Another fantastic holiday

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 5 Nov 2012
Yet another wonderful holiday at Pasha!!
This is simply the best place to stay with such a lovely couple looking after your every need. Mark and Imelda are the perfect hosts with such great local knowledge - they know all the best places to eat, and more importantly those to avoid!! The rooms are all individual in decor and theme, with lots of little personal touches that make them unique. I am not going to bother repeating all the recent reviews because that is pointless and boring, but just to say we have only been home 24 hours and have already booked for next year!!
WELL DONE Mark and Mellie - keep up the good work.

It's all been said before...this was our 1st visit to Kalkan and we stayed at Pasha for 2 weeks. Lovely large rooftop apartment, well run by Mark and Imelda who communicate well from booking to seeing you off home. They will organise taxi transfers, restaurant bookings and anything else you need, including take away deliveries if you would like them. 3 days in we liked it so much we booked for 2013. If anything could be improved it would be the shower (didn't stay up on the holder when on full) and a full length mirror in the apartment would be good but that is about it. Air con works very well and the bed was comfy. Spotlessly clean and adequate self catering facilities.

Room tip: Room 9 was rooftop, lovely to have table and chairs and loungers on the terrace

Very chilled and great atmosphere. Lovely pool area and most days not too crowded. Great cocktail bar after 6pm with Deniz (but please add Strawberry Daiquiri to your repertoire!) :-).
Good base to explore Kalkan and surrounding areas.

Room tip: All different, but we like the character of the garden room.

Just got home from Pasha, it was another wonderful holiday. Mark Imelda and Deniz were brilliant as usual.
We had a totally restful holiday, just lazing by the pool, which is so peaceful.
We visited the bar most nights, sampling Deniz's fabulous cocktails, before heading off to
one of the many restaurants.
We have reserved our stay for next year. I just can't wait.

We returned to stay at Pasha and had another wonderful holiday in Kalkan. Mark and Imelda were there to welcome us after an excellent transfer from Dalaman with Brave Tours. Room 7 was first floor and central with a balcony directly overlooking the quiet pool area. The cleanliness and chilled atmosphere were just as good as ever. Dennis was still making superb drinks and the service, friendliness and efficiency from everyone are way above and beyond what you might expect. Mark and Imelda have a real gift for making everyone feel like family friends. This year we hired a car (also Brave Tours) for most of our stay and really got out and about - see reviews of Pinara, Letoon and Arycanda. Patara beach remained our favourite though - worth buying a 10 day pass from the entry gate if you'll visit more than a few times.
Kalkan itself was just as good as we remembered. Some restaurants change around but firm favourites and new discoveries made for an expanding waist. Can thoroughly recommend The Small House for delicious home cooked food and a unique experience. The Olive Garden remained well worth booking and a balcony at Sade is a great experience.
We talked to lots of people who visit more often than us or who live in Kalkan and there is development. More villas being built on previous olive grove hillsides and more big screen sports showing in the bars. But it is still a quiet resort compared to some, and in a stunning setting. Pasha Apart-Hotel is, I think, most suited to couples who appreciate genuine friendly hosts, clean simple rooms and facilities in a great location, a superb chill-out bar and a secluded pool area that has no muzak (!) but is more like a private garden. We learned Mark and Imelda plan to run Pasha for some years yet - so get booking!

Room tip: Room 3 will be next to the bar area and may get some evening noise but we were not disturbed much in 2010. Room 7 has a lovely balcony overlooking the pool at the back. The two rooms on the top floor have the largest outdoor areas.

What a wrench it was to leave our home from home, This was our third stay at Pasha and yet again we were made to feel like family to Mark and Imelda who have become dear friends. We had our wedding there last year, so we feel a real bond with this place. We had an amazing time in beautiful Kalkan enjoying new restaurants which as usual Mark and Imelda organised for us. They are such brilliant hosts and really go the extra mile ensuring that all of their guests and visitors to the bar on an evening receive top class service. They are so helpful and really care and are interested in everyone they talk to. Deniz is a top class barman and having sampled numerous cocktails around the town he is with no shadow of a doubt SIMPLY THE BEST! 7 pm is my favourite time around the bar, cocktails with friends we have met over the years who stay there and others just popping in on their way to dinner, it is well worth stopping off on the way out and very often for a nightcap or three on returning from dinner.

We have booked again for three weeks next year and the sad thing is I am wishing my life away until we can go and stay again, hopefully if we can get a reservation as they are already nearly booked for next year (speaks volumes) we may sneak a cheeky week in.

The rooms are spotlessly clean and I love the newly upholstered settees which look great. Beds are so comfortable as are the pillows, I remember waking up on the first morning having sampled a few of Deniz cosmos to the wonderful smell of Pasha sheets, I knew I was there before I opened my eyes.

Thanks Mark, Imelda and Deniz for a fabulous holiday yet again, thanks for recommending us some new and terrific restaurants this year ie: Cafe Ev and good old Honkers kebabs to die for.

We did prefer ground floor this time , room 5 , must be getting old!!

Room tip: Rooms on ground and 2nd floor are cooler than rooftop with balcony. Room 5 is great.
