After booking this holiday i decided to check out the reviews a week before we went. To be honest they all seemed to contain bad comments about the hotel and i was expecting horrible food and horrible staff. What i experienced was the complete opposite! Some of these people leaving reviews must have been to a palace to stay on previous holidays. On arrival the receptionist was very friendly and our cases were taken to our rooms. The rooms were slightly small but when your only sleeping there it isnt a problem and all rooms have air con. I had heard about the staff and chefs being rude, however on my first day one of the members of staff (simon) introduced himself and was a great friend to us throughout the holiday but all other staff were also lovely and helpful. The food was lovely we had pizza, bbq's, burgers, chicken, chips, rice, fish etc. There was a beautiful selection of salads and the desserts are to die for!! you could only get two drinks per person but it wasn't a problem and after 9.30 you have to get one drink each but this is respectable as this is a busy time and they were trying to tidy up. My 3 year old absolutly loved the water slide which was open from 11-12 and 3.30-5pm it was fantastic. We woke up at 7 every morning to reserve our sun loungers and always got them in good places. It was annoying that people reserved sun loungers all day and others went without and they would stroll back off the beach at 5pm take their towel off and head off to their room without having even sat on the lounger! There is a lovely selection of shops nearby if you go out of the back gate of the hotel and turn left then walk a little while and take the next left go up that road and then turn right, then the next left and there is some friendly shops and resteraunts. The hotel entertainment consisted of a thomas cook quiz, belly dancer and a magician which the kids and adults loved. All in all it was great value for money and i absolutely loved my holiday, i would love to go back soon and would reccommend it.

after reading many reviews i was dreading going to this hotel... but i have to say the only disappointing things about my whole 2 week holiday was some of the guests!!!!!

it was an immaculate hotel, the staff when spoken to politely were lovely! the food was as advertised, Turkish. yes there was a shortage of sunbeds, but it wasn't helped by people reserving them early on and not returning to the hotel until 5pm.

it was what I booked, a value for money hotel, it did everything it said it would. If people want a holiday that involves other cultures, trying new things and going with the flow, then this place is ideal, if you want what you have at home, then stay in the UK !!!!!

i would definitely go again....

We booked this for our honeymoon it was a a total let down on the thomascook website it says that it is all-inclusive, they should rephrase it and say poor full board plus drinks.
Breakfast served 7.30am till 9am and dont expect a nice fry-up because all you get is eggs, eggs, eggs and more eggs their is not even a toaster to make toast.
Lunch served 12.30pm till 2pm if you like chicken and rice you will be fine cos this is all they serve.
Dinner served 7.30pm till 9pm chicken and fish seems like what did not get eaten at lunch is made into something that looks a little different.
Drinks served 10am till 10pm and you can only have pop, vodka, and Gin dont expect a full glass cos you only get half, oh and after 9.30pm you have to keep hold of your glass or you will not be able to get another drink and its 1 per person.
Snack bar just so that you no THEIR IS NOT ONE!
Staff if they smile at you or be friendly they will get SACKED
The pool slide is on for a maximum of 3 hours a day and if you make a slash they will turn it off and say you are coming down too fast. also if someone has an accident in their i.e has a poo they just leave it floating.
i would not reccomend this to family or friends as it is not a place to go Side its self is lovely the people are really nice and freindly but they will try to get you into their shops or bars.

well what can i say , for a start we arrived at 7 in the morning to reception that didnt have any air con but that was the story all round the hotel apart from the room. The man in reception didnt speak any english but that really continued with all the staff,we were then left with another guy taking our cases to the room who wouldnt leave until he was tipped. The staff in the hotel were very ignorant and didnt know how to smile. As for the food i wouldnt even feed my dogs this crap,it was very repetitive i read one reveiw and the guy said he got steak {think he must of been in different hotel or on drugs}.The drink was your usual that u get anywhere else but they use real coke fanta and sprite that was a bonus,u have to pay for your bottled water 1lira but you get 2 bottles for that at the shop at the back of hotel {that must be a gold mine that}.There is no entertainment in hotel at all, the pool is alright there is a flume in 1 but beware dont go down it too fast or the guy will turn the water off and close it.The location of hotel isnt very good its quite far out from the center of the town so take your walking boots,we always go all inclusive so this was a big shock for us i think they should change this to half board cause thats what it was like.

