“Second stay - even better!”
Reviewed 10 July 2012

A return trip to the peninsula gardens hotel in Kas. I NEVER go back to same place twice unless in a city eg Los Angeles so this was a first. I thout that my husband needed a relaxing break and Elixir did not disappoint. We had JADE which is had sussed out previously was the prime suite. Lovely room..quiet, spacious, calm, comfortable. Everything worked..air con effective, fridge cold...all super. Changes from 2011 are the sunbeds which are now multi adjustable...very comfortable, cabanas by the sea , direct sea access now via steps rather than platform which is better & a lovely new breakfast area overlooking sea (an excellent addition) . Only comments ..small ones but which would make my stay better would be bar staff and reception staff with a better level of English . The waiting staff were great and so are the reps but my Turkish is non existent and my skill with mime has its limits. Highly recommended all round though...great value for money. I'll go back to Kas again and travel with Elixir.

Room Tip: They are all great..depends on your purse but if you can afford a signature suite go for one on the...

You know when you book a holiday and you think looks fabulous and sounds like paradise and you arrive and are disappointed? Well this was certainly not one of those holidays. I can honestly say from start to finish the company treated us so well, the staff were exceptional and we had a fabulous time, you do really get what is advertised.

Room Tip: We stayed in Amethyst corner room sun all evening cooler in the morning

We have just returned from a fabulous week at the Peninsular Gardens in KAS. All of the website and trip advisor pictures show the hotel off well but being there is better !! The hotel is situated on a peninsular about 4 miles outside KAS town and has stunningly spectacular views. Staff are keen to help and the whole customer service ethos cannot be faulted.
We stayed in Amber room which has a good sized plunge pool and of the 18 rooms I guess that 10 have either plunge pools or swimming pools. All rooms have the stunning views. The hotel swimming pool was never crowded and the hotel has steps that lead into the sea (calm and refreshing). Hotel food is fab and is not overpriced

To summarise:

Positive Points:
1) Great rooms which have efficient air con, great bed (massive) and a large mirror on the ceiling!!!
2) Hotel runs a 3 times a day shuttle bus to KAS and the 7.30pm - 10.30pm run allows plenty of time for dinner and drinks in KAS (Maya Garden is recommended for great food)
3) As mentioned above, the staff in this hotel are always willing help and advise. Special mention to the restaurant manager and the young girl on reception (apologies for not noting the names)
4) Dinner includes some exemplory dishes and you must try the lamb dish and the turkish mixed grill
5) Spotlessly clean bedrooms and throughout the hotel

Minor points that could be improved upon:
1) The breakfast service was between 8am and 10.30am. Often had to remind staff that no glasses or bowls and fruit salad needed topping up. Great mushroom omelette though.
2) Could be more coffee in the rooms

BUT do not let these minor issues put you off. Peninsular Gardens is a fantastic hotel and we will be back again

Room Tip: Silver, Gold and Platinum rooms have the bigger pools

We have just returned from a 2 centre holiday with Elixir.
We stayed at the new Likya gardens (which we will review later) but also spent 4 days at Peninsula Gardens Kas in the Platinum suite.
The stay at Peninsular was a last minute request, arranged whilst at Likya gardens, and Elixir staff arranged the transfer and stay, exactly as requested.
This was our 3rd trip to the area having stayed at Likya residence and Asfiya previously, and Elixir
are the best operator to date.
A special thank you to Mustafa at Elixir, who was so accommodating.
Peninsular is a lovely hotel, with great staff, food, views,
Very contemporary, with huge beds, huge mirrors on ceilings over the beds ! Marble back lit floors etc. and we highly recommend.
Its too far to walk into town but the hotel has a shuttle at 7-30 pm with a pick up at 10-30 so its no problem.

If I had 1 small reservation, its only that the barbeque night was not good value at 85TL pp.
Its only 65TL at Likya for Turkish night, dancers etc, so this to me makes the barbeque at Peninsula expensive and not good value.(in my opinion)
Thats aside I cant see how you would not enjoy this lovely hotel.
I must stress Elixir would be our first choice from now on. VERY impressed.
Go, and you wont regret it.

Room Tip: 15 rooms have own pools of different sizes, 3 rooms no pools, so make sure you know what you are get...

We spent 5 days in Peninsula Gardens. From the web page, the hotel promises a paradise and he rates make you think that they are really good. Actually, the only good specialty of the place is well decorated rooms. Having said that, we stayed in CORAL room. It was a nice room but had a very small wardrobe which may create problem as well if you are not traveling light.
Apart from the room, the sea is unfortunately not so clean. Every time of the day we observed foam and dirt. The hotel explained that these are caused by the harbour nearby. It is a pity as there are beaches with blue flag within Kas and we expected a similar bay for this hotel as well.
The breakfast is very ordinary, far from our expectation from a specialty hotel. The dinner and lunch menus are better but not with a great variety of dishes.
There are suprising rules like "breakfast is served until 10.30" as if this place is a city hotel. The personnel tries to defend the rules of the hotel at first but after some talk they try to fix whatever the problem is. While I give credit to their efforts, I have to admit that we had many unnecessary talks to have a decent holiday.

We have just returned from a week at the Peninsula Gardens and can say that we had a wonderful time.

I am a particular person and generally find a few faults wherever we go but the biggest complaint at this hotel was the battery needed changing in the remote for the superb iPod player. As most other visitors say, the staff were pleasant and helpful and even on Sunday evening when we found an error in our departure times they called the Rep who sorted things out in two minutes from home.

I was a bit worried about prices but was pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel prices were similar to the UK. The town was even cheaper. The hotel has a minibus which promptly departs at 19:30 each evening to take guests to town if they fancy a change. We went on several occasions and found the experience delightful.

Kas is a family friendly town with many restaurants with excellent fish menus at low prices.

Guests must take the trip on the Gulet (boat) as it was a good way to get to meet other guests and the Captain cooks a smashing lunch.

We never go back to the same place twice but this time we may break our rule and return again, thank you for a lovely holiday.

We returned from Kas a few days ago. We were overwhelmed by the whole positive experience of our 14 day stay at Peninsula Gardens. We were a bit shocked to read the previous review but that related to last year and , if the hotel had teething problems (last year was its first season), then they have all been ironed out. The whole experience from the initial welcome right through to our departure was special. We stayed in Topaz - wonderful. The hotel staff could not have been more accomodating and Bilal (?spelling) ran the bar and restaurant service with impecable professionalism and always a smile. 14 days of smiling by them and by us.
The Elixir staff were brilliant and special mention for Melek - Oh happy days. You can't please all the people all of the time but we were pleased for all of our fortnight.
We shall return later this year
