14-06-2014 the 2nd x to this hotel. Last year 15/10 and now again.
The hotel was renewed during the winter when fine,
with both rooms and an additional restaurant swimup for snacks during the day as a la carte in the evening.
Excellent, food even better and more extensive than when.
Staff friendly, helpful, rooms very clean with daily supplement bath products and more than enough with minibar, terrace.
All-inn fine getting somewhere something to eat, snack or drink.
The pools are very good with plenty of sunbeds. As well as to the beach.
One can always on the terrace of the main restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Many recurring customers. Germans, Englishmen, Russians and Belgians.
Beautiful well-kept garden. Good animation the amphitheater is located along the boulevard where also a bar.
One can walk along the boulevard to in Side. Along the great job to Kumkoy. We will be back.

returned back from hemera on the 6th of may and wanted to go straight back. having been to hemera for over 20 times you would think that i would have had my fill of the place but can say without any fear of contradiction that every time i have been the quality of my holiday has improved this year for me, amongst numerous other things, was the new pool and olive bar/restaurant with italian themed food amongst the best i have tasted. people say to me why go to the same hotel so many times? i don't i travel all over the place being a serial holidayer but where ever me and my wife go the hotel is always compared to Hemera and never found another hotel where i am welcomed like a member of the family by the whole staff from senior management, management, office staff, waiters, gardeners, technicians, cleaners and all are part of the hemera family. you will always find people who knock places just to try get money back from the tour operators but i cant see why any complaint should go as far as the rep. because if you asked at reception if the problem can be resolved it would be by hemera itself. maybe i am biased after visiting hemera so many times but i know that when i go to hemera i will receive first class service from 100% of the staff and i will be visiting the hemera for a good many years yet God willing as will lot of people i know and have met there and a lot of people that i look forward to meeting at fantastic Barut Hemera Resort and Spa

I don't understand how you can write a review and more importantly give it a score rating without staying first ... Hope you realise you could effect it's score rating for that !

Don't be concerned at all ... You will want for nothing at The Hemera, I know people that have been going to this hotel for years .

Personally, myself we've stayed twice before and are due back again in August this year for our 3rd stay , we can't wait to see the refurb and stay here again.

It's so friendly, the staff make this hotel , it's so clean , food is fab and plentiful .. Location is great. Try google earth to see location.

Stop worrying and look forward to a lovely holiday ..

We actually had a horrible stay in Belek one year and got our rep to transfer us to a The Hemera, the week there made up for the first week that's for sure. They, staff remembered us and we got bottles of wine left in our room ..

Naturally, you will always get some moaner who has stupidest of niggles and blow out if portion, jJust look at all the reviews on this hotel, to see the majority rate this hotel very highly and return !

This was our first visit to Turkey and we chose the hotel on the strength of Trip Advisor reviews. All in all, we were really pleased with our choice.

We had a 2 bedroomed apartment which was quite spacious and had a living area with a table, chairs, (very hard) setee, tv and balcony. We had a view of the pool and sea in the distance and road to the the side but that didn't prove particularly noisy. The room was on the third floor of this block and there was NO lift. A poor bell-boy carried all our luggage up 6 flights of steps, and we rang reception on leaving for help to take them back down.

The hotel wasn't full when we stayed. We were able to get a table at meal times without any problem and sunbeds were easily available as well. I was surprised that there is nobody on the door of the restaurant to check your room number as there are no wrist bands at this hotel. As a result, the restaurant policy of no shorts or jeans is completely unenforced and largely ignored.

Pools were lovely - clean and well maintained. Slides were open at designated times and were good fun.

We enjoyed the food. There was a good selection of hot and cold food, desserts were good, plenty of fruit, lovely salads. No complaints. Some waiters were more prompt than others in getting drinks for you.

