“Lovely, well-equipped & a perfect location”
Reviewed 21 May 2014

First stay in Villa Esra, part of the small, well-maintained Viewpoint complex, and it definitely won't be our last. Not only is the villa superb value, it is immaculately clean, with everything taken care of, including all the essentials like a little washing powder, hand soap, etc. Just small things that made a massive impression.

The villa itself is older in style but unlike some of the 'modern' villas we have rented, it's very well-appointed, easy to access and there are shops and restaurants within walking distance but which don't require an descent and ascent up an horrifically steep hill. What's not to like about that?! The villa prices are very reasonable, based on the costs we gave paid for villas previously, in fact we can't understand where some rentals get their figures from!

The couple who take care of the villas are lovely - we even got a delicious, homemade late afternoon snack delivered to our door! Nothing was too much trouble. Anne-Louise and Muzzafer who own the properties are equally friendly and accommodating. They even apologised for the over-running building work taking place at the Elixir Hotel, which was obviously out of their control. They seem to genuinely care about their guests.

Whilst the plots are relatively small, a couple of them (Esra & Gul) are nicely private and what they lose in outside space they win back in comfort, security and location.

Can't recommend Viewpoint Villas highly enough - we have already pencilled in our next trip!

Room Tip: Esra or Gul for best privacy

We have stayed in Viewpoint Villas for a few years now with friends and always look forward to it. The villa is clean and well cared for, and Gurol and Fatma look after everyone very very well indeed. The villas are a little way out of the main drag up the hill from the village. It is actually quite lovely to be just a little bit away from it all yet close enough to walk in should we want to. Anne-Louise is very helpful in organising everything for us, including any trips and transfers. Our trip to Viewpoint Villas is something we all look forward to all year. We were first made aware of Viwepoint Villas by word of mouth and have recommended the villas ourselves. The rate of return custom seems to speak for itself. Having a private pool is a real treat, and the beach club just down the road is well worth a visit, too. Roll on summer!

Great villa perfect for family! Lovely couple that owned it and fantastic caretaker Gurol and his wife Fatma who gave us flowers when we left. They left a fantastic Turkish breakfast on our arrival (loved it at 3am!) and where always so helpful! Loved every bit including private pool. Used the outdoor BBQ a few times! Uneedable three toilets, two baths and three showers! Great location, 10 mins walk to centre of Kalkan. Sea views! SUn most of the day. Best nearby restaurants include Cafe Vita and Cafe Aqua. Nice rooms, good kitchen. Small supermarket just 30 seconds walk away. Only a small problem with the DVD player otherwise everything great! Amazing town, good shops, cheap but nice food, great fakes!!! End of season great time to go as well! Over all fantastic and a good place to go.

Room Tip: All villa's perfect + garden room if needed!

Anna-Louise, the joint owner, couldn't have been more helpful. The booking was easy to do, she arranged car hire, advised us on things to do and sorted out any issues we had. The villa was clean, the welcome pack was thoughtful and appreciated and everything we needed was on hand including Wi-Fi for the kids. The villa was in a plot with, I think, 5 others and was quite close to the centre of Kalkan. There isn't a lot of room around the villa but this wasn't a problem as we met some lovely families and shared a few BBQs with them. Gurol and Fatma, the site managers, were lovely, helpful people and nothing was too much trouble for them
If we didn't have the car I think the walk in would have been hard work, but we seemed to be closer than the majority of villas and the kids managed the walk in 30 minutes after a few long nights out...I would recommend a car as we went out every day and visited some spectacular places. You can arrange tours through Anna-Louise but there is absolutely no pressure and, as a family of 6, it was easier to sort ourselves as we had the car.
A lovely, fun filled holiday with a perfect base in which to relax and chill.

We recently spent 10 happy days in Kalkan, myself my teenage daughter and her friend, staying at Viewpoint Villas in Villa Asli. This is a 2 beroomed villa, 1 twin, 1 double, both ensuite, a very light and airy open plan downstairs also with toilet. Dining table for 6, a very well equipped kitchen, not that I ever cooked!! TV/DVD. A table outside on the terrace plus 4 sun loungers. Aircon included. Kids loved having their own pool as did I, plenty of room in it. All kept spotless inc the surrounding gardens by Gurol and Fatma , the unobtrusive and ever smiling caretakers, always very helpful to us. It's about 15mins amble to top of the old town which we did every evening. However there are several restaurants very closer to home which we will sample next time. Also a very helpful welcome hamper of tea/coffee/bread butter/jam/milk/turkish breakfast!
Thank you Ann Louise Muzzaffer Gurol and Fatma

We have returned to Chidem three times now and have never been disapointed. Clean and well looked after with plenty of amenities near by! Realy good value for money. Gural and Fatma look after the villas and are always on hand should you need anything. We will be back!

We stayed here for one week, and am very happy with the choice made. The villa was immaculately clean, the welcoming note with helpful basic information as useful as the phenomenally precise directions to the villas. Gurul and Fatma were around but never overbearing as other reviews mentioned.
The villas are comfortable for up to 4 people though you could sleep 6. The swimming pool was a lovely perk and the sea views from the terrace and balconies gorgeous.
Would definitely come back to more hospitality.
