“Not bad!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 October 2013

Just returned after a week at Pegasos world. Good points: Staff are fab they work hard and around the clock. The hotel is huge!!! Lovely beach, lots of activities eg parasailing, jet skis, banana boat etc. food wasn't too bad, buses run every 10 minutes into Side, recommend a trip to the market. Also recommend going to Marko Pasa a cafe/bistro off the bridge and by the river. And the Red Lion for a more British atmosphere. There is loads of stuff to do for kids,
Bad points: The pool was unbearably cold! We didn't spend any more than 5 minutes in there the whole week the sea was much warmer! The rooms are very basic for a 4* hotel. Only managed to get to eat at the Turkish a la carte as 2 were closed through the week and it was so busy it was a challenge to get a reservation. And to be honest it wasn't worth the hassle, we waited 45 minutes for our plates to be cleared and a further 15 minutes for dessert.
we are a young couple and stayed in block 2. Also the beer is watered down quite a bit.
Tip: the walls are paper thin you can hear pretty much everything from the next room. Girls if you have medium/long hair I advise you take your own hair dryer as the ones in the rooms burn out every minute and have to wait for it to cool down!
Seems like a lot of bad points but we did have a fab time thanks to staff.

Can honestly say before we left reading a few reviews left me a little nervous. There was no need to be the hotel is amazing huge complex with a massive pool, the staff work tirelesley around the clock to make sure that you are comfortable and looked after. As for the negatives about the eastern europeans we had no problems with rudeness in fact some were quite friendly. The entertainment is also must see for children and adults my 5 year old loved captain popcorn and the shows for the grown ups were well planned and well performed all in all this is a brilliant complex with amazing facilities and wonderful staff would definatley reccomend this hotel and stay there again

We booked as a last minute getaway and the prices were very reasonable. We were slightly dubious due to reading other reviews, but I have to say the hotel exceeded my expectations by a mile! The food was lovely, and there were so many areas to eat, through lunch and tea. We ate at 3 of the A La Carte restaurants, Chinese, Italian and Turkish, and the food in each were lovely. The best one we all thought was the Chinese, the food and service were amazing!! I'd highly recommend...
Throughout our stay we could not fault the service from waiters to the receptionist's, and the cleaners to the managers we met.
Entertainment was very proffessional and the shows were very well put together.
Rooms were cleaned every day apart from Monday's, to a very high standard!
Location was brilliant. We paid 10 EURO a taxi to Side and Manavgat, both I would visit again. Lovely towns and not hassled too much...
All in all I would highly recommend this hotel, and book it with confidence in the future. Will be returning in the near future.... I'd say don't listen to bad reviews- Go and make your own decision!

I travelled here in term time in June 2013 for 1 week. There were 5 of us aged of 50, 40, 23, 22 and 5. I've been to the Suntopia hotels before, my favourite being in Sarigerme! I've also been to Turkey about 7 times now so know exactly what to expect! The hotel is absolutely immaculate, ultra modern, countless facilities, beautiful areas to relax and have a coffee, well manicured gardens, spa and even a place to get your hair and nails done! Or a cheeky tattoo!! Although, I found this hotel TOO BIG! It felt impersonal! No one knew who we were. On arrival the 2 rooms we booked were about a 10 minute walk from each other, which was unpractical! I complained twice on the night of arrival but was told there was nothing that could be done. I emailed the hotel twice prior to my arrival explaining how important this was too. That was a huge disappointment on the holiday to start with. The food was lovely and always plenty to choose from and hot, the bars were all nice and drinks of good quality. The pools are amazing but the sunbed areas around them are over crowded and is always an issue getting a sunbed. We went to the beach everyday and it was beautiful. Much more sunbeds and less busy. There's a bar there too, so you don't have to keep walking back to the hotel. Rooms are modern and would recommend booking the rooms with a balcony as they don't come with one unless you pay the supplement to upgrade. Side is about 10 minutes away and we used the bus service that is directly outside the hotel as the taxi's were overpriced! I have got to say, this was probably the 'loneliest' holiday we have had! If you're British you are given a blue wristband and there are other colours for other nationalities. On this holiday we did not meet another British family! We are really sociable people and like to get chatting to people on holiday, make friends, let the kids play together etc but there was literally no one to talk to but ourselves! The last criticism I have, is the a la carte restaurants, on arrival in the middle of the night we decided to wait until the morning to make our reservations, well that was impossible! Technically, on our first day all the 3 restaurants were fully booked!! So our whole holiday we spent dining in the buffet restaurant, this really upset me because we went out of school holiday times in June and paid over £650 each! We went for a 50th Birthday, and the hotel did nothing for us to help us celebrate. I have to mention the mosquito bites! The hotel at one point gave us industrial strength mosquito spray for the room and furnishings as we were bitten all over. If you are a large family and happy to stick within your group, love the beach and happy with buffet restaurant dining then this would be perfect to be fair.. it just wasn't for us! Maybe I'm over critical as I work in the travel industry!