Having been to Side over 26 times in the last 16 years, we decided for once to book a package deal and go all inclusive as it came out cheaper. Firstly I always stay in a motel or a pension within the walls of Side so thought the Oz Side would be miles away, but its location was great, considering it wasnt in town. I walked into town once and the rest of the time caught a taxi as it was too hot to walk.

When we arrived at the hotel we were welcomed by the night reception man, who didnt hassle us at all, was very polite and showed us to our room. The room was very clean, we didnt have the best view but Im not one for sitting on my balcony really, so didnt bother us at all.

After going out as soon as we arrived to drop all the goodies off to my friends from home, we managed to miss breakfast. We spent all of our first day around the pool, which was ok, except for the lack of sunbeds and for the majority of the english guests moaning. The pool is an average size, quite big even by Turkey standards but there was a slgiht lack of sunbeds. All the guests seem to get up extra early to lie their towels out so that they ensured they had a sunbed. The conversation around consisted of; there arent any english tea bags, the foods slop, why isnt there any chips!!!!

After a morning of listening to this my mom and I decided to go to the beach everyday. The beach was great, it was the beach I go to every year, ok its not part of your all inclusive package but to get away from moaning guests was fab!!

We ate our evening meal at the hotel 5 out of the 7 nights which was fine. The food was traditional turkish cuisine and we werent served chicken every night as reported in everyone elses reviews, There was grilled fish, Lasagna, Chicken among other things. The choice wasnt very large but it was all cooked well and was turkish. The one day we had lunch in the hotel there was chips and burgers etc.

Other guests seem to regularly complain about the all inclusive only being up until 10pm. The management whilst we were there did keep changing the rules about only being able to collect 2 drinks from the bar per person which was slightly annoying but it wasnt the bar staffs fault. The brochure and internet does state the hours of all inclusive and what is included with it. The beer wasnt efes but it wasnt bad tasting either. This hotel is in the Sunset brochure for Thomas Cook which is budget holidays for low prices. People seem to complain about the lack of entertainment etc but when you only pay £450pp for a weeks all inclusive at the height of the season you arent going to get much more. Once I had eaten my evening meal I would make my escape for the evening into town.

The hotel was extremely clean and all the reception staff seemed very polite. The night receptionist always checked I was home safe etc.

Overall I had a fab time as always but it seemed like guests enjoyed the moaning yet none of them seemed to approach the rep to complain. Im a big believer in you get what you pay for, this was a cheap holiday considering flight only was going to cost near £400 per person.... xx

I have travelled to Side over 26 times in the last 15 years and decided for only the 4th time in visiting to book a package as it seemed better than flight only. Firstly location of this hotel is great, it is out of town but majority of hotels are out of town but this was very close in comparison to the rest. I normally stay in pensions or motels inside the walls of Side so was quite surprised. During August it was particularly hot so I often caught a taxi into town for 10 lira, less than £5. The rooms were very clean as was the pool area. I only spent 2 days around the pool due to the constant moaning of other hotel guests, majority of which were english. The food served was failry basic but quite delicious. Breakfast was quite a traditional turkish breakfast, eggs, cucumber, tomato, fresh bread, cereals etc. The lack of bacon caused riots with guests and I heard many people moan about this!!!! Turkey is a muslim country therefore you would not expect to find it. As advertised with Thomas Cook the all inclusive starts at 9am and finished at 10pm which was stuick to religiously, I never stayed in the hotel beyond 8.30pm so this didnt really effect me. The bar staff arent the happiest of folks but once they realised I spoke turkish they relaxed a little. I did feel sorry for them though as when the management kept changing rules on how many drinks per person could be collected from the bar they seemed to getting the wrath!!!! Overall the hotel was lovely, basic but lovely, shame majority of the guests felt the need to moan about lack of bacon and pg tips!!!! This hotel is advertised in the Sunset brochure which is the basic Thomas Cook brochure, so you do get what you pay for.... xx
