Stayed 1st week of July and overall had a lovely holiday, but very disappointed that the hotel boasts 5 a la carte restaurants but we couldn't get into any..very limited availability. Food was ok but definitely geared towards Russian/ German visitors, bit samey, I'm not a fussy eater but I was not overly impressed with the food. Plenty of sunbeds but nowhere near enough umbrellas!! Turkish staff in the lobby were lovely but Russian ones quite rude. Also almost all of the kids entertainment was not English..my little boy couldn't understand most of it! Saying all that we still had a good holiday, but prob wouldn't return.

Great hotel from when we arrived we were treated very well, from staff waiting to take our cases as soon as we got off the coach, to complimentary champagne and a cold towels very welcomed after travelling for hours.

We were wowed when we were taken to our room, we were on the ground floor of a two story block 2 minutes away from the main reception great location. Then in the morning we were wowed again from the great view of the gardens. We are very glad we didn't pay out the extra money for a deluxe room, as from what we heard from other guests it isn't worth paying for the deluxe sea view because if you were on the top floor you may not see the sea as the view was blocked by the trees.

The food was great, lots of fresh choices from the buffet.
A disappointment we had was from the a la carte,on our second day we thought we would book in, but when we arrived to book at 9.30 we were told that all the restaurants were fully booked until the last day of our stay where we could only book the Chinese, so we would recommend booking a la carte as soon as you get there.

Overall great views, very clean pool, very clean tidy hotel always see staff cleaning, very friendly helpful staff and great food came home feeling very
relaxed.
Would highly recommend to families and couples.

Ratings 1-5. 5 being the strongest.

- Rooms -Nice clean rooms, though not very big - 4
- Bars and restaurants - Great as there are a quite a few - 5
- Pools - Large pool and smaller kids pool with slides - 5
- Grounds - Fantastic large grounds - 5
- Beach - Quite rocky and water is quite murky with seaweed - 2
- Food - Pretty good for a buffet of such scale. Gets a bit familiar after a few days - 4
- Staff - Very good. Always quickly over at meal times to offer drinks. Kids club staff are great - 5
- Kids club - Fantastic. They can come and go as they please - 5
- Kids evening entertainment - 5
- Adults evening entertainment - Unless you like a wedding disco band each evening, then it doesn't offer much. - 2

Finally. 2 things that annoyed me right at the end of the stay.
1. 5 Euro charge for losing a plastic room key card. I've lost plenty of these in 4 star hotels and am just handed a new one.
2. Checkout day was very amateurish. Firstly, they rang the room phone at 8.30 and hung up. They rang again at 8.35 and hung up. Secondly, someone knocked on the door at 8.45 and walked in and out. Finally, the cleaner came to clean the room at about 10.00. The issues that i have with this are 1) I only knew checkout was at noon because i went to reception and asked them. Not a 5 star experience. 2) I don't need someone calling and hanging up to remind me that i need to leave the room. 3) The cleaner should know its check out day, and therefore clean the room after noon. 4) No letter to inform the time of the bus transfer to the airport. not a 5 star experience.
Basically. Don't expect a Hilton level of professionalism in this are.

Finally. If you are going into Side to eat. Avoid the meal that the waiters are giving the hard sell on. E.g. King prawns and lobster. Absolute rip off!

Just returned from a great and relaxing holiday at Turquoise in Side.

Location
The hotel is situated in the forest of Sorgun. No shops or anything right outside hotel but taxi and busstop right in front of entrance. Side and Manavgat are 5 minutes away. Cost you 7 and 8 euro for taxi.

General
The surroundings are amazing, palm trees, pines, flowers. Gardeners did a great job keeping this garden very clean. The general areas were kept spotless clean. Even saw a live turtle in the garden.

Room
We booked 2 standard rooms and asked adjacent rooms. We were amazed by the fact we were upgraded to a 3 room villa with terrace. Our villa had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a livingroom. Every room had separate airconditioning, mini bar (replenished daily) and a flatscreen tv. Bed was a little hard but slept very well. Rooms very clean on arrival and kept clean by the cleaning lady. Altough you could see some little signs of wear in the bathroom and around the airco. But this is really minimal! Every villa has direct access to a private pool and has its own numbered lounge beds.

Pool and beach
Cause we had our own numbered lounge beds, we spent little time at the main pool. For the number of guests I found the main pool not that big. Had some troubles finding a lounge bed around the pool in late morning but always found one. Pools were not really refreshing but did the job fine.

