A large group of us stayed at the hotel between the 16th and 30th August. Firstly, let me start by saying that all the reviews about the welcome and general service etc is spot on and generally faultless, the glass of bubbly and cold towel on arrival was much appreciated and a great touch. The majority of us were upgraded to Villa Rooms with our own villa pool and sunbeds which pretty much made our holiday. The food was great and did not feel at all repetitive and the cocktails were better quality than most hotels 'all inclusive' cocktails. The grounds were stunning and well looked after, and there were banana, orange and olive trees etc to see.
Al La Carte Restaurants - I have been going to Turkey on and off for a long time, and I always remember that this is a Turkish take on these cuisines, the chinese was acceptable, although some of the food was a bit fatty or salty, but this was my taste buds, not a commentary on the food itself. The Italian was a bit hit and miss, the starters, soup etc was nice, but my main was a bit confused lol. Unfortunately, due to the size of the group (and the fact that we had to cancel our first booking) we did not manage to get into the turkish al la carte, although other guests said this was the best.
Beach - Did not spend a lot of time on the beach or the main pools, so do not feel qualified to comment. However, what I did see was that these were clean, well maintained and everyone on or around them seemed to be having a great time. Neighbours of ours did manage to swim with the Turtles as well. Staff seemed to be milling around and testing the water etc.
Entertainment - not to my taste, however some guests did seem to be enjoying this, and I would certainly not let my thoughts on the entertainment stop you from considering this hotel. It is entirely subjective, and they are trying to cater for different nationalities.
Food - didn't have a day where I couldn't find something to eat. Even the deserts which can be hit and miss in Turkish Hotels were good, and the selection of fruit on offer was outstanding and flavoursome. By far the best food in a hotel I have experienced in Turkey (and other countries I have also visited).
Overall, we would go back to this hotel again without question, more so if we could guarantee ourselves a free upgrade to the Villa rooms :-).
