We spent 9 days at the resort begin of september this year. enormous variaty in food and drinks.
Personel of the restaurants were very kind and helpfull. also the animation team succesfully animated us. Although the rooms aren't that new anymore...., but everyday it's being kept clean quite good! We had a very nice time at the resort and the kids loved it!

We spent 2 weeks here at the end of July this year, returning at the start of August. We had previously stayed at the Delphin Palace, just along the beach, and had hoped this would be as fantastic. It wasn't, in our opinion, but it was still very nice.
On arrival we were upgraded to a family suite, as we had a night flight and the kind man on Reception said we looked tired! Bless him, that was a real treat - 2 toilets, a jacuzzi bath, 2 balconies, 2 large tvs, a very large comfy bed and a sofa / seating area. Really, really nice.
Food wise, this hotel is OK but gets a bit samey. Breakfast is a bit of a letdown, unless you like bread and cakes and eggs. No pastries as such, no pancakes, no mushrooms, tomatoes, anything like that. But its ok. For lunch there are some lovely places to eat, around the pool and on the beach - kebabs, pizzas, burgers, salads, chicken, cakes. Dinner is ok, much the same thing every night but the a la cartes are nice, especially the Indian - out of this world!
The bad things; sunbeds!! Oh My Goodness! My husband had to get up at 5am every day to get a bad round the quiet pool (the big pool is so noisy you can't relax at all - fine if you like that sort of thing, but we like to chill out and read). Next, drinks. All inclusive doesn't mean all inclusive here, even in mid Summer. If you want certain brands of drinks, or fresh fruit juice, or even an ice cream around the pool, you have to pay extra! That isn't "All Inclusive" to me, especially at the price we paid! And the quality of some of the soft drinks is questionable - pre-mixed diet coke so watery it was undrinkable sometimes, and large vats of 'made up' cocktails under the bar that tasted very weak and very strange! You might want to think about the Sultan for a Day thing - priced from 45E to 60E depending on whoch pavillion you pick. We did it twice, around the quiet pool at 45E each, but to be honest, it isnt as amazing an offer as you think. You get the pavillion, yes and a fridge with some drinks in, but you don't really get personal waiter service. You get a waiter who walks around from time ot time, but you will wait ages for your drinks and its quicker to get them yourself! And you get 1 icecream each in the afternoon at about 3pm! You may also have to wrestle with other people to get them off your private sunbeds! Another gripe would be the sleazy photo guys that wander around the pool 'befriending' you, in the hope that towards teh end of your stay you will commit to a photo shoot with them. I say sleazy, because 2 of them insisted of flirting overtly with our 13 year old daughter, making her and us feel quite uncomfortable at times! We tried to be friendly when declining the offer of a 'shoot' but in the end had to resort to rudeness and avoidance! Oh and the free wifi - only available in certain areas, and only at certain times! Not what you'd expect from a 5 star hotel these days.
On the whole, we had a nice holiday. The hotel is lovely, very clean and the staff are friendly. The weather was amazing the whole time we were there. The transfer time to the airport is brilliant - just 20 minutes. My daughter was unwell the 2nd week, diahorrea and vomiting, but I genuinely think this was due to her ingesting some pool water, as we all ate the same food, all had ice etc, but only she was unwell. It lasted for 2 - 3 days and then she was right as rain again.
If you are thinking of booking Limak Lara, just check out some of the others along the strip, like the Delphins, or the Concorde, or the Royal Wings first. Other people we spoke to all said they had been to the others and preferred them. But if you go here, you will have a lovely time - as long as you are aware of the small issues above. Oh and if you are British, don't expect to see many other Brits! The first week there were only 3 British families and the second there was about 10! Lots of Russians, who I have to say were extremely rude and guilty of most of the dawn sunbed reservations, and quite a few Dutch who were lovely.
If you go, I'm sure you'll have a lovely time.

Room Tip: Family Rooms are nice - good to have 2 balconies for drying towels!

Together with our friends and their two kids (3 & 5 years old), we deciced to book a holiday in hotel Limak Lara. For our friends it was a first holiday in Turkey, so we wanted to play safe to make a good first impression.
The location of the hotel is excellent as it is located at a 20-minute drive from the airport. Certainly a plus when travelling with kids getting tired after a 7 hrs travel.
The family rooms were spacious including 2 bathrooms and a jacuzzi. The maintenance of the rooms was less spectacular. The room did not see a vacuum cleaner for the whole week and the used glasses were not changed every day. Our rooms were facing on the one side the main road and traffic was quite loud so that sleeping with an open window was out of the question. The other windows were facing a central pool area which was accessible by anybody. So that window could not be left open as well.
The food was OK in general. However we had our doubts about the hygiene due to the sparrows flying freely in the restaurant area.
In the bar area, there was limited seating possibility expecially in the evening when it was too cold to sit outside.
The kids looked forward to swim in the inside pool, but the water too cold to feel comfortable.
The hotel wants to give an oriental outlook and chinese pictures and signs can be found thoughout the entire hotel. The oriental atmosphere could not be found in the food & drinks offered, background music, etc.
Afterall the holiday was good, but on the Lara/Kundu hotel strip one can find better value for money.

The hotel is very spacious with plenty of nicely decorated rooms and sitting places the rooms were spacious at least the junior suite that I was in but it was full of all kind of insects specially ants were all over the room. the A/C was very hot also the fridge was not cooling and to get some ice you need to go down to the bar and get some in a" trash bag" which is absolutely shameful. the housekeeping was bad.the food verities and taste need to be improved. also you have only two hours to change your beach towels from 4-6 which is not convenient at all. they have limited tables at the tea house where there is a live music at night they need to put more tables or move the band to somewhere else. the free internet is only in the main lobby which is a shame fore a five star hotel. conclusion if you are looking for good hotel with good services look somewhere else.

Great hotel with nice combination of indoor- outdoor pools and beach facilities. More then enough variety of restaurants and bars. 90% of the staff very friendly. Great room with all necessary facilities. Negative points are: not enough elevators, way too much noise from the hotel parties and the neighbour hotel parties (almost every night) so bring ear protection or you won't sleep! Local alcohol like wodka, gin, cognac, campari are all cheap fake.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room if that exists in this hotel? Even our grand suite was very very noisy at night...

the hotel is very nice situated, the beach is a nice one, with sand ( no stones) and clear sea.
the hotel has a lot of nice activities, for all ages. There are quiet places at quiet pools, and there is also the activity pool where they have nice games but not too much.
For the kids, it s like a big playground , and for the adults it s like a big restaurant :)
Nice food everywhere, and no waiting lines.
It s true that some bartenders aren ' t nice, but there are also nice ones. Once you get to know them, they start to relax .
The entertainment team is a group of crazy people :) , they make you feel good all the time !
Thanks to Olga, Nina, Koray and Iko !

Room Tip: we had a standard room with 2 adults and 1 child, and there was enough space for the 3 of us. Ther...

It was our first visit to the limak lara hotel. And it was the best we had ever experienced. The hotel is super well maintetained, the service is unique good, the staff in all areas of the hotel very friendly and helpful. The food is incredibly good and varied. The animation and the shows are very professional and good.

Now the bad news: my family will never go to another hotel, so we will probably come to end of our lives again:-)
