Have just returned from a week at this great hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it. The entire week was very relaxing and this was down to the excellent staff in this hotel. The view is also exceptional. Will definately return to kalkan and this beautiful hotel

We didn't stay here but I booked myself and 3 girlfriends in for treatments at the Spa before we left on holiday. They have lots of packages to choose from and from the moment we arrived we knew we had made a good decision to come as we were treated like royalty!

The traditional Turkish bath was good fun with all of us being done at the same time and then we each had different massages/facials etc.

The staff don't appear to speak very good English but were always smiling and wanted to make you enjoy yourself.

My massage was fabulous and the whole Spa package and treatments were excellent. We paid around £55-80 for different treatments and were there a good couple of hours. My masseur was a girl called Sinem and she really was excellent.

There is a chill out area in the swimming pool where you can just doze off and relax and also there is a small area outside with loungers for use in the Spa.

Considering this is a big hotel we were the only guests in the Spa - which was great for us!

All in all a very good visit and will return!

The likya residence was just perfect! The views from the pool and restaurant are amazing!

We stayed in the Likya retreat room to the side of the main hotel. The rooms were lovely. Clean plenty of space but if we stayed again we would stay in the main hotel just because there are a few flights of steep steps to get to the retreat rooms but it wasn't really an issue.

The whole team at Likya are so helpful and friendly. Our favourite waiters were Ibraham and Emra. Food is so good! Breakfast is included and plenty to choose from. Good menu to choose from for lunch and dinner.

Kalkan itself is a lovely place. This was our first time to Turkey and were told before that we would be hassled by shop and restaurant owners but other than at the front of the harbour this was not the case. The restaurants are gorgeous our fave was the Kalamaki restaurant and a bar called the fountain bar.

Girls, would recommend leaving the heels at home and when walking around Kalkan you will need flats as it is so hilly!

We will definitely come back soon!

Room Tip: Stay in main hotel if you want to avoid the steep steps on the retreat rooms!

It was around 2008, that we saw the Likya residence being finished and waiting for holiday makers to arrive. This year we returned to Kalkan and were fortunate enough to stay for two weeks. We were not disappointed and it certainly lived up to both our highest expectations and the comments that have been made by others on this site.
The standards for this 5 star hotel are way up with similar hotels elsewhere and the staff are courteous, friendly and super efficient. I wont repeat what others have said, only to say the breakfasts were to die for and lunch whether taken at the bar or under the outside canopy was beautifully cooked, presented on the plate and brought to you without delay. The evening a la cart meals were a gastronomic delight and the attendance of Mohamed with his grace and suave manner at your table made any evening meal a pleasure.

The swimming pools are an oasis of chic and uncluttered refuge from the blistering temperatures and if boiling sun is not your forte, then the infinity pool which is half in and half out of the sun is not to be missed. We had a couple of minor issues with our room which I brought to the managers attention and oh, if all lifes ups and downs were resolved as quickly as Seviye managed, the world would be better for it.

The room was larger than most. It was very clean and the bed huge. I would mention the complimentary water, which was not only in the room when we arrived but also every day. It may only be a minor point but as anyone who travels to hotels in Turkey will know, it avoids having to smuggle a bottle in each day or constantly buying it at the bar. Full marks go to the owner and management team for thinking about this issue.

The views from the room (and indeed all the rooms) is outstanding. Looking out towards the harbour or out to sea especially as daybreak is rising was truly breathtaking.

To summarize. A beautiful hotel, with standards of service second to none in a location that has inspired many to return year after year.

Room Tip: All rooms face the sea but avoid the rooms that have a shower over the bath and not a walk in type. Unless you have exceptionally long legs and are agile you may experience some difficulty getting in and out.

Back again ! A lot of new faces on the staff but Muhammet has everything in control as always....including most of the female guests ! The food seems to improve every year and the service impeccable. There are some great restaurants in town but I do think that the Lykia restaurant area has one of the greatest nighttime views and food to match.
We see a lot of the same faces from year to year, every year we hear this will be the last one and every year we all return, that says it all !
I do hope that that company will spend some time and money on the Likya and not just on building new hotels it starts to need a little TLC and it would be a shame to let it slide, a few people have commented and I'm sure that Muhammet and Sevvy will keep on top of it. That said , we were very comfortable and treated very well as always.
Hi to Ibrahim, Sezai , and the rest of the staff...thanks to you all once again.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front of the hotel lose the sun in the afternoon which we prefer but all rooms have a wonderful view.
