We have just come back from a lovely holiday at seher sun palace resort and spa in side turkey. The hotel was fantastic . Level of service was brilliant and so was the facilities. I would def go again. The food was nice , beach was lovely lots of facilities on the beach linked to the hotel food/ drinks. Very clean. Don't be put of by lack of pictures on the net as you won't be disappointed . Highly recommend booking this hotel .

I returned home from the seher on Friday and below are my thoughts on the hotel-

Positives -
* Hotel is very nice, new, modern & clean.
* Rooms are very nice Shower in bathroom is very good
* Ampitheatre is great for the entertainment at night
* Food is very nice (and im a fussy eater) Turkish A La Carte is a must.
* Beach which is a short walk is very clean and have brilliant watersports on it (paraseiling is a must was brill)
* Entertainment is good at NIGHT time (not long enough though)
* Bar staff/ maids are all very friendly (they put in some hours)
* Music is good around the pool.

Negatives-
* Sewage river next to the hotel smells quite bad
* All the hotel staff hardly know any English (except the bar men) at all - caters for the Germans & the russians.
* Reception staff are very rude and ignore you.
* Cocktails are not included and you have to pay extra ?????
* Minifridge in rooms have only got turkish brands - cola / orange (small negative)
* Ice cream is only served 1 hour a day and the que was always sooooo long.
* The beachbar did not have much of a selection (pizza, chips and the golzeme)
* The Golzeme is 2 ladies rolling dough and putting fillings in them - i waited 1 hour (no joke) standing in the que waiting for one (tasty though).
* The day time / kids entertainment was all in German (didnt have a clue what was going on)
* One entertainer came to me and said "deutch" and i said " no Scottish" and he just walked away for the pool games.
* The pool area is not disinfected or the water tested and i started feeling quite itchy around the pool area.
* You have to be up at 6am to get a sun bed, we couldn't get a bed 4 out of the 7 days we were their (no towels were supposed to be put down before 8am but they were)
* Their were about 2 couples from the uk the rest were Germans and Russians.
* Spa place to get a shower if you are checking out and leaving later is not so nice.(showers are see through)
* Staff in the restaurants were slow at clearing the tables and we often got a dirty table with no forks and knives.
* Hotel was not as close to the beach as we thought.
* As the hotel is brand new their is still some minor snagging like plaster work in the toilets and the area around the hotel not quite finished.
* Nobody at reception desk on arrival and porter didnt bother getting the cases until we carried them up the stairs at 2am after a long journey.
* Beds are extremely hard - i think because they are new.

Rant over.

I was making excuses for this hotel as it is new and it might take a while to get settled in, but as Seher have go 2 other hotels i cant really make excuses.

I would not advise going to the seher hotel or the resort of side if you are from the uk as it all caters for Germans and Russians and the turks are quite ignorant to the British.
The Turks all want Euros aswell even though their currency is lira.

If you don't mind spending your holiday among families with lot's of children, predominantly German and Russian, the hotel is definitelly worth the money, it's new, fresh, good food, nice beach and good service. We definitelly wouldn't mind going back there again soon.

My husband and i and our two teenage children 18, 16 went to the the Seher Sun Palace from the 24-30 May. When i was booking i was a bit concerned that maybe it wasn't finished or even real. But was very happy when we finially arrived there.
The hotel was lovley. Everything was new, and fresh, The lobby was beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful...despitethe language barrier. The Maids did a fantastic job of cleaning room every day. It was lovley to come back to clean room. The rooms were very spacious. We had comfortable nights rest every night. The shower room was great. It was very big. and there was plenty of storage space.

The food was lovely. Plenty of choice for everyone, I was too keen the the deserts or puddings. But that was my opinion. Alot of the food was catered for the Germans and Russians. But one night they had Turkish night....the food was amazing that night. But the food was still great. We went to tthe Turkish A-la carte resturant... which was very nice too. There was plenty to drink...the local drinks were fine. The only disappointment was that the cocktails you had to pay for and they were 6 euros. But we weren't to worried. We just drank the local alcohol. There was one time we went for a cocktail, we went accross the rd where there were shops and there was a resurant there that did cocktails for 3.5 euros. but we only had one.

There was some evening entertainment..,,.,,, i dont know what to say about that...although we did laugh in some places, cos it was so cheesy. Anyway you make your own fun.

There was entertainment during the day if you wanted to join in. The pool area was lovley, it is a lot bigger than it looks in the pictures. It was really nice. There were water slides too which were only on a couple of times a day,but not for very long. There were icecreams available in the afternoon. There is also bar area near the pool. There was plenty of sunbeds available, as long as you got out there early enough btween 9 and 10 maybe.
All in all we had a great time.... I would reccommend this hotel especially if you have younger kids.

We went with Thomas Cook to this new hotel. All we can say is - never again. It was full of German tourists (the tourists were not the problem) The hotel only caters for the German tourists. We took Lira and the hotel only accepted euro's.... The staff - even on reception only spoke Turkish or German no English.
The entertainment was all in German. The evening shows tried to incorporate selling things rather than just being a show.
The "all inclusive" was not all inclusive and many things had to be paid for even whiskey, rum, cocktails etc 8 euro (expensive).
The hotel is part of a chain of 3 hotels local to each other and in theory we were supposed to be able to use the facilities and get drinks at the other two hotels, but no staff meeting had occurred where they were told about the new hotel so we were regularly refused to be served in the other hotel bars.
On a plus side, the rooms were well equipt and very clean. the beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning in the rooms was lovely.... it's a shame the air conditioning was not used in any other public parts of the hotel, the food was lovely but it was just too uncomfortably hot in the restaurant to enjoy it.
The bars were not staffed half the time and when they were it was hard to get their attention and get them to understand what you wanted. Their attitude towards the Brits was not good.
All in All not a place Thomas Cool should send British holiday makers until some British standards are applied.
