“Outstanding muntain gem!”
Reviewed 30 August 2017 for a stay in July 2017

What a amazing place!!
The villa is an idyllic home, set in a traditional Turkish village. The local shop and all the villagers were very welcoming and friendly; inviting us to sample the village cheese, milk etc. Hussain the owner of the village shop can speak a little English and has a good supply of daily essentials. Kalkan is wonderful with lots of winding streets leading to hidden treasures and the views as you approach from the mountains are spectacular. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly.
Deborah and Ramazan have thought of everything when providing for their guests in the villa. Prior to going I was in regular contact and it felt like we were visiting old friends when we first arrived. They are excellent hosts and fantastic cooks! When we arrived we were treated to a homemade sponge cake and tea, served in the peaceful, grape covered pagoda. The children loved the cake so much we ordered another one for the next week so we could enjoy afternoon tea again. Ramazan and Deborah cooked for us and could not make us more welcome. On our final night they cooked us an amazing dinner to celebrate an 80th birthday, serving plate upon plate of authentic Turkish cuisine. They also arranged for a lovely lady from the village to come to the villa to make us pancakes for breakfast as well as showing us how to make this traditional dish. Everyone was able to have a go, even my little Grandson.
The villa is very spacious with well decorated and maintained en-suite rooms. All areas are decorated to a high standard with each floor having a comfortable lounge area to relax and take in the spectacular views. My favourite was the 3rd floor with its wonderful 360 balcony. Outside there is a large patio area with infinity pool, a great barbecue area for outdoor dining and other seated areas to relax.
The villa's location up in the hills means the views are breath-taking. It is peaceful and we were treated to the sight of the sun setting behind the mountain every night. Even the calls to prayer echoed around the hills in a magical way.
The Villa Cennet Bahcesi is a hidden gem within the mountains and I cannot recommend this place enough. Without a doubt the best place we have stayed in!

“Fantastic hosts, great views, beautiful villa and a great base for the area”
Reviewed 23 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

This villa offers the best of both worlds on so many different levels - tucked away yet easily accessible, traditional Turkey village but 10 minutes from a bustling (but not off-putting) tourist resort and Turkish/English hosts (but don't worry, they are on hand but not in your face and decamp to their neighbouring cottage whilst the villa is occupied). High up in the hills overlooking Kalkan you would be forgiven if you think you are cut off from normal holiday civilisation, if you want that you have it, however, husband and wife villa owners Debbie and Ramazan organise airport transfers, taxis and trips with pick-ups from the villa if you want to get out and about. Debbie is also a great chef and we booked her and her team (including Ramazan) for some sumptuous Turkish breakfasts, dinner on arrival and BBQ on our last night. We were already planning our return trip when we weren't even half way through our first week!

“Beautiful villa”
Reviewed 13 May 2017 for a stay in May 2017

We stayed here for one night as part of a walking trip and it was fantastic. The rooms were lovely and spacious, the shower was strong and hot and the location and views are stunning. Debbie and Ramazan looked after and fed us extremely well with excellent afternoon cake and a wonderful dinner and breakfast. We'd definitely recommend here for short stays or to hire the whole villa.

“Overnight relaxation”
Reviewed 28 February 2017 for a stay in February 2017

We stayed overnight for a friend's 50th birthday celebration. We had afternoon tea with delicious scones.
Then a lovely dinner cooked by Debbie and served by Ramadan.
Then watched the sunset with a glass or two of wine
Our bedroom was very comfortable and looked out over the amazing views with Patara beach in the distance.
Next morning a Turkish breakfast
Lovely stay and great hosts
Thank you

“Even better than last year.....”
Reviewed 24 October 2016 for a stay in September 2016

returning to Villa Cennet Bahcesi was like meeting up with old friends - Debbie & Ramazan were there to greet us with tea & cake...we knew our holiday had begun!! We used the village shop more than last year. Husain, the owner was very helpful with the basics; delicious fresh bread & milk when required was produced within minutes in a cola bottle & butter (delicious) came out of the fridge in a plastic bag! We spent many days at the villa soaking up the rays & enjoying the pool...the warm evenings meant we could eat outside & the new canopy was lovely.
Not very energetic we had a fun day hurtling down the gorge in huge tyres & a couple walked a bit of the Lycian way. The Kalkan market provided us with souvenirs & we shopped frequently in the town where everyone was very friendly & helpful.
We had two boat trips on the Yildiz 2 which we hired out for ourselves.....we were treated to wonderful 'cruising' days around the area; the swimming off the boat was fantastic & the lunch produced on board by Captain Adem's wife was a feast for all.
Locally we would recommend the Pidė restaurant in Uzumlu.
We are a group of 11 mature friends & family.

“Turkey at its very best !”
Reviewed 17 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

We stayed with Debbie and Ramazan for 9 Days on a full board basis which I would recommend to anyone as Debbie's food is amazing. Debbie offered us a great choice of both traditional Turkish food and also some delicious European options. The accommodation is very spacious and everything from beautiful scented toiletries to beach towels are provided. The gardens are lovely and there is plenty of space to sit and relax in the shade as well as the many different terices to soak up the sun. There is a wonderful infinity pool to cool down in and watch the sun go down , the sun sets are incredible. Ramazan organised our transfers to and from the airport in a lovely air conditioned car for a very reasonable rate , and was always happy to drop us in near by Kalkan which is only 15 minutes down the road. If you want a real slice of Turkey in a wonderful setting this will be for you, we can't wait to return.
