“Not a 5 star Hotel”
Reviewed 25 August 2013

We have just returned from this hotel. It was a lovely hotel but in need of updating which is planned for this year but considering its 16 years old has been well looked after. The staff were hit and miss some waiters were very attentive our frustrations were having to wait at breakfast for your tea and coffee which usually came after you had eaten not really what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The food however was lovely plenty to choose from and a good selection for children. The pools were clean and safe the middle pool a good depth for young children. The hotel was well catered for wheelchairs flat with good ramp accessibility around the pools and onto the beach. The rooms were basic and like many others when we arrived we were told that our room we had booked would be ready in 2 days leaving us in a room with know balcony and 2 children. Not a great way to start as it was frustrating not being able to unpack. However I cannot complain as the room we were given when we moved was beautiful and very much 5 star. It had the best view of the beach and pools plenty of room for 4 of us which made the move worth it. If you want luxury make sure you ask for rooms in R2 these seem to be much better. The animation team were lovely and did not push you to join in. The shows were great and very much family orientated. Now onto the bug alot of people had issues and nearly every day you heard someone say they had had it or had been in hospital. To be honest I don't think it was the food all the staff had gloves on and were quick to tidy up. I think it was unfortunate for the hotel that perhaps it was brought in and passed on. Thank fully we were not ill but having learnt about it I perhaps did not enjoy my stay as much as it was always at the back of your mind. We were therefore careful at meal times and just used our toilet in our hotel room. It was not as bad as it was made out to be. You have to remember it was hitting 48 degrees that mixed with over indulging and alcohol is not going to make you feel great. Yes there was a phew mishaps in the pools but I agree with others why swim if you are unwell!!! but at least they shut the pool down and cleaned it and did not re open it until the following day. I must also point out that the outside area was scrubbed every evening. Be careful though as the area around the pools can be very slippery when wet. Sun beds! I said I would not do it but you learn quickly here if you can't beat them join them and yes I was up at 6am just to ensure I could see the kids in the pool. I believe they are planning to change this next year but don't panic there are plenty if beds on the beach. Take swim shoes the sand is very hot and there are rocks in the sea which can cut your feet further out I was glad I packed mine. On the whole we had a good holiday would I return? I don't think so it's just missing the little extras for me having stayed at a 5 star in Greece and having had a more personal service with waiters looking after you at the pool and beach it doesn't quite compare. But if your looking for a good family holiday with nice pools and a good beach I would recommend. It's not for those expecting a true 5 star experience if you come with high expectations I think you would be a little disappointed. I will however return to Turkey it's a beautiful country with so much to see and do.

We stayed here with our seventeen year old daughter for 10 nights at the end of July. The service from all staff was first class and everyone went out of their way to make our holiday a truly relaxing time. The welcome we received upon our arrival was efficient yet so friendly and we knew immediately that we had chosen the right hotel for our holiday. We are quite fussy ( to say the least) about hotel standards, but we were continually impressed throughout our stay with the exceptionally high standards. We certainly think that other hotels throughout the world could learn a lot from Sentido Perissia. The food served in all restaurants was delicious and extremely varied. We preferred to eat our evening meal sitting outside at the main restaurant and the young waiter who looked after us most evenings was brilliant. He worked incredibly hard and was obviously well trained. It was of no surprise to find the same people returning to his tables night after night. The pools were busy, but we expected this as it was peak season, the beach however is our preference anyway and the private beach at this hotel is wonderful. The cheerful attendant was there as soon as we arrived each day. He sorted out our sunbeds, he put up the umbrella, he continually kept that beach spotless. We were even brought fresh fruit and iced water to our sunbeds. What more could you want? The water sports on offer were varied and so well organised, parasailing, jet skis, pedaloes, turtle watching. It is all here, you wont be disappointed. It was also noticeable how much room the guests had to enjoy on this beach. As we walked along the promenade to Side we observed the tightly packed sunbeds on beaches at other hotels and felt so lucky to have a beach which must be the envy of all. The hotel is kept spotless and we continually commented on how the staff seemed to be cleaning and polishing all day. My husband is pretty OCD about cleanliness and tidyness yet even he was impressed with the standards met at this hotel. The entertainment staff went out of their way to makesure everyone had an enjoyable time. We are not ones for organised entertainment but this team seem to get the balance just right. If you want to join in you will be welcomed but if you dont that's fine as well. We were very grateful to the young girls on the entertainment team who invited our daughter to dance most evenings, which was great as she was holidaying with boring mum and dad. Our daughter by the way thought that this holiday was the best holiday we have ever had . High praise indeed, I can assure you.
On returning home my husband and I ( not our daughter) experienced an upset stomach. We immediately put this down to the meal we had eaten on the flight home, because my daughter hadn't eaten it and it was pretty grim. I can assure you that at no time did we think that we had picked this up at the hotel. Having got around to writing our review we are very sad to read that Sentido have experienced such bad luck. Having been ill ourselves, we still can't believe that this was caused because of fault on the hotel's part. Perhaps someone has brought some sort of virus into the environment which has spread. We think that this is really sad for people who had their holiday ruined but is also sad for a lovely hotel and woderful staff. Let's hope this is put behind everyone quiclkly and that Sentido Perissia can get back to doing what they do best....providing a first class holiday.

Room Tip: We had 1169 and 1168 which overlooked the pool and beach and were very nice. When you book the hot...

