“Cheap but worth it, lovely family run hotel”
Reviewed 12 September 2011

Just returned from Beyaz Saray and my partner and I had a wonderful time. Hotel is only 2 star therefore, didn't expext 5 star treatment. Communual areas were spotless, however, rooms could have done with being cleaned a bit more often, but no major complaints.

Great little family run hotel, they didn't speak much english, however, could always communicate with them and get what you needed as some spoke better english than others. The whole family were lovely and we felt very welcome.

Great home cooked food on Lunch and evening menu's.

Free transfer to the beach so no need to walk, slight treck to the old town but plenty of dolmus/buses if you don't want to walk.

Overall great time and value for money.

Room Tip: Request room with a balcony

my family of nine stayed at the beyaz saray, last minute. bar had no drinks, no ice sometimes served by staffs children. rooms very basic, balcony never cleaned, green moldy floor off air conditioning unit leaking, sisters room flooded off air con unit, safety boxes could be carried out of rooms, tiles around pool were rough, plug sockets were unsafe , shower leaked, hairdriers tripped the electricity, staff spoke very little english and most staying in hotel were european. be prepared for a walking holiday, no were near a three star, more a one star, ok if your used to camping, couldnt wait to get home.

Room Tip: some rooms dont even have a balcony, ask for pool view [good luck]

I stayed here with my wife I would not recommend Side to young groups of friends. The resort is great for couples and families. We didn't pay much for this hotel which reflected on the room, however it was clean and ok to stay in.The pool side was a total sun trap and always clean and tidy, There were only a few couples staying in the hotel when we arrived the staff did not make much effort with us.As we left the hotel was filling up the hotel is about a 25 minute walk from Side centre, however there are some little restaurants near by which are well worth the visit . I think that this hotel is family run, I believe that they would recieve more positive reviews if they made more effort with the customers...it sometimes felt asthough we were putting them out ,But it's a good basis to explore from The owner was very nice to speak to when he was about , The only English speaking member of staff , Side is well worth the visit down to the ruins and a bit further up the road is the harbour which is full of shops and bars and lovely eating places , BUT BEWARE Miami Water-sports Para sailing we were ripped off we thought we had bought a disc containing a video and photos of us para sailing but when we got home guess what no video on it at least we had the photos in true Turkish style full of eastern promise John & Mandy Ray

Tucked away in a small side road the hotel location is quiet and peaceful.
The pool area is a sun trap and is always very clean. We went at the height of the season
and never had a problem finding a sun bed by the pool.
Overall great value for money.

Room Tip: Rooms are basic but they are very clean with comfortable beds.

I stayed here with one of my friends, both 25. I would not recommend Side to young groups of friedns. The resort is great for couples and families. We didn't pay much for this hotel which reflected on the room, however it was clean and ok to stay in. There were only 2 other people staying in the hotel, the staff did not make much effort with us. We ordered lunch at the bar one day and it took over 1 hour to arrive....there were no other people inthe hotel. One day whilst swimming one of the staff decided to move all of our stuff around the sunbed and even threw our towels in a big puddle. i think she was trying to celan, but i think as customer she should have respected our belongings. the hotel is about a 25 minute walk from Side centre, however there are some little restaurants near by. I think that this hotel is family run, I believe that they would recieve more positive reviews if they made more effort with the customers...it sometimes felt asthough we were staying in a morgue

It was a bad start when the bus driver didn't know where the hotel was and we soon learnt that no one seemed to know it. The hotel was being run down for the end of season although only the 2nd week in Sept!! One night we came out of our room and all the common areas were unlit in a bid to save money as we had been told that electric was very dear. Our very basic room was cleaned well from Tues to Fri of our stay but left uncleaned until our departure on the Tuesday Although we tried our best to be friendly the Turkish owners were not very hospitable and made no attempt to speak to us. The bar was very poorly stocked even running out of soft drinks

Stayed there recently with my wife and teenage son. We had a problem when we arrived at midnight on the first night as the hotel had been double booked! The manager explained that this was because of a lack of communication with our travel agent )as it was a late booking). He had arranged a stay at another hotel and took us there and collected us the next morning. He agreed to give us a free safety deposit locker as compensation. The stay at the hotel was as I had hoped. It is family run and the manager's father was really friendly (even repairing our suitcase). It was in a quiet location (but not too far from the many restaurants) and was very relaxed. There were a few events in the evening such as a very enjoyable Turkish belly dance buffet and a Turkish music night but it was usually all quiet by 1.00am and we were never disturbed by any late night revellers arriving back during the early hours of the morning. In the first week we did have a problem with dogs barking at a noisy cockerel every night and there was also an early call to prayer from the nearby mosque. That said, we did have the balcony doors open as we did not have airconditioning at first (I thought the air conditioning would disturb my sleep). We had airconditioning the second week and with the doors closed we heard no noise at all (and I think the cockerel mysteriously disappeared!!). The rooms were clean and linen and towels were changed everyday.Breakfast was included which consisted of everything from boiled eggs to salad, which set us up for the day. There is a set price buffet every evening which was also fine. Apart from a few other europeans (mainly Nordic) staying the hotel was mainly occupied by Turkish families and we found it a very enjoyable and relaxing environment. In summary if you want a quiet family hotel and are not after hectic nightlife then I would recommend this hotel
