We - 4 adults / 2 couples (one in a wheelchair) went to the Flora Garden in early September 2011, and generally found the hotel to be good.

Although it is not set up as Disabled friendly, it is possible to get around the hotel pushing a wheelchair, there are ramps in most places for the luggage and we used those, the only problem place was from reception to the main bar and restaurant where there are 3 steps that we had to carry the chair down - but it was possible.

The hotel itself was spotless, and always had staff cleaning, the pools (particularly the newer small one) were clean and always had sun-beds available even at mid-day as did the beach, and although we didn't use the beach, it seemed clean, the sea was warmer than the pools and was great.

Food - The restaurant was Ok (although on a few occasions they ran out of the main dish 1hr into service, we then complained to Oxana and they compensated us with a free trip to the Sushi restaurant / Tepanaki restaurant, normally £25 each) other than that, it is Turkey, don't complain that there are not chips every day, but plenty of food to eat.
The A La Carte restaurants were really good and well worth the try and I must give a huge recommendation for the Beach / Snack bar at lunch time especially the Pizzas.

Drinks - were good, Becks Bier on tap, all local spirits EXCEPT Rum and Baccardi, they don't produce local versions.

Rooms - again good, the cleaners worked very hard, if you are looking for disabled friendly rooms then the best options are 1001 - 1007 as they have ramps, these are garden rooms, otherwise the sea/pool facing ones looked great.

Staff - could not complain, (except in the restaurant where sometimes they have their favourites to serve their drinks to, we had to wait 35 minutes one day, there is no option to get your own, and maybe this is a possibility the hotel can look at). Oxana (customer relations) Emma (Thompsons rep) and Dave (Thompsons animation) worked very hard to sort out any problems and there was no pressure to take part in anything. Although the cocktail making, golf, and bowls were fun, this was down to the people taking part. Evening entertainment was low key, and some of the singing from the guitarist left a lot to be desired, but generally a good time.
It was my first time in the Turkish Bath / Massage and they were very good, also the Scuba was a good day out

Yes there was a dual carriageway behind the hotel, but we only stayed in the room to sleep and managed that every night without any problems

Yes it is away from everything, but thats what we wanted, and you can always get a taxi / Dolmush to Alanya, Side, Antalya or Manavgat

Would we go there again, possibly, but there are lots of 4/5* hotels in the area

Room Tip: Go for the sea view rooms

Decided to have a week fly and flop and although the weather did not allow this we had a great time.We found the staff charming despite the language barrier. we would concur with all the good review here. The pasta is splendid as is tapinyaki, the fish and steak not quite. The main restauarnt is often overcrowded and some of the food is germanic but the selection is huge and even picky eaters (Like the Mrs) can find something, try get a table on the terrace with a sea view for dinner. Bottomless free drinks, good beer and wine, irish cream very popular and the house cocktails fruity and moreish.Entertainment was OK ,it is always nice to sit outside on a warm evening and be amused even if the performers enthusiasm exceeds their ability.Room with sea view was super, clean, fresh sheets and towels and the creative towel display was charming.Good A/C.We paid for one trip and for the Tapinyaki but quite honestly one could go and not spend a penny.

Room Tip: The sea view cabanas will be preferable, get to the restauarnt in time for a sea view and try the pasta(Aviod Aribiata if unsure about chilli) and crepes and yoghurt for breakfast

Steps everywhere to access reception, bar and restaurant – problem if steps are difficult. When we were there some staff rude. Dirty crockery and tablecloths. Hotel alongside main dual carriageway noisy, isolated and far from other habitation. Toilet serving main pool in a grotto-like building, permanently wet and water dripping through ceiling. Planking around pool unsafe due to loose boards and nails sticking up. Mattresses for loungers mildewy. Hotel can cater for approx 400 visitors but only seating in the inside bar for about 60. Our very worst holiday in Turkey.

Room Tip: Make sure you book an upgrade to get a view and some sun and away from traffic noise.

We stayed at the flora gardens the last week of september 2011.On arrival we got a warm welcome our bags were taken to our room which was a sea view the room was spot on lovely and modern and very clean with a great view, Here comes the but food was average many people were commenting that it was salty some nights selection was better than others one night all the selection contained fish one way or the other even in the pasta apparently they did have a meat dish but that had all gone even the soup was fish not good if you dont like fish, breakfast was average ommlette was very good but there was always a queue service started off good but by the end of the holiday you were waiting for tea and coffee some mornings up to 15mins. The beach snack bar was far better pizza were excellant the bar staff in general were poor we did hear it was the first year thompsons had run it so that might explain the lack of english but sometimes one barman in paticular was very moody and on a couple of occasions downright rude ,The beach was lovely plenty of sunbeds and parosols sea easy to walk into and warm, much warmer than the swimming pools which were freezing.Emma and Dave the reps were excellant nothing was to much trouble for them and they were always so nice and pleasant .WARNING dont use the shop if you have lira they make up there own prices and whatever you do DONT buy a newspaper they stick a label over the lira price with the price in euros so it doubles catch the free bus to lyra park. Overall experence very good just need a few tweeks here and there and sort out some of the staff we would consider going back

Room Tip: ask for sea view
