We did our research and after sussing out Kas in April from the terrace of the Dolphin restaurant, we headed down to list topper the Sultans Garden only to find it empty, apart a septuagenarian couple following lonely planet's recommendation. Next Ikbal, closed. And so it continued.
We passed Deniz restaurant on the walk into Kas town centre, it was full of Turks and we thought lets give it a try. What a great choice. Played safe maybe with our choices but they sure delivered.
Ezme served with some fresh flatbread (why on earth upmarket restaurants think we want the kind of bread loaves we eat at home, I don't understand!). Mixed pide next, a Turkish pizza of cheese, mince and chilli. Chicken shish next, served with salad, veg, salad, rice and more bread. By this time we are stuffed! Washed down with Efes of course. Lovely staff too. Really friendly answering our tourist questions about the menu. And the price? 45 TL. Give this place a go. Be adventurous!