The hotel faces the beach at the back. There is a floating pontoon on the beach which you can walk on and jump off into the sea at the end. Walking into the water for a swim is difficult because there are rocks in the water at shallower levels. The beach is lovely though. You can walk along the prom into Side which has the usual tourist shops, harbour, bars and some good ruins to visit. Opposite the front entrance of the hotel are a selection of shops and bars so we found it to be a good location.

The only contact we had with the reception staff was when we were leaving. Our bus was late to pick us up. My husband asked one of the male staff for some help as to what we should do. The reception staff's "mate" entered the hotel at that point, with much laughter and chat between the two male reception staff and this other man and they handed my husband their mobile phone to take photos of themselves whilst we were worried our bus had forgotten to pick us up!! Very unprofessional! For that reason and the fact that climbing all those stairs several times a day means that I have knocked a point off their rating.

Apart from that .... all good and I would recommend.

Room Tip: If you are less mobile I would specify this when booking incase you are allocated a room in a block...

After last year's holiday at Barut Hemera, we were so pleased that we booked another trip in May / June -14. Our new visit was just as good as we hoped. Friendly staff, good service, clean and fresh throughout. There really is nothing to complain about.
We have also recommended the hotel to our friends after two weeks stay was just as happy as we.
We will happily return.

Stayed here end of April beginning of May for a week
Location is perfect just a 30 minute walk to the centre of Side along the excellent prom
Hotel recently refurbished to a high standard
Check in although quite late smooth and quick
Shown to or room by the bell boy and given directions where to get a snacks and drinks
Room recently refurbished to a high standard with modern decor and all mod cons
We had a balcony jacuzzi room which was well worth the extra cost
Swim up rooms at adults only quiet pool also looks worth the extra cost
Pools, grounds and all public areas are of high standard and well kept and look recently refurbished
As with all Barut hotels we have stayed the gardeners do a fantastic job with the grounds and gardens

Restaurant was a disappointment when busy as there was no one helping to get people seated
Food was also a disappointing as there was a poor selection of foods and of poor quality
Chicken wings, meat balls, and loads of Turkey dishes was the norm every day and night
Once seated table service for drinks wasn't too bad

Bar and lounge areas was the biggest disappointment as the service especially the downstairs lounge was almost non existent and the manager down there (small guy)just moved from pilar to pillar without organising his staff or interacting or helping guests get seat or drinks
Entertainment was also poor but this may get better as it was early in the season
No branded drinks on offer anywhere in the hotel which is not as advertised in some tour operator brochures

Wifi good throughout the hotel and public areas
Couple of steep hills around the hotel
Kids club looked up to the usual Turkish high standard

All in all a good hotel that could be so much better if they could get the service up to the standard of the excellent Barut Lara

Weather this year was not so good with it very mixed and a couple of days of non stop torrential rain

Room Tip: Jacuzzi and swim up rooms excellent

OK...so....We arrived and were upgraded from a Standard room to a Family room, which was very nice of them..the hotel was half full or less so..it was nice. The food is very good, although kind of repeats itself. NOW.......we chose the hotel because it has an indoor pool, we have a small child..and the weather in some of the days wasnt perfect. When we wanted to go, the pool door was closed...the pool was working, but the door closed..we asked to open it and we were told that its summer season and its closed..which I could see was kind of an excuse not to open it...the water slides..only worked for like 1 hour a day..ISN'T IT SUMMER SEASON..please work all day than...it was pretty obvious the hotel was trying to cut costs....now the biggest problem...SERVICE IS BAD.....all the workers look really unhappy......all of them playing with their phones right in front of me while I ask for something..hardly any smiles....making you feel bad for asking something..at the reception I always got some made up story that the clerk made up on the spot..this might work well on the Germans and Russians that come..but it was obvious they have no policy on certain things......back to the good things......you can get something to eat at all times of the day which is great...they really pamper you kids..which bath accessories, stroller baby bed etx..at no extra cost.....popcorn machine! really nice small things..so in short..if its nice and warm...and you don't mind service WITHOUT a smile..I recommend this hotel..it is good and we did have a good time.
