What can I say, what a lovely hotel, beautiful pool, amazing rooms with great views, fantastic staff who can't do enough for you. Thank you Pumpkin, Ali and everyone else. BBQ/Party night on Thursday is wonderful, finished of by a spot of dancing (on the bar if you so desire). Great location, not too far to walk to the town Definitely recommend The Elixir and will be back.

Stayed here for a week and one of the best hotels I've stayed at. Clean, spacious rooms and attentive staff. The pool area was beautiful and clean - a great to relax away. Would definitely stay there again!

We have just had a fantastic 2 week stay at the newly refurbished Elixir Hotel. It was our first trip to Turkey and we felt extremely welcomed by all the friendly staff at the hotel. In fact by the end of our holiday we felt like we'd taken up residency and were part of the family! Nothing was too much trouble and always with a smile.

We had made many friends by the end of the holiday with other guests and staff. As it's a small hotel everyone gets to know each other, especially if you attend their Thursday night BBQ which was great fun.

The hotel is about a 15 minute walk into the main town and was ideally situated for us as it was quieter and gave us a chance to walk off the delicious food we'd been eating. You can always get a taxi which is around 10 lira (£3). There are also a number of excellent restaurants near by and the food at the hotel is excellent so definitely worth having dinner and lunch there.

A special thanks to Pumpkin and Ali for all the laughs at the bar and superb cocktails and to Samih and Huriye for their superb service.

Room Tip: Our room was a deluxe room 401, lovely and spacious with a waterfall shower, balcony and jacuzzi. It...

This was our first trip to Kalkan and the Elixir. The hotel is very comfortable and all of the staff want you to have an enjoyable time and make it what you want it to be. It is slightly out of town so you have to be prepared to walk or get a taxi. Other than that it was a perfect break. Pumpkin is such a lovely individual and a perfect host behind the bar!

This is our second stay at the Elixir and yet again it was fab! In fact even better because of the fantastic refurbishment which has recently taken place. Rooms are gorgeous and clean, beds are comfy and everything is cool and very Mediterranean. But that's all just material stuff, what really matters at this hotel are the wonderful staff, starting with Bilge on reception who is just the best receptionist. Then to the staff around the pool and bar, Semih, who is always around and is so helpful and polite but with a great sense of humour, Huriye, who's English is limited but is just lovely and always has a smile and a "hello" for you. And Pumpkin, the bartender extraordinaire! His cocktails will either kill or cure you and he'll have the shirt off your back, but he's also funny, warm, kind and has got a wicked sense of humour. He also pours a top beer, something he's currently training Huriye to do! Ask him about canoeing!! I recommend the BBQ night but be ready for dancing on the bar and staying up till all hours. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back. Loved it!!

Room Tip: Rooms were extended during the renovations and so all rooms are lovely. Although rooms over looking...

This was our first trip to the Elixir and it proved to be a good choice. Recently refurbished the hotel is very good indeed. The rooms are well furnished and the beds comfortable. The staff, in particular Sami and Happy are friendly and cannot do enough for you.

Room Tip: We had room 203 which was quiet and near to the lift.
