I have just returned from a lovely holiday in Side. The Selenium is a 3 star hotel so didn't
expect too much. However, the room I shared with my friend was perfectly adequate for our
needs. Comfortable beds and a good ensuite bathroom. All linen and towels were changed and the room cleaned every day. The hotel staff were friendly and keen to provide a good service.
Some spoke a little English, but mainly German. The food was delicious - plenty for everyone
and you were left to serve yourself without restrictions. The only small issue we had was that
the management provided all written information in German, no attempt to provide an English
translation. We were the only English guests, all others being German. This was not a problem to us as fellow guests were happy to communicate with us, if only in sign language!! We speak some Turkish so have made a note to learn German before we go next time!
The hotel was approximatley 20 minutes walk from the nearest beach, and a lovely long
promenade lined with Restaurants, Dance Bars, Shops etc. Antique Side is further along
but really worth a visit- absolutely beautiful.More
