to 6am. The main, all inclusive, Turkuaz (Turquoise) restaurant provides breakfast from 07.00 to 10.00 Late breakfast from 10.00 to 11.00 Lunch 12.30 to 14.30 Dinner from 19.00 to 21.30 and as mentioned a Late Night Buffet 24.00 to 06.00 and the food on offer is a very good standard and tasty. On first sight the food hall looks massive but the selection of soup, hot food and salads on the right is mirrored on the left with desserts on the middle island. Around the edge of the hall there is a grill area (steak & chicken) a pasta area, a fish area and Turkish pitta area. There is also a small diet area provided where all the food is plain steamed/boiled. Outside at breakfast time there fried eggs and omelettes cooked and in the evening a range of Chinese or Turkish casseroles in large woks on offer which are very, very good. The only thing that stops me giving the Miracle 10 out of 10 is that the buffet dining experience is like a works canteen, very bright lights, tables not cleared or re-set and the service for drinks is not there as the waiters are busy clearing up as well - if they got this right it would be perfect.
During the day there are other areas where you can have lunch - the Pool bar provides burgers, chips, cheese sandwiches or wonderful baked potatoes. The "Lagos" A la carte Fish restaurant doubles during the day at lunch time as the Doner Kebab House at which you are served in a lovely setting. The "Anatolia" Turkish A la carte restaurant doubles during the day for lunch and serves Turkish Pide (Pitta with meat) and wonderful Ravioli Turkish style and again you are waited on which is nice. In the afternoon you can have ice cream and melon at the Beach bar or Coffee/Tea and cakes in the Lobby bar so you never want for anything (except dream of bacon!!). There are also fridges dotted around the various facilities from which you can help yourself to bottled water which is a nice touch. If this isn't enough then your room has a mini bar with beer, juice, cola, water, nuts, pretzels and chocolate!!
There are four A la carte restaurants The Lagos Fish restaurant and Anitolia Turkish both situated at the bottom end of the grounds in a romantic setting and the Miracolo Italian and Mexican Restaurant on the ground floor terrace of the hotel. These can be booked as many times as you like through Guest Relations (who are always there) but will cost €5 per person to book the table (the food is still part of the all inclusive) but it is well worth it. On two occasions (one in the Anitolia and the other in the Mexican) it was nice to see the General Manager of the hotel dining along side us with his family. The quality of food is excellent and far too much to eat, Deniz the waiter in the Italian/Mexican was superb and even sang me Happy Birthday when wheeling out the surprise cake...nice touch!!
The pool and lobby bar provide cocktails, beers and soft drinks from 10.00 in the morning with the pool bar closing at 23.30 and the Lobby and Outside disco bar closing at 02.00. The beach bar serves beer, wine and hot and cold soft drinks from 10.00 to 18.00. All the all-inclusive drinks are good measures and very good standard, the beer is Efes which is nice and cold and goes down well. The only place you have to pay for drinks is the Bridge bar, open from 18.00 to 23.30 but it has a fantastic view, suspended between the two buildings and worth a visit. The queues at the bars were never very long and the bar staff were great Gazi and Deniz especially.
The Animation team are great, not in your face but plenty of activities if you want them, water polo, volleyball, boccia (boules) archery, airguns, football, yoga and pilates. The evening entertainment is the usual fare of comedy and miming by the team in the amphitheatre but there are few 'non animation team' shows that are brilliant with Chinese acrobats, Turkish dancers and African tumblers well worth watching. Good mix of English and Turkish music played during the day and evening and an "after the show" show at 23.00 with a live band, laser disco or karaoke before the outdoor disco starts. The Club dance 'Ce la Vie' is very catchy and easy to learn so most people joined in around the pool and in the evening after each show.
On arrival you are provided with key cards and towel cards for pool or beach towels and can get clean ones everyday from 08.30....if you want a good spot and get up at the crack of dawn then sometimes you can swap your towels for clean in the evening but we never had an issue with getting beds by the pool, beach or on the pier. They guy in the towel hut, Eyup (pronounced "A up" was brilliant and everyday we were greeted with a smile and some new Turkish words to learn when collecting our towels. There were German, Swiss, French, Belgian, Dutch, Russian, Canadian, British and Turkish guests staying and all were very friendly, a smile and an attempt to say 'Bonjour' or 'Gutten tag' or 'iyi aksamlar' goes a long way and was always reciprocated with a hello or good morning or good evening. The children have their own mini club, mini disco, with a pool and slides over by the water chutes and you would never know they were about. The main pool is massive with bridges to get across to the pool bar. The pool has no shallow end and is 1.45m deep throughout so plenty of airbeds floating about.
The Spa and Turkish bath is excellent and on our first morning at the Miracle we booked a Peel, Turkish bath (Hammam) and fragrant oil massage (€50 per person) to set ourselves up for some serious tanning, it was so relaxing, lasting over an hour and one of the best we have had. There is an organised trip out to a Turkish bath which is priced cheaper but from experience they are not as relaxing and when they factor in all the add ons it is the same price.
There are water sports on the beach such as parasailing, jet ski, water skiing, padi diving, boat trips and all at reasonable prices unfortunately there is a weight restriction of 130kg for tandem parasailing so we couldn't do it this year(must be the food at the hotel!!) but they video you during the flight which looked amazing. The beach itself is a blue flag standard and sandy but has a band of shingle at the sea edge and a small shelf so you are quickly up to your waist but the water is warm, patrolled by life guards and clean to the left of the pier, to the right where the water sports is located there is occasionally a fine film of oil on the surface. The fish in the sea like bread and will feed from the hand but are also partial to nibbling your heels so you can save money on the fish pedicure available in the grounds!!
There is a shop for essentials, newspapers, post cards and the like and a range of shops for clothing, jewellery, souvenirs, fish pedicures and photos, everything is priced in euros so no need to take Turkish Lira really although if you pay by card they convert this into Turkish Lira??
We loved living the Miracle, there is so much space you can find your own little corner of paradise or sit on the Lobby terrace and watch the sun go down over the mountains drinking cocktails, it is a wonderful place to stay. The Hotel is one of the cleanest we have stayed at, grounds are stunning with walks, water features, bananas, lemons, limes and the hotel cats and kittens are so cute. You will want for nothing staying here and if you can't find what you want then ask and they will go out of their way to please. Loved the Miracle and loved Turkey so thanks for a great holiday to all the staff there!!

Room Tip: We were in 2827 which is right in the middle on the outside of the left hand building overlooking th...