On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly reception area, this is our first time at this hotel and to turkey and i was unsure of what to expect. But so far so good, we were taken to our room which was a good sized family room for 2 adults and 2 children. The Air Con was a little noisy but kept the room nice and cool and after a day we got used to it. The restaurants were clean and staff very friendly, if you coulnt find something you liked then to be honest you must be fussier than me as i was very impressed with what was on offer, only thing that dissapointed me was the lack of Bacon at breakfast but isoon made up with everything else :) Lunch was good we ate at either the main or beach restaurant which over looks the beach and sea. And evening meal there was choice of restaurants some of which you have to book, best advice here is book as early as you can. The entertainment was ok for families however very german orientated. but as always us English tick together an made the best of it, there was a pool party on the Thursday night which they have every 2 weeks which was by far the best night we had in a very long time lots of dancing, food and drinking. all in all entertainment was good. The pool area is a knightmare if you want to get a set of beds then you better be there before 630am and STAY wth your beds or a litte man will take your towels and you are left none the wiser as to where they have gone. sun beds at the beach are always available but make sure you take footwear the sand gets very very hot and not for the faint hearted.
The pool area is generally safe except when wet and becomes very slippery and my son slipped getting out of the pool which resulted in 2 stiches and a day and a half at the hospital, although this hospital was in association with the hotel please be advised to make sure you take your insurance with you and DO NOT PAY MORE THAN YOUR EXCESS at the hospital, they tried to get me to pay the entire bill of 2500 euro which i wasnt prepared to pay, the thomas cook rep was ok but didnt show up t help us out at all, i spet over £200 pounds on calls to the UK trying to sort it out, so if you dont need the rep and have no accidents then the Hotel is great. It is a little dated and is due to close at the end of the season for a refit e hope. Heard about people being ill but didnt see anyting at all, was in the pool every day except for a few days where we went out into town.
we will definately go again to this Hotel if it shows improvement on the deccor.

we travelled the first 2 weeks of August and it was very hot 40+ most days met great people drank plenty ate too much, al in all 4 stars overall.

Room Tip: Go for the Balcony rooms, seem to be bigger

**********GREAT HOTEL ********
If you are planning to go on a diet this is not the hotel for you because the restaurant food is five star with a choice of food to suit all tastes.
Friendly staff nothing was too much trouble always happy to help with all your needs.
Rooms are large clean and stocked daily with a free mini bar we had a terrace which lead onto the garden and pool area.
There are 4 or 5 pools for families, children and adult pools within the hotel complex..Also you can walk straight out of the hotel to the beach where there are beds , parasol and the beautiful sea.
The only negative was guests were getting up around 6 o,clock to put their towels on the sun beds around the pool area which I feel was very selfish as some guests never used them until after lunch.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a terrace or balcony faceing the sea.

We stopped here in July this year. It was an amazing holiday and loved it there. We went in a family holiday and it was perfect. Great kids club and entertainment with great staff esp Ozga and Saloman.
All the hotel was very clean and rooms cleaned everyday only thing I would say the rooms could be abit bigger for a family of 4.
Food was great and having the restaurants for a change was fantastic. All staff in this hotel were always there to help in anyway.
Booking for next year as the best place we have been for a while. Thanx to everyone there for a great holiday xx

Returned this morning from this OUTSTANDING HOTEL!! 4th TIME!
Sentido Perissia the place just gets better! The staff & management who have worked there for many years continue to work extremely hard to maintain the high standards are top notch 5 STAR, it deserves each and every one and I am confident it will remain to be the best on the promenade, you will not regret booking your holiday here! it already has a top rating from TRIP ADVISOR and deserves to be No.1.
Sentido Perissia is spotless throughout, each and every restaurant has different choices and the A la Carte's our favourites Chinese & Italian are fantastic as ever (although missed ADIL one of our favourite waiters found him in the main one though), AHMET & MUSTAFA in the Italian are also long time served waiters and offer fantastic service they work so hard to keep so many guests happy with their attentiveness. Not forgetting ABDULAH also a very skilled waiter now in the main restaurant. The lady at Hot & Crusty must also be one of the busiest ladies ever seen always has a queue, serving freshly prepared cheeseburgers and fries she deserves a medal! There is also a stand at The Avenue bar which alternates the choice of food daily, pasta carbonara one day was gorgeous and decorated with a twig of rosemary & a cherry tomato, excellent presentation by a young chef who has been there years too and one day soon will be one of the top!
It is nice to see in the main restaurant the top chefs come out always ensuring the food is up to its top standards as always!
There is also a Beach Restaurant serving lots of BBQ foods and lots of salad and freshly made pizza's. Ooh not forgetting the cakes from 12 to 6pm... again a fantastic selection.
The are three pools all excellent, and the main one is perfect as almost the same depth throughout the vast area it covers with palm trees around it, the gardens are outstanding too!

Animation Team are lovely, and on an evening there are shows which include professional acts which come in from outside of the hotel the African Acrobats...just amazing.

You cannot fault this hotel!

If you want any information on this hotel please ask it is my 4th visit there!

Cannot wait to return next year!

Room Tip: All the rooms are nice it really depends what you like, the rooms at the back of the hotel look over...

Myself my partner and our 4yr old daughter stayed at this resort for 2 weeks and we had the most amazing holiday. The food was great and the resort spotless. The animation team are eceptional and made our stay at this resort extra special. My daughter attended the children's club daily and can be quite shy, the staff were very professional and soon had her settled. I have stayed in five star resorts in mexico, Jamaica etc and feel that the service and attention to detail given by staff at this resort out weighs any of my previous experiences. You can do as little or as much as you please at this resort. My partner got involved with the beach volley ball and water polo and loved every minute. I have never felt as sad to leave a place as I did when leaving here. The staff that had been looking after my daughter even came to see us off. I can not recommend this place highly enough and will definitely return. I have booked a sister hotel for next year.
