The hotel is good, but I feel useful to moderate some of the enthusiasm read in other surveys
1/ We stayed there in May 2013. The hotel is good , but here some detailed info
2/ Nice surroundings, green, nice, the hotel has several blocks, and (more expensive) villas
3/ Guests coming from all Europe, mainly Russians, Ukrainians , Poles, French, Belgians, Dutch,Germans, Mainly families with small children (age 0 to 1, and 1 to 7), probably the highest ratiosmall kids/adults I have ever seen.
It looks like all over Europe, and more than in the past,
the hotel is famous for the special care, equipment, facilities related to kids, and this is also nice for the parents who feel at home and considerably assisted. For the hotel, this means a very high rate of occupancy.
4/ this means that all over the hotel, and especially at the restaurant, you are in a big "kindergarten" , very noisy and turbulent, where the kid is king.
5/ The rooms are generally good, but even in a same category, there are differences, especially for the noise.(also, better to be far enough from a very noisy peacock) Also, part of the beds are hard, you can feel the metal.
A pity in a generally modern hotel.
6/ The main restaurant is average, and it is difficult (like at many other all ins) to get relatively hot food. But there is a lot to eat and drink, at about all moments of the day. Special mention for the good ice cream in the evening. There is no attendant making hot pasta in front of you (warming the pasta) and for the eggs in the morning, they are available, but not cooked on your
Lack of service so often you set up / try to clean the table yourself , looks like there are less servers.. Wine is ok.
For the adults with no kids, the restaurant is not a good experience, due to the big number
of kids excited and noisy, running all over the place.
7/ the 2 a la carte restaurants ( 5 dollars per person) are not too good, especially the Turkish restaurant
8/ The persons at the reception try to do all they can for helping you.
9/ the ladies of the "smiley service" also help everyone, and have a long days of
hard work. The personnel in general is especially kind
10/ The service in the rooms (cleaning) is done extremely quick, and is not too "intense"
11/ the free wifi everywhere including in the rooms is of good quality, excepted that it is not working during about 20% of the time
12/ Several good and clean swimming pools. Special mention for the very nice/good adults swimming pool, a real oasis in the turbulent kids hotel.
13/ some good evening shows at the amphiteater
14/ entertainment of all kinds during most of the day
15/ the beach is average. The sea is not too good as you are walking everywhere on moving roundstones. Easy access by shuttle or walking. Active restaurant there, also at the
main swimming pool
16/ visiting Side (remarkable antique Rome monuments, and nice tourist city), and Manavgat ("real" nice Turkish town) is good and easy by cheap and frequent one euro busses. Also about 20 shops in very close range
(5 minutes) from the hotel
17/ In summary, a good hotel full of activity, and it has a lot of success.
Excellent/a must for families with children, aged zero to 8,but I would probably not recommend it for people with no children. Have a good vacation.
