“Stunning outlook - peaceful, relaxing, personalised service”
Reviewed 27 July 2013

Stayed 3 nights in a hot July - located at the end of the peninsula, the boutique hotel provided a wonderfully relaxing respite.
Room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Staff were informed, available but not obtrusive.
Hotel restaurant was excellent-inexpensive and highly recommended. Have the garlic prawns and the lamb casserole. The hotel is 15 minutes from town centre by car or local bus. Walking is not really an option in hot weather. The peninsula road offers great views.
We enjoyed the spectacular views from our balcony and dining terrace across to Meis Island. It was a long walk down to the sea but a bit of fun checking out the cabanas of neighbouring hotels and immersing oneself into the deep. The hotel pool and environs were most inviting.

Myself and a few friends stayed here in mid July and I can honestly say it has been the most relaxing holiday i have been on.
Right from the off we were warmly welcomed by the owner Ikhlaque along with his staff who are charming, friendly, and always happy to accommodate your every need. We were shown to our Superior room which was impossible to fault; spacious, comfortable, clean with a large bathroom and a walk in shower. Then there was the balcony which offered stunning views overlooking the pool out into the ocean scattered with Greek islands, a joy to wake up to!
The pool with the ocean backdrop is perfect and a whole day can easily be spent poolside taking in the views with a beer or two or perhaps one of many cocktails offered at the pool bar.

We ventured into Kas a few times, which is only a 10 minute ride by bus. During the day there are plenty of shops to look around, and many places that offer various boat, and quad bike tours which are a must do, or for the more extreme, activities such as paragliding/kayaking. All which Ikhlaque said he we kindly book for us and get us the best deal.

Our time at Hotel Cachet can not be faulted, and i cannot wait to return next year where you can fully unwind, relax and forget about the rest of the world for a week or two, slice of heaven in Turkey!

Highly recommended! You will not be disappointed!

We spent 4 nights here and met many repeat guests. The expansive views must be seen as the pictures cannot capture the beauty. The hotel staff were friendly and beyond helpful. We had a spacious superior corner room on the top floor with a balcony that was spotless. Because there is an atrium, you do hear noise in the morning but we were early risers. The buffet breakfast is fresh and plentiful but you can also order an omelette. Wifi worked great - even outside as long there isn't a strong wind. The manager, Fikri was always there ensuring all was well with guests. Hotel Catchet is an oasis of peace and calm yet only 10 mins from Kas by car. You won't regret staying here!

Room Tip: The corner rooms on the top floor for the views and large balconies.

Forget Secret Escapes- this hotel is nothing short of a secret paradise. I say secret because I cannot fathom why The Times travel correspondent or any respected travel writer has not featured it before. Situated in some of the most stunning countryside that Turkey can offer with breath taking sea views, the on-line images of the Hotel Cachet can never truly convey its true beauty, let alone its charm.

My partner and I stayed in July 2013 and thoroughly enjoyed 7 nights in one of the Superior rooms, although we also sneaked a view into one of the standard double rooms which were equally well appointed. Despite near high season, we had the pool entirely to ourselves most days as there are plenty of places to visit and explore.

The service here is impeccable. For example, we arrived at 2am and were met by the owner Mr.Shah, whom, as we were to discover over the course of our stay, is not only an excellent host but exudes a serenity that is clearly infectious. Three days into our stay and we had forgotten anything stressful from home and slipped into a near coma of relaxation.

The views rival any I have enjoyed around the world in over 20 countries of travel. Such is the position of the outdoor pool and bar that it feels as though you are on a massive ocean liner or airship gliding silently with views of the ocean below. Infinity pools in high rise hotels elsewhere cannot touch the Hotel Cachet for this unique aspect across its endless panoramic views.

The staff are fantastic. Most favourable reviewers use words such as “courteous, helpful, nice, nothing was too much trouble” etc; by the end of our stay we had practically adopted one of the young waiters and invited the others to stay with us in England.

The chef in the Manzara Restaurant (and he really is one too – not a cook like so many other hotels of this size) is a real talent. Indeed, the dishes he creates are a mirror of the standards at the Hotel to which it is attached – beautifully presented, well priced, consistently delivering quality to the highest of standards. Most importantly, we have seldom eaten in a more spectacularly beautiful setting.

I could drone on about how unique the nearby Kas town is – unspoilt, charming and traditional, mostly devoid of the tat that masquerades as boutique shopping, with real craftsmanship from locals – However, I won’t be recalling these images on cold winter nights in England. No, it will be the Hotel Cachet atmosphere that will conjure serenity and beauty and ultimately what will make us both long to return.

Room Tip: Any view of the sea

We stayed at Hotel Cachet in the middle of June. We arrived to the hotel very late but were greeted by the hotel owner Mr Shar and Murat who gave us a very warm welcome. They even offered to reopen the bar but we declined as we were exhausted.
We were blown away with the room when we arrived. The room was large with a four poster bed and even had a single bed in the corner. The bathroom was a good size too with a walk in shower and two types of shower heads which was lovely. Everything seemed perfect, so we checked out the balcony to find stunning views which is when we realised we were in heaven.
We thought the views were amazing at night but when you wake up to them in the morning its completely breathtaking. I'm not sure we've ever experienced views like that. All you see is crystal clear water ahead of you and the Greek Island of Meis, we couldn't get enough photos. The best thing is that you experience this from your room, the restaurant and the pool.
Breakfast was wonderful, a good selection of fresh fruit, cereals, bread, cheese and they make you eggs however you fancy them, we loved the omelette. They also had a great selection of teas and coffee's so we really looked forward to breakfast every morning. The staff were very accommodating too, they waited on us like royalty. We had a couple of mornings where we were leaving early and they let us make up sandwiches which was very nice of them.
The pool area was very relaxing, lots of beds to lounge on in the sun. The pool was a great size and very clean. They have a lovely little bar next to the pool with a great chose of cocktails, beers, spirits and wine. The staff were so friendly that we often sat at the bar, chatted and made up our own cocktails, each day felt like a really personalised experience.
The food menu was very tempting, so we had lunch a couple of times. We can definitely recommend the chicken or haloumi salad, so delicious and quite possibly the best salad we have ever had. There was also a lovely little beach to walk down too, we snorkeled there a few times and were surprised at the amount of fish we saw.
The hotel is located about 15 minutes from the town center by bus which came every half an hour. The buses were air conditioned and stopped for you wherever you were. There was a little bit of a hill to walk up from the hotel to the bus stop but it was a good bit of daily exercise. The buses started around 8am and the last bus from town was around 12am.
We found that there was so much to see and do in Kas and they gave us same great tips of where to go. The diving was great, there is a lovely trip to Meis which we would recommend and we also did the kayaking at the sunken city which was fantastic. There are loads of other trips to do but ours was mainly taken up by diving.
Overall we had a fantastic holiday and would recommend this hotel and location to anyone vising Kas. We would like to thank the staff and owner for a fabulous stay and would love to come again soon. Truly wonderful :)
