Reviewed 16 June 2014

My partner and myself arrived at Barut Arum on 3rd June 2013 for 1 week and had the most amazing time, 1 week was not enough. I am still suffering from the holiday blues and will defo be returning next year if we can get a good deal.

We arrived about 3am and on arrival there was soup and rolls for us as we were really hungry after the journey which was good.

The hotel was beautiful, very modern and was kept very clean and tidy. Our apartment was lovely and spacious and was located at the far end of the hotel, which was handy for the beach. The bathroom's were lovely too, I am funny about using bathrooms that are not my mine, but here they were again really modern and very clean. Our maid also done a good job of your room everyday with clean towels and beach towels.

The food in this hotel was amazing, that good I came back home nearly a stone heavier, oh and that could have also been the taste cocktails I drank all day and night :-) There were 4 restaurants and could not fault any of them, my fav food however was in the Turkish a la cart restaurant. We also enjoyed the a meal in the fine dinning restaurant where Hasan looked after us very well, always refilling our wine glasses when needed and making sure we were happy happy with our meals. We really enjoyed chatting to him about the hotel and our holiday.
We enjoyed the Buffet for breakfast and on some nights for dinner too. Going for the buffet option for dinner is great if your out and about during the day and dont want to feel as if your having to rush back to the hotel to get ready for dinner. We met Yusuf who is one of the managers and Zeki a waiter on our first night and their always remembered our names and would approach us to make sure we are happy and still having a good time and again making sure my glass was never empty.:-) Again they were always smiling and we really enjoyed chatting with them. The Bonsi restaurant was the best option for lunch which overlooked the beachfront. I highly recommend the Arum pizza :-)

I am sorry I cant really all the names of the staff we met, however I would like to say thank you for your service, you really did make your stay really special and we would love to come back next year to visit you all again.
I loved the beach bar, looking out to the ocean with a wee cocktail and just relaxing and chatting with the friendly staff . Hikmet works on the bar most of the day. The service we received from Hikmet was really great, whenever he seen me coming from the beach with an empty glass, he would have my drinks ready for me by the time I got there and he always had a smile on his smile and was great with all the guests.

Pool bar and Lounge bar, were good too. When Latif was on we knew we would have good fun and would enjoy our drinks with a little chat from him. I would say his English was really good which made it easier to chat with him than some of the other bar staff.

The pool area is beautiful with lots of flowers and palm trees, it was very well kept. The spa was lovely would I would defo recommend everyone to get a Turkish bath on their first day to receive a Turkish bath and massage before sunbathing, to get the best tan possible.

I am sorry I cant remember all the names of the staff we met, however I would like to say thank you all for your service, you really did make your stay really special and we would love to come back next year to visit you all again.xxx

This hotel is great. Lots of restaurants to choose from great food and drink. Spacious clean rooms although ours was a little noisy due to being just above the restaurant. Would definitely visit again

This hotel is immaculately clean in all areas and really nicely set out right next to the beach. Our bedroom was located on the 3rd floor and we had a limited sea view room which was really nice and quiet. We had booked all inclusive and there were lots of extras included. Tea and coffee in the room, toiletries, free safety deposit box, slippers, dressing gowns nail file, free wifi and even a beach bag. English is still a bit of an issue with the staff I ran out of shower gel and went to reception to ask for some they got the room number wrong and the next thing we got delivered was a bale of towels. This is not a complaint because I know the manager has organized English lessons. The food is excellent I cannot understand how anyone can complain about it. At lunchtime you can go in the main restaurant or for a change you could visit the snack bar or try a panini from the chefs at the pool very nice. The food in the main restaurant is extremely varied and there is a choice of 3 a la carte restaurants with unlimited use. You just need to ask guest relations to book it for you. We tried both the international and the Turkish a la cartes and you could not fault them in fact we went into the international one 3 times during our 2 week stay. We didn't try the chinese one so can't comment on that one. There is a problem with the sunbeds if you go down at 8 'o' clock the sunbeds around the pool have all been taken what time do these people get up!! However there are still sunbeds available on the beach. Please be aware that you will need to have some money with you when you arrive as the bell boy stands and smiles at you waiting for a tip after taking your cases to the room. The entertainment is really good and the entertainment staff work really hard.
There was a small issue on the last day we had met some friends there and they were leaving just after breakfast so the lady packed some sandwiches at breakfast to take away with her as some of us do I'm sure. She was told off by 1 of the waiters and was very upset and left all the food on the table. Would it perhaps be better to offer a sandwich to take with you to avoid this embarrassment. I know when we arrived the first week we arrived in time for evening meal but left just after breakfast on our last day. Therefore we had missed lunch on the first day. It's just a thought because I know the manager reads these reviews so it would be nice to get his thoughts.
Around and about there is a lovely promenade walk to Side old town harbour and ruins which takes about 40 minutes but you can get the dolmus and that costs about 2.5 lira. There is a good market at Side or you could visit the Manavgat market which is massive and the bus costs about 3.5 lira. These buses do get extremely full. We also went to the waterfall you pay about 2 lira to get in and the water is turquoise in colour not very big but quite nice to see.Again there is a regular bus from Manavgat to the waterfall about 2 lira we got a taxi which cost 10 euros.
Overall this was an excellent holiday

