The hotel provıded wıth actıvıtıes for chıldren such as darts, footballgame, nıntendowıı and other actıvıtıes.
The breakfastbuffet was mabe abıt sımple, but very tasty.
The hotel reseptıon can provıde you wıth whatever you want. If you want to rent a car, they provıde one for you. If you want to take turkısh bath(Hamam),they make apoıntment for you, and you wıll be pıcked up at the hotel and brought back afterwords. The bus to the beach have a pıckup at the hotel ın the mornıng and back to the hotel ın the afternoon, free of charge.

My wife and I took the mother and father in law here for a week, this was their first holiday abroad so we were all a bit apprehensive.
When we arrived and seen the accommodation, we were all delighted. This was a good start to the holiday.
The staff were extremely helpful, helping us book our excursions and even getting prices reduced for us which was a great bonus.
Isa, the hotel manager went that extra bit further to help but all the staff were brilliant. The owners, Marina and Ramsay were also welcoming and helpful.
We ate at the hotel several times and always found the food to be of a high standard and the rooms were cleaned daily. We even had petals and towel swans on our bed on one occasion. :)
We had a brilliant time here and will return next year with our daughters and grand daughter.
Thank you Ozgurhan for making our holiday that wee bit more special. Lee, Yvonne, Helen and Hector

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised when we stayed at this hotel. The food is excellent as the owners Maria and Ramsey buy fresh and good quality food. Our room was spotlessly clean as is the pool. The Manager Isa is so polite and nothing is too much trouble for him. The bar staff Osman and Mehmet are very obliging and the service is good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone as it is a lovely relaxing atmosphere and central to the beach. I would visit this hotel again

Stayed at Ozgurhan 13th to 21st Sept 2012. The object was a cheap week relaxing in the sun away from the English weather.
Our board basis was All Inclusive and when you take away the cost of flights and transfers this came to £83 per person per week. Bearing this in mind we were not expecting a lot but were very pleasantly surprised.
The hotel is a little outside of Side (about 20 mins walk to harbour or short taxi/bus ride) but this does mean it is quieter for sleeping. However there are a large number of bars, cafes and shops within 5 mins or so walk.
The room was typical of 3 star Turkish hotel but if anything slightly bigger than some we have stayed in with a quite big balcony with table and chairs and a rack for drying towels etc. The hotel gardens are pleasant and well kept. The pool is a reasonable size with a small infants pool attached.
Having read some other reviews lets set out what you are getting for your £83 per week.
Breakfast, lunch and evening meal are buffet style and since the hotel has only got 37 rooms there obviously cant be a big selection of cooked dishes. We had decided that if the food was not up to scratch we would eat out but as things turned out we only had lunch out twice (and that was because we were having a look around Side and were away from the hotel. The chef at the Ozgurhan is very good and always produced well presented and tasty meals. All inclusive drinks consist of tea , coffee, soft drinks, beer, wine , vodka and raki between 10am and 10pm. Yes drinks have to be paid for outside of these times but I'll say it again - £83 per week ! Also included is air conditioning in your room which has to be paid for in a lot of other hotels.
The hotel also runs a free bus a couple of times a day down to its own stretch of beach. The sand is fine and the water is shallow for quite a way out. There is a cafe on the beach and toilets. Drinks etc have to be paid for but it is waiter service and prices are reasonable.
What really made the week for us was the friendliness of all the staff and of the other guests. This was typified by the Turkish Night (free) at which we were entertained by a belly dancer and ended up with all the guests of all nationalities and the staff having a laugh and a dance together. It happened to be my birthday while we were there and after dinner we were given a fruit basket, cocktails and flowers for my wife. We found all the staff (irrespective of how much English they spoke) to be very pleasant and helpful at all times. Ahmed the contract manager was speaks very good English and was especially helpful.
Marina the owners wife has got improvements planned for the Ozgurhan having only taken over in the last 12 months.
Would we go back ? Yes definately in fact we are looking to book another week there early 2013.
Side itself is lovely. The ruins , epecialy the amphitheatre are impressive. There is an open market on Saturdays by the mosque with the twin minarets.

First of all, it's important to note that the majority of the reviews for the Ozgurhan hotel are from a year ago; since then the hotel has changed in ownership and as such, the information given dated 2011 is very inaccurate.

All inclusive - Its a joke, we are not fussy eaters, we are happy backpacking and living off whatever food is going. Food is served three times a day for approximately an hour (7-9am, 1-2pm, 7-8pm). The food consists of plain pasta, plain couscous and rice, accompanied by some form of reheated chicken (it was gray by day 3) in some form of varying sauce. If you have young children or are yourself a fussy eater, this can become a serious issue for any length of stay. We had beetles on the bread, ants through the food (where serving) and once, a cat, up on the counter happily lapping away at the main meal of the night. On more than one occasion we both found various hairs in the meal, but eventually just kind of expected it and had to get on with the meal.
Drinks finish at 10pm and not a minute afterwards. We went to the bar at 9:55pm straight after another couple had been served, only to be told that all drinks where finished and that by his watch it was 10pm. We asked to see the manager as the drinks had been unavailable for 30mins during the day and therefore having one drink should be okay. We were called beggars by the hotel owner, who eventually gave us our drink. The vodka (if available), was either that poor a quality it physically burned your throat and stomach, or was so watered down, it was basically water. Also, alcoholic drinks available during the all inclusive are beer, vodka and that about covers it, everything else comes under the immortal Turkish phrase "It's extra".

Entertainment - If your holiday rep or booking company tell you that entertainment is provided (which ours sweared there was), either hang up or tell them to try again. There is no entertainment, in our hotel or in any other in a 10 mile radius. There are one or two bars that have karaoke, but considering most people go to all inclusive hotels to not spend money, this again becomes a bit of a problem.

Local Area - Well, it is sunny, there are some Roman ruins and the sea is absolutely beautiful. I'm a history teacher, so the ruins where an initial pull for me. However, with the weather as it is, its too hot to spend any real time looking around; and for what is on offer once you have navigated through the streets being asked to go into every restaurant and shop by the staff who work there. You can probably see and do everything Side has to offer in about 3 days tops. The market is good, but its not particularly cheap. Also, it seems that Side is more of a German holiday resort. So if you don't have a bit of pigeon German language down, life can become a bit more stressful.

Final review - We decided that Ozgurhan must be Turkish for 'Fat Camp', we ate nothing that wasn't bland and tasteless. Despite all of this, we where prepared to just say that we had gotten a raw deal and were determined to make the most of the holiday. We came to a breaking point when we where left with nothing to do, a bar staff that were happy to smoke over you at the bar, drink all the alcohol themselves, and in general make any time spent in the seated area/bar/'restaurant', generally unpleasant, and as there was nothing else to do in Side, we spent a lot of time there.

Please please please don't just pass off what i've said as a 'one off', there is no hope for this Hotel and you'll be saving yourself time and money by going somewhere else.
