When I booked this hotel, it was pricey for my wallet and I was not sure if being on the peninsula was the right choice.. But the photos were nice... When we got there, we had been travelling for some 7 hours in the heat, we were cooked, tired and in the hotel there was no other guest in sight. The sea was rough. I did not like our room being onto the swimming-pool, I could only imagine the crown looking into our room all day and no privacy. The wi-fi in our room was not working. I wanted to leave the next day! We went out for dinner and took a look at a couple of places nearby - mmm, perhaps we should not move in such a hurry...
We had a good night sleep and the next day the world looked completely different!!
Breakfast was lovely, the breeze was in but the sea was a oil of calm, we saw other guests, here and there, but only a couple used the pool, for a short while. We went down to the sea point and the white beds were just like in the photos - beautifully comfortable and luxurious. We certainly were not going to leave in a hurry any more!!! We stayed for 5 nights and over this time it got better and better. Our room was huge, comfortable, in a couple of steps we could jump in the pool, the place was peaceful and private and they had real bar coffee to serve! Because the hotel only has 14 rooms, in practice there are hardly any people down at the sea or at the pool. We came across the other guests at breakfast, sometimes at dinner, sometimes in the water, but overall it was felt like we had our own place! Mehmet was amazing. Because the wifi was not working in our room and I had made such a fuss on arrival night, he came to provide a booster antenna and, when I could not use it with my iPad, he then offered me a laptop for my personal use!!! Needless to say that it was not needed, we just had to surf by the pool or in our patio, we were not on holiday to surf the Internet for God' s sake!!
The care and attention that the staff at Lycia Hotel gave us was impressive. Mehmet even had a friend buying and sending us a night bus ticket when all other attempts to buy one online failed, advancing his own personal money!! I do not think they could have done more to help us there. We had a great few days in a wonderful place (the photos are very accurate) and if we ever go back to Kas, Lycia is the place!!

Room Tip: The two junior rooms by the pool are the cheapest and the best placed if you will use the pool! We loved ours.

We had a wonderful week at The Lycia Hotel and were fortunate enough to have a ground floor room which opened onto a canopied patio surrounded by flowers looking onto the pool and a stunning view of the bay. It was nearly exclusively occupied by couples, with honeymooners staying next door.
Our room was spacious and clean although the bathroom was small. The decor was traditional. It was nice that the A/C was positioned so that it didn't blow onto our bed. The restaurant was in a prime, elevated position.Once again with spectacular views. The breakfast was very good indeed and dinner was freshly cooked and lovely too. The staff were helpful and friendly and respected your privacy.
There was a beach platform area with shaded beds and jumbo cushions which looked onto the island of Meis.
This hotel is great for couples but probably too quiet for families with young children.
We would recommend it highly.

Room Tip: A Seaview room around the pool - still peaceful but very pretty

everything was just great! the rooms, the atmosphere, the incredible view, the great clean turqouise-blue sea, the SERVICE ******, the meals, especially the breakfast which mostly consisted of self made food - marmelade, gözleme, pohca, bread (organic marmelades of every fruit available in the mediteranean area) fresh fruits. Everybody was very kind and willing to help especially Mrs Sema who gave us a case of her fig marmelade to take home to Austria :-) and also the waiters and the other staff! Even extra wishes were fulfilled without demanding any extra payment.
Tesekkürler Lycia hotel! We'll come back!

Have just recently had a wonderful stay here in this lovely hotel. It is a family run establishment which gives the place a lovely homely feel. From the time we booked Mehmet was help ful and pointed us in the direction of some lovely restaurants in Kas and organised us a lovely boat trip to Kekova. We stayed in the panorama suite which had a fabulous view across to the island of Meis. It was lovely to sit in the hot tub with a glass of wine and just while away the time. There was a nice deck area with two beds to relax on and read a book or just to have a snooze.

It was fairly quiet time in the hotel, but that was lovely. The staff at the hotel were excellent and service always of a high standard. A special shout to Mustafa who was lovely and made excellent coffee. Breakfast was a large banquet of cheeses and olives and fresh vegetables and beautiful homemade conserves. Each day a different addition was presented like cheese pasties or fresh watermelon. My partner likes muesli and Mary made sure there was some available every morning which was so nice....

The room was cleaned each day and always fresh clean towels, the shower room was a hamam which was a heated shower room. The walls and floor were heated. The room had a large comfortable bed which was great. The air con was nice when the weather was a little warm.

It was about 7km to the main town, so you really did need car, although I'm told a dolmas went by every hour. I think if you have a problem with mobility then there would be difficulties for some to get around. There is a very steep hill to come down to the hotel and it takes some skill to drive up it. You feel like you are in a rocket about to be launched into space when you are at the bottom waiting to drive up..you will know what I mean if you get the chance to stay here. There were a lot of steps down to the sea but it was lovely down there although there were some decoration of the facilities at this time so it did restrict our visits.

We also had some really nice meals in the hotel and in the centre of Kas, we did like the hospitality and friendliness of the Cinnalar restaurant. Prices were good although we did find the alcoholic drinks expensive so we had a fairly dry holiday, but it did seem appropriate as we're were in a Muslim country.

I really couldnt find a fault about the place although sometimes the wind did rattle the folding sun shade on the balcony and did wake us up in the middle of the night as it was rather windy at times.

I would thoroughly recommend the place to stay, it was a pleasure to stay in your lovely hotel. Thank you for your kind hospitality
