100% would recommend this hotel, the rooms are big, the hotel is immaculate, staff friendly and helpful and the area itself is beautiful! Plenty to do round about, beautiful walks along the promenade to Kumkoy or Side where you can choose to eat from many restaurants or do some shopping.

Never expected the hotel to be so luxurious, this really is five star and pure luxury. For your money a complete bargain, we will definately be going back again. Only downside would be the language barrier as not many people speak any English, mainly German so learning some Turkish in advance could be helpful!

Room Tip: Beautiful views from 6th floor, kids pool with flumes are great

Thank you Melas you were as your reviews stated and as your pictures showed. Booking this only a month ago was the best decision made. After a long 7 months a holiday was needed all around, we have visited Turkey numerous times but never Side. Melas fulfilled all our needs and desires, we had our rooms on the 8th floor and after reading the reviews daily before we left (bad experience in the past) and know that the rooms were meant to be bigger as you went up floors i was excited. The room (i think) was that shown online the size was fantastic, the shower to die for, a fridge with cold drinks a kettle and hot drinks. Shower gel/shampoo, hairdryer and towels provided.
The mini bar refilled at 9am every morning. The food was really good for an all inclusive, 4 a la carte restuarant's which we were luckily enough to visit 2 of them ;-)
You could near enough eat from the minute you got up until bedtime, drinks plenty our daughter lived on ice creams. The beach as stated by others a blue flag, the sea as warm as a bath. Grass verges to the beach with sun loungers and umbrellas. Shower cubicles and hairdryers all over the resort. Wasnt much that Melas hasnt thought about, my first holiday wasnt worried that we didnt have a room to keep on the hotel had enough faclities for all.
Please Please note you can use the sauna and steam rooms free and as much as you like in your stay we always forget until the last day.
The hotel was mainly German/Belgium so the standard was high, we have a 3 1/2 year old and like all children language is never a barrier and everyone was friendly no matter what language you spoke or who won the football (we were there for the final).
Seriously i dont have a bad word to say about Melas, we meet some lovely friends, we relaxed, we ate and drank. We walked along the promande to Side twice. Visited Manavgat Market (mondays or staurdays) which is a big market but so much less hassle than your normal turkish market. A week wasnt quite long enough I will be back and i will tell all my friends and all those that will listen Melas Resort Side is a must. Also thank you for loveholidays.com who helped me get this resort and the advice....

Room Tip: Quiet, clean and what you see in the pictures is what you get. Bedrooms big, showers to die for.

Myself, wife & 3 year old daughter stayed at the Melas for a week in mid June and had a wonderful time!
The hotel, grounds and staff were brilliant, the place is spotless and the food is fantastic.
The hotel has an entertainment team that work during the day entertaining guests with dart competitions etc, (we had a right laugh with some of the German guys, great sense of humour) and in the evening they perform on stage. They are very talented and work very hard all day long. Best entertainment team we have ever come across.
I personally do not normally go back to the same place on holiday but with this hotel I could make an exception. The staff cant do enough for you.
If you want a great holiday with great facilities then I would definitely recommend this place.

Room Tip: Sea facing. We had an ungraded room which was fantastic.

Love love love this hotel! We booked this hotel last minute after looking at so many hotels, we decided on this one based on the good reviews! Well it certainly surpassed expectations. The hotel is situated just outside of side which is about a 30 min walk or hop on the dolmus bus that stop right outside the hotel for 2 Turkish lira each!
The hotel is situated overlooking the beautiful sea and has its own private blue flag beach which is stunning. The rooms were huge and modern and we had a side sea view which was stunning I definetly reccomend. There was mini bar included in the room and a daily maid service, the maids always did a really good job. The food was lovely with a variation for breakfast lunch and dinner in the main Buffet and the table service was excellent we were never left waiting for drinks or for plates to be cleared. We managed to get in to the new al a carte restaurant the Chinese on the last night of our holiday and boy are we glad we did, it's by far the best meal I have had in years including both the the uk and and abroad. There are 4 al a Cartes In total and I would recommend you book the day you get there as they do fill up quickly. I also heard that if there's space they will let you dine once in each of them. The waiters and waitresses were great with our two year old son always smiling and greeting him, and they were always polite. The hotel is situated next door to its sister hotel melas village and as a guest in the hotel you are able to use their facilities, for example they have an aqua park and most of bathe evening entertainment takes place over there, which again we found to very good and they have kids clubs ECt ! The hotel does mainly consist of German guests and I would say 85% are German and therefore the hotel is not the best in terms of understanding English. We found when we went to reception they often didn't not understand simple English. However this does not put me off as if anything we just need to either learn a bit of basic German or Turkish. I think that if more British people went to this hotel then perhaps the understanding would be better. We were not put off by the fact that we were in the minority as if we wanted more British we could have gone to marmaris. Just a word of warning if you want a sunbed you need to get down to the pool about 8am as the sun beds do get taken early. Again this isn't a problem if you get up early for breakfast anyway. I can't praise this hotel enough and we are already looking at booking again for next year! See you next year melas!!

Room Tip: We were floor 5 , get a sea view if you can be aware if you have a pushchair, some parts of hotel doesn't have lift access so we would have to carry pushchair.

Searched for somewhere nearer than usual long haul, recommended by friends to look at Turkey. Boy are we pleased we did. This hotel is ACE, yes, more geared for the many Germans who stay, but that didn't detract from the way we were treated, or, our enjoyment.
Accommodation was excellent, we did have a side sea view and were located on the second floor, tall trees are growing in the garden area, which will soon mean that the hotel will need to only offer side sea views from the third floor upwards! Will ensure that we ask for a higher floor next time.!
We have never seen such a clean hotel, seemed that they worked around the clock, ensuring that every area, met theirs and visitors high standards.
We did take up the a la carte dinning, but we were not impressed, much preferred the buffet in the main restaurant. Plenty of choice and special themed evenings several times a week.
Pool, ideal, loads of beds, no major problems with people reserving beds.
Thought there maybe issues relating to tipping, to get better service, but this wasn't an issue, we had good service from all the hotel staff and we didn't tip until the last day.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor than two.
