“Wonderful service, ambience and food”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

We just loved eating here during our first visit to Kas - so much so, that we had dinner here 3 nights out of 7 during our holiday!

The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere - it feels very special but relaxed. The owner and staff are really friendly and welcoming - they even made sure they had our favourite meals from the trip on the menu for our last night there.

The food is excellent - very good quality and beautifully presented, but reasonable in price. We didn't drink there but they seemed to have an excellent selection of organic wines. And the turkish delight at the end of the meal was like no other turkish delight we've ever tasted!

The restaurant is one level up and offers great views over the town square, so you can watch the hustle and bustle. Book in advance if you want to secure a table with a view as it does fill up.

A really great place to visit - highly recommended and definitely our favourite restaurant in Kas.

“Great Restaurant with fantastic food, service and views.”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

We visited this restaurant because of great reviews we had read.
We were not disappointed, upon arrival we were given a very warm welcome.
After wine we received little tea cups of lentil soup with delicious bread before our starters arrived.
The menu is small but everything we ordered was delicious.
When I return to Kas, I hope to have my first evening meal in Ratatouille as it was the best meal I ate in my 4 days there.

“Remy's Day Off”
Reviewed 25 May 2014 via mobile

'Do you know what you'd like this evening, sir?' 'Yes, I think I do...you know what I'm craving? A little perspective. That's it. I'd like some fresh, clear, well seasoned perspective'

Mustafa, taking the order of Anton in the famous cartoon which may or may not have been named after this unassuming first floor restaurant in Kas, Turkey. Perspective isn't an issue here. With a pleasant view over the main square and the boats in the harbour a stones throw away, we are led to a table by our silent waiter with hope in our hearts and TripAdvisor endorsement ringing in our sunburnt ears. To start - the ratatouille. It would be a shame not to. And why not? And the chicken Caesar salad - a classic yardstick. Both arrive promptly and are functional. A generous helping of chicken and a simple but well meaning ratatouille. What more can you ask?

Unmoved but satisfied, and with anticipation, we move onto the mains. With the waves (almost) lapping at our very feet, you inhale les fruits de la mer with every breath. It has to be the seafood fish cakes. The chef's own recipe lamb-and-beef burger (with the obligatory potato chips and questionable handful of greens) completes the selection.

Those of you familiar with the film will know the characters of Anton Ego - the restaurant critic who destroyed the reputation of Gusteau's with a single bad review and Remy - the rodent master chef who returns Gusteau's to its former glory. This may be our Anton Ego moment. The seafood fish cakes arrive but are ironically and disappointingly dry. The burger tasty but encased in a chewy and dare-I-say-it stale bun.

The bill arrives and is settled with an acute sense of what could have been. This place may need their own Remy.

“Cooked with love”
Reviewed 16 May 2014

Went back with friends to Ratatouille on 2 evenings as the food was so delicious. The quality food is sourced locally, cooked passionately to perfection, and presented beautifully. This chef and his staff deserves the high rating.

Ate tonight at Ratatouille with friends. We all would highly recommend this restaurant. The quality of the produce, interesting menu, presentation and service were excellent. One of the most interesting meals we have had in Turkey so far this trip.
