“Wow an amazing holiday”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 June 2012

We have just returned from 2 weeks holiday at the Barut Lara resort spa and suites and all I can say is wow! When we arrived we were told we were upgraded to a junior suite as we were traveling with return guests. The rooms were amazing! Very spacious, separate sleeping area with a tv and very clean, like new, with a travel cot all made up in children's linin. we had two twin beds which we had to push together. would have been nice to have a double bed and I'm sure if I had called reception to ask for a double bed they would have obliged. Nothing seemed like too much trouble. There was a large bathroom with a bath tub and seperate shower cubicle and toilet. Every day we were stocked with shampoo, conditioner, bath foam, cotton buds and more importantly beer, coke, and fanta etc in the mini bar.
The food was very good quality although by the 2nd week it did get very repetitive. Although this problem was soon remedied with a few visit to one or more of the impressive feature restaurants. Both red and white wine We're very pleasant. There was also a vast array of Branded drinks including bottle beers like becks.
The main restaurant had a family area with a microwave and blender and a t.v on the wall showing English children's movies!
The staff were all extremely pleasant, always coming over to replenish your drinks.
The animation team were fantastic, ESP bonus, Martinez, dogukan and nuri !! They made my little boys holiday !! They just love their jobs and meeting new people! The shows were entertaining too. Performed by the animation team and impressive external acts alike. The beach party and the gala dinner were also fab.
Snacks near the pool were from 12.30-6.00 hamburgers, chips, pizza, crepes, jacket potatos, hot dogs and ice cream.
Cakes ice cream and coffee available inside main hotel most available until 6.
You can exchange your towels every day from 8am until 4.
The hotel shop had everything you needed but was very expensive.
Needless to say myself and fellow guests are thrilled to have experienced this fantastic hotel, which is without a doubt one of the finest hotels we have ever visited and will hopefully experience again very soon.

Just returned from the Barut Lara, beautiful hotel, lovely rooms, really comfy beds. Hotel grounds are spacious and beautiful, lots of green space and gardens with pretty flowers around the resort and all the species of plants and flowers have name tags so you can see what they are. Pool areas are very nice plenty of loungers and are comfortable, never had a problem trying to get a sunbed whatever time we went to the pool. Restaurants are excellent, food quality is very high and choice is enormous. Booked 4 a la carte restaurants during our stay and all were brilliant. The main buffet is also extremely good with an amazing choice. Lunchtime choices again are extensive, something for everyone. The service throughout our stay was first class, the people are extremely pleasant and we could not fault anything. Nationalities are mixed but everyone seemed friendly and we met some lovely people who made our stay so enjoyable. Overall a great resort with plenty for everyone. Would not hesitate to return or recommend to anyone.

Room Tip: Most rooms have a sea view, there are various choices from de luxe rooms to suites

My wife and I and two children aged 3 years and 8 months have just returned from a 7 night stay at the Barut lara. We arrived on the 9th of June at about 2330 and we were met by Giyam (blonde receptionist) very friendly and she upgraded us to a Junior suite (2736) located very close to the main swimming pool and Divan restaurant. Room was nice- Bathroom VERY nice-separate shower and bathtub, with a closed of toilet area. Food in the hotel is all inclusive of the price but it became very repetitive, breakfast was the same pretty much every day, meat seemed uncooked and very pink on the inside and rubbery. I guess the plus point with the food was that you do have a choice of eating at a different restaurant every night-but you will realise that it is pretty much the same food everywhere.

The hotel itself is very clean and looked after well by the amazing team, the choice of pools is good but get in there early because sun beds are taken up quickly and they are not given up very easily. In the hotel there is a very limited amount of people who can actually understand english probably only person who can understand English properly is Natalya receptionist manager. The hotel is filled with German and Russian tourists who are either old and grumpy or young and grumpy, and are not very happy people, but it didn't stop us from having a good time.

The hotel is filled with loads of things to do, it has lounge area in the lobby which is waited on and drinks are available to order for free, also there is a coffee bar below the lounge area which closes at 6pm here they serve all sorts of cakes and ice cream.

On the whole the food wasn't great and i cant change the other guests, but we had a great time.

P.S. Do not use the rent a car in the hotel, take a walk outside make a right once you walk out the entrance and look for a rent a car spot and the name of the guy Zafer, you can bargain with him and he tends to know a lot of people so he can get you turkish prices rather than tourist prices.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a partial view of the sea facing the mountains, they are very quiet as they face...

My wife and I with our two young sons have just returned from the first visit to Turkey and Antalya. We stayed at Lara Barut Hotel and Spa which turned out ot be an excellent choice. We arrived 2.00 AM after some flight delays but at the hotel check-in a nice surprise was waiting for us. We were upgraded from a Junior suite to a Resident suite that had two large bed rooms with own bathroom and spacious living room with mini kitchenette. The residence program included free of charge room service available around the clock, free of charge minibar that was refilled every day, towel service, free of charge facial treatment at the spa, residence lobby with DVDs and books to rent for free, etc. Wow.

The service at the restaurants and bars was very friendly and the evening/night programs were excellent. The staff mainly communicated using German and Russian but only a few times we (using English as our first choice) were not understood by the staff.

The food at the buffet restaurant was OK, the selection was very big at breakfast, lunch and especially dinner; fresh juices, over 10 different salad options and over 20 different desert options just to name a few details. We also used the option to dine out in one of the five signature restaurants of the hotel. One item that I personally was left missing from the food selection was feta cheese that was not available at all. The basic (Turkish) wine selection was a disappointment too, beer was ok.

Finally, the rooms, restaurants, rest rooms and the multiple pool areas were exceptionally clear and tidy. As the weather seems to be quaranteed to be sunny and warm I am sure that we will return to Turkey and most likely to this fine establishment or to another all inclusive Antalya resort with good tripadvisor rating. I can highly recommend this one for you with no hesitation.

Room Tip: The residence suites are on the quiet side of the hotel complex = no noise from the evening programs...

i have just returned from my second visit to this hotel on arrival we were upgraded to the junior suites which was a real treat, as we had taken our two daughters and son in laws and grandchildren with us they all agreed it was the best hotel they had ever stayed in.it was just as amazing as the last time if not better.the entertainment team are amazing and work so hard to ensure you have a good holiday.this year there was a giant inflatable put inside the swimming pool it was hilarious with everybody sliding and falling off.i am 58 years young and went on, it was the funniest thing i have ever done.the food has dropped slightly in variety and quality especially in the turkish restaurant but dont let this put you off this is my oppiniun.it was my daughters birthday while we were there we went to the barbecue where she was presented with a cake with sparklers which was a nice touch.we are looking forward to going again next year.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the pool

Totally recommended. Food great and staff fantastic especially Ibrahim, you must visit him for cocktails. Nice spacious feel, impeccably keppt gardens, nothing seemed to be in need of repair or in need of updating. Rooms lovely, stayed in front facing sea view. No real need to leave hotel although plenty of trips can be organised within the hotel. Activities good and the pool was excellent. Would definitely go back again even though we hardly ever go back to the same place twice. We did not use the spa facilities but like the rest of the hotel the facilities looked very good.

Room Tip: Go for rooms ending in 4 in main building, these are located on the corner with better views of reso...
