We stayed for last week of season in the cheapest "deluxe suite" which is their most basic room. Not basic by our standards ! Spacious, with big corner sofa, lovely soft furnishings, king size bed, big shower, marble everywhere. They'd upgraded up for free to 2nd floor with view of the bay. Only gripe was tiny balcony. Free big bottle of water provided each day into little fridge and fresh towels and room serviced daily.

Staff were almost all ( one MISERABLE girl on reception ) very friendly, polite, great service especially bar staff, waiters and night porter - lovely chap. Breakfast buffet was very good with different hot items every day, great choice of cold meats, cheese, tomatoes and olives - fabulous bread, jams, cereals, muesli, loads of fruit, 4 juices and a chef standing by for eggs any way you like. Perfect. We ate sitting over the pool with the warm sun on our back.

Pool area is fine, very very comfy loungers, lots of umbrellas and loos close to hand. Bar is reasonable except cocktails I felt and nice loos close at hand. Free towels you collect from reception.

Wifi was good, bit patchy sometimes but we even logged in our room.

Ate by the pool once, food very decent.

This hotel is a good 10-15 min stroll down into town which we enjoyed but a taxi back at night can be a nice treat as it can feel a long way after a good night out - 11 lira. Very quiet end of town except for barking competitions but we soon zoned out and the double glazing is pretty good. Air con is very good but nights were cool in Oct so didn't need it at night.

Did a boat trip on Kalamaki - round the bay, stop for snorkelling, very nice crew - clean and comfy boat. Recommended.

Rep Mandy from Anatolian Sky was fabulous, came to find us every day to check if we needed anything, great for local info - gave us her mobile for emergencies, very reassuring.

Turkish people very sweet and helpful, just loved everything about Kalkan.

Ladies be warned don't bother with high heels, treacherous shiny cobbled streets, some 1:1 slopes - just go casual sparkly flip-flops or risk a broken ankle !!!

Having read the reviews we decided this hotel looked good value, well the pools are very good and clean, bedrooms large well worn and bathroom with jacuzzi very tired, jacuzzi was tried did not get into the water because of the smell.
Staff all very willing and helpful.
Lunches are recommended at a fair price.
Breakfasts very average plenty of choice but cooked food heavy,Turkish omelettes cooked to order ok.
This was our 4th visit to Kalkan in 10 years It still appeals pity the hotel group don't make a little more investment !

Our return trip to the Asfiya was just as enjoyable as our first, we were greeted as long lost friends rather the customers. The service from all the staff was delivered in a very professional yet friendly manner. As before many of the other guests were return visitors which again shows the level of customer satisfaction being delivered by the hotel and it's staff.
The breakfast buffet was again the highlight of the day with an extensive selection available to suit all of both hot and cold dishes. Although the weather was not up to the normal October standard it did not spoil our enjoyment, even on the rainy day. The crowning glory is the staff who without doubt go beyond the call of duty to deliver the very best service to all customers.

Room Tip: Try a suite to give that extra room.

Returned last week from the Asyfia, we had the Honeymoon Suite; it was lovely. It had a huge balcony with harbour views, two very comfortable sunbeds the only thing missings was a hot tub (or indeed a cool one!). The room was comfortable and well appointed. The bed was just right for us - no compliants. The staff were wonderful, Sema runs the hotel with discreation and is always on hand to help or advise. Special mention to Muharem, Mutlu, Adem and Mehmet, they were so helpful and always smiling. Breakfast was good, lots of choice, the lunch menu was fine. The bar service excellent. Thank you Asfiya for a great holiday.

Room Tip: The honeymoon suite is great, high enough to see the harbour and watch the boats come in and out.

Returned a couple of weeks ago from the Asfiya. We were in penthouse 1 which was fantastic with its own pool and fantastic views of Kalkan. We could not fault anything with the exception of the hard bed in our room. the food was fabulous breakfast and the lunch time menu, always freshly prepared and very tasty. The staff are exceptional in particular Adem and Mehmet who looked after us very well. I visited Kalkan maybe 13 years ago on a day trip and it always stayed in my mind to go back, I just wish I had come back earlier, we really wanted to stay longer it was so relaxing and beautiful. Can understand why people come back, cant wait until we do.

The staff at this hotel make your holiday. They are so friendly and attentive without being intrusive. There is a wonderful spa in the basement where you can have a Turkish bath, sauna, plunge pool and massage.I had three!
This was a real chill holiday, loved it! Kalkan is absolutely charming, great restaurants to suit all pockets. If you want a special treat try the Pavilion restaurant overlooking the sea, amazing food and service..We loved this holiday so much we have booked it up again. Can't wait.

Room Tip: Penthouse for a real treat.
