“Excellent Facilities, Customer Service & Care for the price”
Reviewed 26 September 2013

I can’t exemplify enough how good the Owner (Deniz) and his staff are at what they do and how they show how much they care about making your holiday special.
Nothing was too much trouble and their knowledge of the area and industry in terms of initial booking and organising of logistics, hotel stay and excursions was exemplary.
Its as if Deniz looked at what he wanted from a holiday in Kas and provided it for his customers.
Its facilities although basic (3*) were clean and of a good standard, which included a small swimming pool by the side of the hotel and top floor terrace restaurant with excellent views of Kas scenery and coast. A short walk from several reaches of the coast and the harbour / village square area, as well as an ideal base for visiting other areas of that part of Turkey.
We will defo be going again and would highly recommend this hotel to anyway staying in Kas.

Room Tip: just ask for your requirements.

We arrived in Kas late in the day with no accomodation pre-booked. Deniz, the owner, was very accomodating, gave us a good price and threw in dinner for us weary travellers too! Our room was clean and pleasant with a good view overlooking the bay. Food was good and Deniz was once again very friendly when recommending things to do during the stay. Thank you

We have mixed feeling about our stay in that hotel.

First, when we arrived, they gave us a room in which the air conditioning was not functioning. One thing you need to know that it is really hot in Kaş in the summer, and you really need air conditioning! When we asked to change rooms, they first told us that no other room was available, and we felt the lady at the reception was a bit annoyed with our request. But, as we were resigning ourselves to find another hotel, they finally proposed a twin room (with the beds pushed together) instead of the double. Alright.

The room are ok, nothing fancy, but clean and convenient. The hotel has a great location, but we figured that choosing a hotel with a private access to the sea might have been a better idea, as almost all beaches are accessible for a fee.

On the upside, there is a very nice terrace on the top floor. The view from there is amazing – both over the town and over the see. Everyday, they offer a complimentary glass of wine at happy hour, and a mezze buffet as well. For 25 TL you get an amazing choice of all-you-can-eat mezze (delicous!), soup, and a main dish consisting of fish or meat (I had the sea bream and it was great!). The breakfast buffet is also very nice. The only thing is that it is permitted smoking on the terrace, and I find it extremely unpleasant eating with cigarette smoke all around (especially in the morning). I know how it looks, but I assure you that I'm not the complaining type!

We were also happy to have the possibility to enjoy the pool after a day in the sun, and the staff is very helpful. They helped us find a good Turkish barber (which is by the way quite a great experience!) and arranged our transportation to the bus station.

In short, a good place, but with a few inconveniences.

What a peaceful and comfortable 3 day stay at the Kayahan. First impressions are of the typical Turkish welcome and hospitality afforded by Feyzan the receptionist who speaks fluent English and makes everything from booking tours and giving information about the hotel so easy. "Be happy" is her mantra and that you will be. The rooms are extremely clean although basic but it's the little touches that make your stay relaxed. The beach area is but a 2 min walk as is the town of Kas and if you are feeling a little lazy you can enjoy the small but adequate swimming pool. An added bonus is the rooftop terrace with it's stunning views over the peninsular looking towards the Greek Island of Meis. You will find it hard to pull your eyes away whilst enjoying a rich open buffet breakfast which includes apart from everything you would expect, freshly baked cake, pastries and poaca. The terrace also provides for relaxation on a kirsk where you can enjoy the breeze, read a book, use the free internet, take in the views or enjoy a drink from the extremely reasonably priced bar menu. Don't forget the free glass of post dinner wine which is offered to everyone each evening. The set menu dinner is so delicious at 25tl you will not want to venture anywhere else, There is always soup and the mezes are the best I have ever tasted but remember to leave room for your main course, which consists of meats, chicken or fish with fresh vegetables followed by fruits and always pastries, you would be hardpressed to eat anywhere else for this price. From the Owner, Deniz, Feyzan and all the staff you will always be treated in a friendly manner and nothing is too much trouble. A peaceful, relaxing home from home feel I look forward to experiencing again in the future.

Room Tip: A side room with balcony can afford a sea view. Although hand soap is provided, you should provide...

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were treated so well we could have been their only guests. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who all spoke English. The air conditioned rooms were perfectly comfortable with a balcony, and little washing lines for towels etc. The breakfasts were very good and set us up for the day exploring the wonderful Lycian coast with all it has to offer holiday makers of all ages. We arrived late on our first evening and decided to eat in and found their set price menu to be excellent and good value for money - so much so that we did not eat anywhere else for the remainder of our stay. Especially as we had the added bonus of the fantastic views across the contestfrom the terrace restaurant. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel as a place to stay in Kas where you will be well looked after. A return trip is already being planned!

Room Tip: You could pay more for a guaranteed sea view, frankly we only use hotel rooms to sleep in.

We stay here every year for a night or two. The hotel is simple, clean and well run. The staff goes above and beyond to make everything run smoothly. Oh yeah, the breakfast buffet on terrace is a wonderful way to start the day.

We stayed two nights on a brief visit whilst staying on a nearby Greek Island and were recommended this hotel as somewhere reasonably priced and comfortable. We found the hotel to be both and more. The room was adequate - would have been nice to have a sea view but we only booked last minute so can't expect that, but we had a side balcony. I would have preferred a room that had not been previously occupied by a smoker but did not think to ask to change, but the room was very clean and comfortable. The food was excellent and very good value. The breakfasts are wonderful with lots of choice on a big buffet. The evening meal was also brilliant and great value. They have a very good chef in this hotel and we would certainly return for his food again. Meals are on a lovely open flat roof area with terrific views over the town and sea. A great location to get everywhere quickly and kind owners who offered advice readily.

Room Tip: Sea view would be good and if you don't smoke, ask if they have no smoking rooms.