All the staff were really friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: ask for a high floor and I believe it's a little noisy near the restauarant

We visited the Arum in June 2013 and having had such a good time decided to returned again this May 2014 with our two sons. The hotel is very clean and the bedrooms quite spacious. We found the food to be very good and especially enjoyed the variety of the three alternative restaurants. The pool area is lovely and very pretty with all the surrounding flowers. We particularly enjoyed having lunch at the Bonsi restaurant which overlooks the beachfront. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and as are two sons are visually impaired we would particularly like to thank Eldar and Sinan (members of the animation team) who were very helpful in engaging them in the activities. It is a pleasant walk along the beach front to Side and if you wish you can get a bus which will bring you back to the hotel. All in all we had a lovely holiday. Thank you.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a partial sea view, otherwise you may get a room overlooking the road.

Got back from our stay here yesterday 29/05/2014 after a amazing weeks holiday. The Barut Arum Hotel is 5* without a doubt. When we arrived at 11.30pm we were met by Thomson rep who was very friendly and helpful. Then appeared the bell boy he was a little gem a whirl wind and insisted on taking your cases for you ,then bringing you a welcome cold fruit juice. Reception were more than helpfull and took time to explain everything to. us. First impressions of the hotel were stunning . we booked a junior suite on the 6th foor we were so pleassd with the room . it was spotless huge bathroom with a massive walk in shower ,seperate living room area and large very comfy bed. The balcony had 2 sun loungers table and 2 chairs. The veiw from there was breath taking over looking pools and gargens and the sea which is 2 minute walk from main building. Bathrobes and slippers were supplied . Room had tea and coffee making facilities. All the staff were so friendly and helpfull nothing was ever to much trouble. They all worked so hard and very long hours.. There uniforms were always so clean and tidy. The hotel has 3 Al a catre restaurants but we didnt try these as food was so good in buffet restaurant. Lots of choice at every mealtime all presented so well and always being refilled. you get drinks at the table so no having go go looking for drinks . They had black and white gala night on wednesday evening the buffet resturant looked amazing with ice sculptures and watermelons cut into beautifull flowers and arrangments. we used the pool bar and beach bar both have good staff and it is waiter service you never have go wait long to be served anywhere.Drinks are really good. nice effes beer. I could go on for ages as everything was so good . so if your looking for a lovely relaxed first class holiday i would recommend here. and if you want to pay a bit extra for a junior suite you will not be dissapointed .

Room Tip: we had room 1646 juinor suite . big room lovely views.lots of sunshine.

Excellent pre-visit sevice by Guest Relations (Neslihan Denizci, thank you!).

Nice and clean rooms. A beautiful pool area ideal for small and a little older kids, with comfortable poolside sitting facilities close to bars and a little lunch restaurant.

An all-inclusive package stay meant no trouble with money and/or credit cards. Food and drinks (ice creams for the kids!) easily accessed whenever desired. The whole staff, including waiters and room service personnel, were extremely service-oriented and very, very kind to the kids.

Direct access from the park-like pool area just outside the hotel building to the sand beach and the sea.Because of the very nice weather we spent all but one day of our week bathing in the pool and or the sea.

The single day outside the hotel was spent walking along the walkway close to the beach to Side that was a quite touristic, but nevertheless quite pleasant, little town with an interesting antique amphi-theatre and a number of restaurants, many of which close to the water.

The late april weather was wonderful, 22-25 centigrades in the air, 22 in the water.

Our grandparents, parents and grandchildren get together holiday could not have been better. Little Elis (6 years): "This is the best that has happened in all my life!".

Thank you, Barut Hotel Arum Resort & Spa, we would be happy to return!

Room Tip: Children and grandchildren in the family apartment part ot the hotel, grandparents a few floors up i...