Food and drinks
This is were the hotel really made the difference with other hotels.
Breakfast is served in the main restaurant. A lot of choice, croissants and other pastries, bread, different kind of cereals, yogurt, fruit. Options for hot breakfast, omlet made to order, pancakes, sausages and a lot more. For guests staying in the villa area there is a private breakfast area, choice there is limited but they serve fresh orange juice.
At noon we mostly ate at the snackbar. At the snackbar you could choose between pizza, hamburgers, chicken kebab, fries, stuffed potatoes, spaghetti, cold salades, and some other things which varied day by day. Choice in the main restaurant was wider but due to limited hours we only once made it. Again for guests staying in the villa there is an extra option, the à la carte lunch. Options here were almost the same as other restaurants at noon, only difference is that you get served.
Dinner was also served at the main restaurant or at one of the 5 à la carte restaurants. The main restaurant had a different theme every night, and gave a lot of choice. You could eat something else every evening. Desserts are recommended! We also ate at the à la carte 2 times, chose steakhouse and Italian. At the Steakhouse fixed menu, mushroomsoup, salad, steak with fries and dessert. At the Italian, bruschetta, minestrone soup, ravioli, salad, choice of main and tiramisu. Both were really amazing, very very good! Can recommend both options!
Drinks during whole stay were very good. Never had to wait long at restaurants for taking orders. Good cocktail choice, all professionaly prepared. Mojitos, very good!

Entertainment
Didn't got involved but seemed good. They offered different kind of sports, pool games. Kids seemed to have fun to. Evening entertainment constisted of live band, mongolian acrobates, dance show, circus.

Service
Everyone of the personel is very friendly, from the gardener, cleaning lady to waiter, chef, ... When asked, they did. Couldn't ask more! Were given champagme and cold towel on arrival. At private pool they bring ice cold towels and fruit twice a day.

Conclusion
Last year we stayed at the Baia Lara, and okay Turquoise is not that new or luxurious. But we definitely had an amazing holiday, the resort and garden is very beautiful. The food at Turquoise is better than our holiday last year. We would return and can understand why people are returning here for several years. Worth the money!

Room Tip: We got an upgrade to a villa with terrace and this was really amazing! Would recommend booking this!

Write this review sitting on the beach on last day of my holidays, everything up to now is great,2nd visit so I knew what expect great location, service, food, cleanliness, entertainment but as I speak I have just been told I cannot use my room after 12 midday.
When you have a late flight you risk having no place to freshen up and if they can spare a room it's approx £35 for 4 hours and £70 for 8 which Is pretty expensive, that luxury I don't have so here's to a long 10 hour wait for the coach

Stayed at this hotel 01 July - 15 July. We arrived after 10.30pm, after checking in we were given a glass of champagne and an ice cold face flannel which was a nice touch. We were then offered something to eat. Our bags were taken to our room 1364 which was beautiful and the view was fabulous over the main pool and sea. The mini bar in our room was stocked daily with Pepsi, Orange, Lemonade, sparkling water, Still water, Effes Beer. Tea and coffee was also stocked daily. Rooms are cleaned everyday.

All staff at this hotel are excellent and work very hard to make your stay enjoyable, nothing is too much trouble. The buffet restaurant is fantastic with a very wide choice of delicious food (Well done Chefs!). We also visited 3 of the a-la-carte restaurants (Turkish, Italian and Steak House) which we enjoyed, our favourite was the steak house as it was a lovely setting by the pool. Throughout the day you can eat at the snack bar, have a nice cake or ice cream from the patisserie, pancakes or crepes from show cooks outside, buffet restaurant is also open for lunch.

The hotel has its own private beach and 2 piers, we liked to sunbathe on the pier as it had a lovely breeze and easy enough to go for a dip in the sea. There is lots of activities throughout the day for children and adults alike. There is evening entertainment most nights and some of the shows are really good.

The location of the hotel - There are no shops, bars or anything outside the hotel but you can walk along the sandy beach to the centre of Side to shops, bars etc, this takes about half an hour but is a lovely walk, although you can't walk this at night as it is dark. My husband walked the road into side but there is no pavement and it took him just over an hour. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel where you can jump on the dolmis to Side for 2.5 lira and this takes about 10 min.

My husband likes to walk throughout the day so would have preferred it to be more central but overall the Hotel, food and staff were excellent and we had a great stay and you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: We had a great view from our room 1364.

Second time at this hotel and another great stay. Just got back from 7 night stay. Upgraded on arrival which also happened last year so great start. Pool area is great and in the hot weather I recommend getting beds on the grass as it is a bit cooler than on the pool surround. The food was great as and we had meals at the steak and the Turkish a-la-carte restaurants. The buffet food was excellent with a wide choice and plenty of options from the show cook outside. The staff were great and every lunch time at the pool snack bar the waiter put flowers on our table and was ready with a cooling drink. Evening entertainment could be a bit hit and miss but they have shows in the auditorium or music (groups) at the sultan bar on most nights and a garden party / four seasons party on a couple of nights. If anybody wants a relaxing break with good food and drink and good service go here.
