Visited Kaş for the first time on off- season and stayed in Hideaway for the first time.

With its spacious rooms, good breakfast, helpful staff and owners, this place is a true gem.

stayed in no:306; great corner room with Meis view.

Great location also... Will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: 306 is good.

I loved staying here at the Hideaway! From the moment the owner, Ahmet, greeted me in the parking lot, until the last goodbye, everything was perfect! The room had a new bath with great water pressure (albeit a small shower), there was a small balcony to look out at the view, and the view from the dining area on the rooftop was superb! I had the dinner there, and it was reasonable and tasty. Met some nice people and enjoyed the evening. It is located right next to the amphitheater, which was a wonderful walk at sunset. Ahmet, Marie and the entire staff were very helpful, including taking three of us to the bus station. I had the fresh juice in the morning, and although it was $2, it was worth every cent. Delicious! As it was fall when I was here, I did not swim in the pool or snorkel, but it is available. I would not hesitate to recommend the Hideaway, I know I shall stay there again. Thank you Hideaway. I fell in love with Kas! I shall return!!!

Room Tip: See if there is a room with a view. There were views overlooking the amphitheater that I would presu...

We stayed at Hideaway for 6 nights and were sad to leave! The hotel is in a great location overlooking the ocean with a great view from the balcony of the Greek island of Kastelorizo.
Breakfast was fantastic, plenty of homemade jams, meat, cereal, cheese etc. Eggs or pancakes can be made if you require (for an additional small cost).
Ahmet and Marie were wonderful, very helpful with any advice for touring around the area and they booked our trip out to Kastelorizo for us.
The rooms were small but had a well appointed bathroom and small balcony.
You can use the honesty system at the bar if there is no one there and tea and coffee are always available.
Each night they have a very good value Turkish vegetarian meal for 18TLr which was beautiful.
We would definitely stay there again.

We spent 5 nights here in October 2013 and had such a relaxing time. It has a great homely feel to it and the breakfast (which is included) is fabulous. All the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The owners couldn't do enough for you and everything is available either for free or a small rent, e.g. beach towels, snorkelling gear etc. Only wish was that we could have stayed longer, it was a little piece of heaven.

Drove here with friends at start of long trip. It's a bit of an adventure getting a car up and around narrow streets and steep turns to the hotel, so rent a small car if you intend to drive. Room on second floor above entry - no issues, but very very small room and tiny bathroom. Clean and comfortable. Only dealt with Ahmet the husband, no issues there. The terrace is great and we ate our dinner there rather then go out - the cook is very good and she makes home-style recipes, nothing fancy. Breakfast was fine, about what I expected. Great view across to Kastellorizo and I am told you can take a day trip over there (it's Greece). Dinner was great. Close to the amphitheatre, tombs and you can walk down to the water and jump in off some stairs. If you're lucky the old lady who has a garden on the left of the stairs will give you a bunch of free basil!

There are apparently many daytrips, including kayaking over a sunken city, but we had to move on after one night. No problem with sleep quality.

Room Tip: Get a balcony.

We stayed at the Hideaway for 12 nights in early October this year 2013. There was only one problem and that was that we would have liked to stay longer. We really enjoyed our time at the hotel, everybody was so kind, helpful and extremely friendly. Our room was lovely ........very adequate with all that you needed, i.e. en suite, air conditioning and good views from our balcony. The room was cleaned every day, something that not always happen in many Hotels. The situation of the Hotel was just lovely, near enough to the centre of the town and yet out of the noise that might be a problem during the night. Having said this we were in and out of the centre some evenings and did not experience any excess noise. It was only a 4 min walk into the centre, for us it was just perfect calm but we did not feel our of the action so to speak.
The real surprise was the great roof restaurant with the fantastic views and the very friendly staff. Food was good with great variety. Freshly squeezed orange in the morning was a real treat along with lots of freshly prepared fruit. Fresh honey, olives, yoghurt are just a few of the items on the buffet table at breakfast time.

Ahmed and Marie really went out their way to make our holiday and most enjoyable one. Swimming towels and snorkel gear was also on offer which was very helpful.

We have just returned from a eight day stay at the Hideaway Hotel in Kas. We could not find any fault with it at all.
Unlike the previous post, we found both Marie ,Ahmet and all their staff always very friendly and helpful and could not do enough to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
The rooms are fresh and stylish and spotlessly clean. We had a beautiful sea view from ours which was on the top floor.
We enjoyed the rooftop terrace with panoramic views where breakfast and evening meals are served and a great place to sit and watch the sunset.
Breakfast was lovely. A good spread with fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, cheeses cold meats olives as well as the option of cooked eggs.
The location is good being a few mins walk from the resort centre, but also quiet enough not to be disturbed at night.
I guess if you want 5 star 'luxury' you have to pay for it! Howerver, we would always prefer a hotel like this which is family run and homely. All the other guests we spoke to agreed, many of whom return regularly.
We hope to return!!!
