What an amazing place! We stayed with two young children in the Villagio area in a little flat at the top of some stairs. It was ideal - well away from the noisy outdoor stage, which suited us fine. The resort is truly lovely, in between the mountains and the sea, and well laid-out in a beautiful park, with a separate pool for the kids with slides.

As ever, the best things were the quality of the food/drink and the enthusiasm of the GOs/hosts, who were great. The kids' club is second-to-none - really amazing with its own shaded pool and fantastic activities.

We're not really into all the Club Med 'crazy signs' dancing and shows, but really enjoyed chilling out by the bar in the evenings, and there was no compulsion to join in. We didn't have any problems with the French/English mix, and found plenty of GOs who were happy to make the effort to speak English with us at meals. Our kids coped fine in the MiniClub thanks to a couple of unbelievably lovely GOs who looked after them, and the fact there were other English families there at the same time.

Had a lovely time out on the catamarans, and learning archery. Kids loved the circus school. We didn't visit the speciality restaurant, which looked great, because we didn't get organised enough to book it, but we ate like princes at the glorious outdoor restaurant each day.

As other posts mention, the beach is stony, so bring beach-shoes that can cope. The hotel and the area around the outdoor theatre can get lively at night.

The only thing that was odd for me was staying in a new country but not really exploring it. Although they did introduce a bit of local culture with food and music, I was dying to get out into the hills, but didn't because the week passed so quickly. That said, we didn't book any of the trips either, so I guess that is the nature of a resort-based holiday.

Initially I was booked to go to the Belek resort, but 6 weeks prior to departure the destination was changed. Club rep stated Belek resort wasn't ready for guests! I was really upset as Belek was highly recommended by previous guests, especially as English was encouraged to be spoken by the staff. Due to this, Palmiye was extremely busy which had its downside.

Dinner in the restaurant was a nightmare, tables hard to find and overwhelming amount of people at the buffet. Made dinner very stressful, not what I plan for my holidays. Breakfast and lunch time were enjoyable as it was calm and relax. Food was exceptional.

The club rep promised with the change of resort she would ensure that we would have two rooms with interconnecting door. One room having a double bed and the other a twin bed. Well my daughter who is 12 years old and 5'8" had to sleep for the 7 nights on an uncomfortable sofa bed. Not impressed. My youngest daughter, 9 old years had to sleep with me. I specifically stated that I didn't want this to happen to the club med rep.

Staying in the Hotel can be noisy as our neighbours decided to have a screaming match at 11.30pm. Once I worked out how to use the telephone...no telephone directory available to inform you what number to press to reach reception. ...the noise stopped as reception were quick to deal with the matter.

My children don't attend the children's club as previous experience as out them off. French on the main is spoken and little attempt was made to include English speakers.

I highly recommend the trapeze and the associated circus activities. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful always willing to assist and encourage. My children do not attend the children's club, but have to go at the times when the age group of children club attends. Long queues as a result and my children unfortunately could only have one go.

Water sports was fantastic. I enjoyed it especially as David and Valentine were the instructors. I wouldn't have felt confident in pursuing the various sports if they weren't available as the others were not able to instruct effectively.

The Chef de Village Raphy and his team were welcoming.

Room Tip: Just add circus and water sports excellent.

Very good family destination. If your kids only speak English and you want them to take advantage of the kids clubs you may want to go towards the beginning or the end of the French summer holidays. Not a criticism of the resort but just a fact that they may have to assert themselves a little more. On the plus side they may learn some real French! Rooms - simple and in the club med style. Don't expect 'luxury' in the bungalows but don't go to a club med if you want to spend all your time in the room as there is so much to do. As such the downside of this resort is that you won't want to leave to explore the other attractions in this part of Turkey! Sailing school is fabulous as waters are quite calm and good for learning the basics. Waterskiing and archery great too. For those daring, the trapeze looks great fun too and you could be doing a 'catch' within a couple of sessions. Snorkelling isn't as great as there really isn't much to see in the spot the boat takes you too but still worth checking out. Tennis courts were sometimes difficult to get late afternoon when it is cooler but generally empty during the day. Food selection excellent and the themed nights are fun. Get into the club med spirit and find out what the dress code is before you go. Sun beds by the main pool were often reserved as early as 8.30am so our strategy was to send someone down before breakfast to get our spots. It does have quite a busy feel to it and main pool music can be quite loud during the aqua gym session but don't let that put you off.

Stayed with family here for a week. 2 teenage boys and senior citizens mother. Staff and level of service all uniformly excellent. Language barrier of French didn't prove a problem thanks to willingness of fellow guests and staff to help us rub along. Played loads of tennis. Used water sports and thoroughly enjoyed our time th ere.

The hotel is set in a small, beautiful, rocky cove surrounded by sea on one side and mountains on the other. There are trees, manicured lawns and flowers everywhere. The staff are brilliant, so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food is just excellent with an incredible choice (whatever your dietary preferences) at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The tennis courts are good, the pools are enormous and were heated when we there. You don't need to go anywhere but we hired a car for three days and went to see Roman ruins, Antalya and walked in the mountains. I also recommend swimming with the dolphins. I cannot recommend the Club-Med hospitality and fun and this resort in particular enough. We (family of 4 with teenage sons) all had a perfect time. Book it now.

Room Tip: If you face the sea it can be a little noisy at night if you have your patio door open. If this is a...

I went to this resort in May with my partner for a week, i've been on many other Club med holidays and had a high expectation. Like all other Club Med resorts there is a french theme and not many English Speaking staff, however this hardly had much impact on the holiday. We were very luck that when we arrived the weather was perfect, not too hot or cold (27). Fortunately for us the bad weather seemed to have arrived the week previous and been and gone. We stayed in a Club Bungalow, arriving very late at night we had food waiting for us in our rooms and the staff were very welcoming. In the morning we arose to wonderful view of the sea out of one window and out of the other the towering mountains. Although we overslept and missed breakfast there was a light buffet out by the pool and bar. I would definitely recommend staying in a bungalow as it's next to all of the facilities and there's much more going on around the villagio. We immediately got stuck into all the inclusive activities and had a wonderful time on the catamarans, this included joining into a sailing trip to the nearby Club Med resort (Kemer). There were many activities in the pool and entertainment throughout the day and evening. Although there was a language barrier the staff made a full effort to socialise with us and we made a large amount of new friends on this trip. The only two English speaking GO's made great effort to get all the English people together to have a party so that we could all find each other, which was wonderful. The only thing that would let this resort down would be the food, this is because in comparison to other club med resorts it wasn't as good. The food was very well presented and looked aesthetically pleasing, however some things were very tasteless and odd textures. Overall though the food was satisfying. My partner however was not happy about the lack of bacon, this being because Turkey is a mainly Islamic country. One thing i must add is that any adults/couples MUST abuse the opportunity to relax in the Zen pool, it's bliss! I would definitely recommend the resort to friends and family and i myself would like to visit again.

Room Tip: Club bungalows in the Villagio are better than the hotel.

Went to the resort for two weeks in summer. The rooms were extremely small, but the complex was huge and had fantastic activities for both adults and kids. Didn't trust some of the supervisors they looked the type to do something wrong with the kids so just keep a continuous watch on them. The food was superb and fresh no complaints there at all. The management has it's nose up in the air and think they are better than the locals that's the sad part the way the french staff treats the local Turkish staff. How do they permit it is what I don't understand. They were indifferent when I said the room wasn't cleaned and the manager shrugged his shoulders and said the cleaners didn't know what clean or dirty was.