Room Tip: Book a room with a balcony, in the Thomson/First Choice brochures, the price advertised is based on...

Just returned from Pegasos World, from lovely sunshine to wind and rain! This was meant to be a 'cheap and cheerful' last minute break in the sun, but turned out to be a bit of luxury. The choice and quality of food is the best we've had in an all inclusive - amazing choice of salads, main dishes, and desserts. As well as the themed menu, there are always 2 carved joints of meat (the most memorable was the huge side of beef, cooked tender and rare), sometimes whole salmon, and always food cooked on the BBQ in the outside seating area - including sea bass and bream, kebabs, chicken. The staff worked tirelessly at clearing tables, and the dining areas were spotless. The pool was fantastic, but water cool at this time of year. We preferred the beach, the sea was warmer. Plenty of loungers for everyone. The guests were predominantly eastern European, but we didn't have a problem with any of them, we saw no pushing in or rudeness, everyone was very friendly. Entertainment was very good, but it was outside at 9.30 and it had dropped cooler by then. Overall this was a lovely hotel, spotlessly clean, friendly, helpful staff. Interesting places to visit - Antalya, Manavgat. Definitely recommend, and would love to return.

Myself, Partner and two and half year old daughter just got back from this resort yesterday. We have stayed in several all inclusive in the past in Turkey and Egypt and know what to expect.
But I had to write a review about this one since I don't think some of the reviews I read were that justified. Some of them also scared the life out of me to which one point I wanted to change holiday. Especially reading the one about the stray dog roaming around who bit a child.
Funnily enough as soon as we arrived at the hotel whilst looking for our room we did come across one of these stray dogs who was being escorted out of the hotel by two members of staff. I was reassured that this side of things was being taken care of which is important having a small child.
First of all, the hotel is really big but is easy to navigate around especially since they have maps everywhere to remind you where you are!
We thought the food was amazing but it does depend on what kind of food you like but there is so much choice you would never starve here.
The restaurant staff, especially Tariq made us feel very welcome and special. He was a real gem and looked after us well which was important as the scale of the place can make it feel impersonal otherwise. Try and sit outside by the pool side in the restaurant which is his section.
As for the beer, it is not watered down just a lighter beer than Efes but we found it more refreshing because it wasn't so strong and was fine for the heat.
Took our daughter to one of the kids club activities which included a group of them (mix of various nationalities) walking to the beach to collect stones and paint them like turtles. You can leave your children if they are much older then ours but if not you are encouraged to stay with them. We wished we took her earlier in the week as she loved it and I'm sure the Captain popcorn activities would have been as good as everyone had said on the reviews. The ladies in the club are lovely and very professional and your kids would be well cared for which would be a nice break for tired parents.
As for the sun loungers, going in peak season means it will be difficult to find the right spot but we had no trouble on the beach and kids areas as long as you claim a spot early especially in the most popular such as the pirate ship.
We loved this hotel and even discussed coming back whilst there which is a good sign. We got left a lone to relax which in other resorts wasn't the case when it came to being harassed by club reps to do activities or by photographers. But if we were to go back we have a whole list of things that we would do which we couldn't as we had to work around our lil one!
The staff there are really lovely but some don't speak english and may seem a bit offish but that is only because of the language barrier.
All in all, this hotel was fabulous. The weather at this time of year is still great and I highly recommend coming here as a brit or otherwise. My only gripe is that they they didn't play their theme tune enough 'Living the good life, finally I found my paradise!.'

Room Tip: We got limited Sea room which was limited as we didn't get a sea view. Got a balcony which was u...

I travelled with my partner and 2 year old we paid a bit more for this holiday as normally go 3 star .. What a difference those few hundred pounds made the place was wonderful . There is loads of different pool areas , slides , beach restaurants , ice cream men dotted at different areas (cone with choice if 3 favours included in all inclusive ) the restaurant was great with loads of choice and a middle section if freshly cooked in front of u meat and kebabs considering there is over 900 rooms the restaurant is kept so clean for the amount if people there always seems to be plenty if staff brushing up and cleaning . In the complex was also shops I found these to be reasonable compared to town and better quality . Side town was about 25 Lira ( about £8) it was beautiful entering as loads if roman ruins we only went once as really everything u need is at the resort . Nighttime entertainment was great the kids disco was brilliant all themed round captain popcorn my daughter loved this along with all his song ( check out on u tube the songs are great ) then good shows . Plenty of choice if u didn't want the shows there was middle bar sometime with bands on or the quiet bar inside all swanky with air con and settees ... Best holiday ever would go back again great for kids and adults
