Amazing holiday. Great resort, traditional holiday just like they used to be. Rooms were extremely comfortable even though I have been used to 5# resorts in recent years. The hosts and the local staff were warm, friendly and made our holiday and no doubt we will return. If your after a relaxing resort with out of this world food options and no big All Inclusive resorts to be seen anywhere this place is for you. I have been in the travel industry for nearly 20 years and this has been one of the nicest holidays I have been on.

We've been going to Kalkan for many years. Lizo was the first hotel we stayed in but then, amazingly, we discovered that a friend had an apartment there and we were able to take advantage of it. However, whenever we were there, we still went to the LIzo to dine at one of their excellent "special evenings". Last year, our friend sold his apartment so we returned to the Lizo as hotel guests and were received with open arms like long lost friends. It really is a wonderful place to stay where you feel like one of the family.

We have just had a wonderful 2 week holiday at the Lizo Hotel. The rooms although basic have everything you need and are kept vary clean. Ali and Sarah are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Their local knowledge exceeds that of local agents.I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: We had a room overlooking the pool which was nice.

For us this was just 3 nights stay before checking into our Villa. Kind of a holiday, before the holiday if you will. We were late in arriving, around 1am. Ali was waiting for us & more than happy to help us up to our rooms & ask if there was anything he could get us! Rooms are very clean and had all we needed for a few nights stay. Air con was included in the room rate -booking.com. Bathrooms were more than adequate. (Rooms 'menekse' & 'Karanfil') I personally didn't spend much time at the hotel during the day. However my grandparents had a few hours around the pool, which they say was nice a peaceful. Not a huge pool, but what do people want? Its a small family run hotel. They have an honesty book, of which you write down any drinks you take from the fridge around the pool. This says an awful lot about how trusting the AY family are, so please be HONEST! Breakfast is served upstairs on the terrace, lovely ottoman style seating up there too. A basic Turkish breakfast, but enough to kick start the day. We enjoyed the BBQ evening on the Saturday. Tradition food, great Meze & Ali's mums rice pudding is to die for! Sarah & Ali do a good job at making their guests happy. Being use to huge resort hotels, it was very different for us. But we were more than pleased. Slight hill heading
Up to the lizo, but rather unavoidable in kalkan. Thanks for kick starting our holiday. Maybe see you in thw future!

We stayed for a week in this typically Turkish hotel for the third time and found it even better with the refurbishment.Ali and his English wife sarah are always so helpful and welcoming and do a great job making sure all the guests are happy.Alis father Mehmet is a fantastic cook and we joined them on their special fish/lamb/&BBQ nights. All the guests were so friendly and had visited many times before some even twice a year..which speaks for itself !! We definitely will return"well done ALI & SARAH"

Stayed here in June, great times, food is superb, the special nights that Ali +Sarah put on were fantastic, the amount of food was tremendous. As for the views from the roof top where the food is served are some of the best in kalkan. Rooms are very good towels changed daily, so very very clean. Look forward to another stay, thanks to all the staff.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the olive grove are the quietest
