We have just returned from three lovely weeks in the Diana apartments, part of the Dionysia Hotel in Kalkan Turkey. Last year we stayed in the hotel, which we gave five stars, but as we were staying for longer wanted more facilities, such as a fridge and a washer.
We were greeted warmly, by the lovely Kate and Ahmet, when we arrived and shown the apartment. It was very clean and so cool. There is a large fan in the living area and free air con in the bedroom.
Marble floors run throughout with rugs scattered around. In the main living area there are two settees, one of which pulls out into an extra double bed, side tables, lamps, dining table and chairs. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, kettle, sink, hob, dishwasher, pots and pans, glasses, dishes, plates and cuttlery. There is also a juicer to make use of the oranges that you can buy locally.
A welcome hamper was waiting for us and had all that we required for the next couple of days.
The bathroom has a toilet, sink, shower and washing machine. The bedroom has a large double bed, plenty of storage, dressing table and bedside tables. There is also a mosquito plug to plug in at night.
The balcony at the front has enough room for a small table and two chairs. The views are amazing and always something different to see. There is also a small balcony leading from the bedroom with a clothes horse for washing or just beach towels and swim wear.

The swimming pool is a couple of seconds across the road and the swimming pool is sparkling. There is a pool bar open from 8am-8pm for drinks and snacks. The lunchtime snacks we had were very tasty and a wide menu to choose from.
There are alot of sunbeds, small tables and parasols and as long as everybody is fair and does not reserve beds whilst they go into town, plenty for everybody.

There is a moonlight bar at the top of the hotel and it is worth the climb to get the brilliant views of Kalkan. There is also the hotel restaurant and again a wide range of choice for all prices and tastes. On a Saturday night there is a barbeque night where the staff make sure you have a good time, which is also their aim for the whole of your stay.

Across the road, next to the apartments, is the garden area were you are able to watch television, usually sports, or sit in the comfortable chairs.

Even though we were in the apartments, we were able to open an account and charge drinks and meals, and the use of a safe, to pay at the end of our stay.

I had a couple of amazing massages with Ismet and recommend them one hundred percent. He will relieve your tension and make you feel totally relaxed.

We were so sad when our time came to leave. We have made some wonderful friends in Kalkan and hope to be back as soon as we can.

Room Tip: I would not had neen disappointed with any of the apartments. There are two on the ground floor, tw...

This attractive hotel is located on a peaceful road a few minutes walk from the harbour and old market. It's spotlessly clean and the staff make every effort to ensure guests have an enjoyable stay. There is a good choice of food for breakfast which is eaten on a lovely terrace with a delightful view of the sea. The pool and quiet poolside bar are also very pleasant, the staff are very welcoming and there are plenty of sunbeds available. Our room had a good ceiling fan as well as effective air conditioning and we were also supplied with an electric mosquito deterrent. We didn't really expect much given what we had paid despite the good reviews but we were very impressed by this hotel as were all the other guests we spoke to. We would definitely choose this hotel again if we return to Kalkan and would not hesitate to recommend it for a great relaxing stay.

I strongly recommend this hotel!
For our first visit to Turkey and Kalkan, this hotel provided a really satisfying introduction and would be hard to beat.
The location is ideal being halfway up the hill with easy access to a lot of shops and facilities but far enough away from the main bustle and harbour if you want peace and quiet. The hotel facilities are very good with a lovely clean pool and poolside snack bar. There is also a garden bar if you feel the need to catch up on football but this never interferes with your stay if you don't want it. Additionally, a main attraction is the moonlight roof terrace bar which offers stunning views of Kalkan and the harbour and beyond. It's a very relaxing and enjoyable experience to sip your cocktail or beer as the sun goes down. Furthermore there is an adjacent rooftop hotel restaurant providing a range of meals to suit most pockets.
Let's get the next bit over and done with ... yes the rooms are quite small, but, I didn't travel here to stay in the room; once inside I was really pleased with the cleanliness and excellent air conditioning, the access to electric sockets and the small but useful balcony.
The staff are friendly, helpful and informative and do their very best to make your stay a pleasant one, I was very impressed with Ahmed the owner and Yusuf, Gurkan, Hassan, Nuree,, Mehmet and the cleaning staff.( apologies for spellings )
So ... friendliness 10, location 10, facilities 9, cleanliness 10 and if that isn't enough the hotel also offers a range of massages from a qualified and experienced masseur!
Nothing is perfection and there is room for improvement on the breakfast but it still provides a fair start to the day
In conclusion ... if you are going to Turkey try Kalkan and if you are going to Kalkan you should definitely try this excellent hotel.

Room Tip: the higher rooms enjoy much better views

Returned last week from a 2 week stay and didn't really want to leave. We had sea view room although the only benefit was the view when we woke up, as spent very little time there in day light hours. Room was spotlessly cleaned each day. Food was superb both at lunch and dinner.
Its only short walk into town but suggest to take the easy route across the hill rather than straight down. Jusuf was the star of the show but the whole team made this a very enjoyable first trip back to Turnkey after 20 years away!

We returned on sat 3rd aug from a fantastic week in this hotel. When we arrived at 10pm we were met by Yusef who insisted on making us some food. The barbecue had just finished but it was no trouble for him to Make us whatever we wanted. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and has lots of character, kind of faulty towers but with Nothing actually going wrong!. The rooms are small but very pretty with Turkish linen curtains, bed linen etc.For breakfast don't expect too much but there was always fresh melon, cereal, fresh bread, boiled eggs, yoghurt, dried fruit, tea, coffee etc., and beautiful views of the sea whilst you ate. The harbour and beach is just a 5 minute walk down hill and the town centre also a 5 min walk so location is superb. We have visited many parts of turkey and Kalgan has been our favourite so far. Views from the terrace bar at the hotel in the evening are breathtaking and the restaurant serves delicious traditional Turkish food in a romantic setting. Gurkan is always there with a friendly smile to serve your drinks until the wee hours if you want and Hassan works very hard helping too. Not only are the staff very friendly we found the other guests really nice too and met some great people.....you know who you are :). I cannot praise and recommend Izmet enough for his very professional massage. He always serves breakfast with a smile but has a hidden talent, he is a master at massage and I would HIGHLY recommend anyone who stays at the Dionysia to have one. The pool again is the cleanest we've ever seen. The pool area gets washed every morning before the guests are up. Yusef is a very hard working loveable character and excels in his passion for cooking and making sure you have a wonderful holiday. Thank you to all the staff for making ours a holiday to remember and we will definitely return next year.

We had a lovely holiday here the first 10 days of July staying in the hotel. We had a room with sea view just below the roof restaurant with an enclosed balcony, initially I was disappointed at not having an outside space but quickly realised that it gave us more space in the room and the view was a bonus! The window opened right up and there was a hanging rail to dry our towels, besides, just a fee steps up and we were on the roof top with the most amazing view over pretty Kalkan! The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and attentive. the breakfast was good and we had a couple of great meals in the moonlight restaurant. The pool area was spotlessly clean and very tranquil and the garden cafe was all equipped for Wmbledon!
Kalkan itself is the prettiest resort with a huge selection of restaurants all serving top class food and lovely little shops, our whole holiday was a great experience and would definitely go back!
