We didn't really know what we were letting ourselves in for as we'd booked a cheap holiday in this 2* hotel, but it was really good. OK, there are a few things that could be better - the room wasn't massive and the picture on the wall had cracked glass, but who cares? One of my priorities is clenliness and it was fine (not perfect, but fine). The staff were fantastic and the pools are brilliant for adults, but especially kids. Me and my wife were so pleased to be able to relax on a sun lounger next to the 45cm deep childrens pool while our three year old splashed about. Be aware that you pay extra for the air conditioning, fridge and safety deposit box, but it's not lots (ac was the most expensive at £30 for a week). The mosque does wake you up at 5am, but we all managed to get right back to sleep. Breakfast is boiled eggs, melon, feta cheese, toast, cucumber etc but they put one new thing out each day to break up the monotony. I can't give it 5 stars because of the room size and some small things that could be refreshed, but it's much better than a 2 star hotel!

Arrived at hotel and given a price list of all additional things, Air con, Safe, Fridge, Kettle, mattresses for sun loungers and Fan, this was a surprise as not told of this when booking holiday. Room was very disappointing being cramped and very dated. Bedding needed to be updated due to being stained and rough.Pool was best part of hotel apart from needing to reserve sun loungers first thing, limited sun loungers and space considering the size of hotel. No secure area for leaving luggage on day of departure.
Would recommend having a massage in the Turkish Spa at the hotel.
The management need to think about providing plastic cups, rather than glasses for drinks around the pool, on 3 occasions people dropped glasses and smashed them around the pool area one of them being at the kids pool.

Room Tip: Dont go to this hotel

This hotel has its pros and its cons and really they counterbalance one another. Having to pay extra for the fridge and air-conditioning plus other things like a safe box (which doesnt cost money to run in my experience) tended to wind us up a little, to the level in which we refused to pay for the air-con. Further to this, their special nights (whilst quite entertaining) do go on LATE (maybe an issue for those with children) and whilst everyone else on here seems to moan about the noise from the Mosque, which didn't wake either of us or annoy us, the karaoke until 2am did grate on us. Aside from this though, it is spotlessly clean, reasonably priced for food, drink and market essentials and has a large pool with two water slides which really makes hanging around in the hotel quite a pleasant experience. Overall we think for a 2 star hotel it's about as good as you're going to get, facilities wise, they are just in need of some fine-tuning to make sure everyone is comfortable when they stay here. Breakfast was again, good. Gazipasa Hotel seems to serve its purpose, it just doesn't go the whole hog and try to excel itself. Staff are friendly and helpful, and realistically we would probably come back, I would just like to see some of that fine-tuning, but perfectly good for the money, you wouldn't get much more I don't think.

Room Tip: Aim for the far side of the hotel for sun, and the near side for shady balconies. We heard that the...

M E H M E T! Our review as promised!
The staff at Gazipasa are the hotel's biggest asset. Always cheery, always friendly, Mehmet especially is alwaysto be seen with a spring in his step. Colleagues Simon and Murak add to a great team who remember all guests by name and who provide superb service. The hotel is clean, the room was simply furnished but not lacking anything, the pool excellent, as was the bar/restaurant, the friendly chef (also Mehmet!), helpful and knowledgeable reception staff (especially about Turkish Tea - thanks) and the speciality entertainment evenings. The pool is the cleanest and best-kept I have seen, and the plants and trees everywhere are beautiful.
We wanted a relaxing holiday and found everything we wanted was within reach, including the restaurant at the nearby Bazaar.
Thanks again, all, from Rachel and Rob.

Room Tip: Ask for what you want and they will try to accommodate you. A/C costs extra, as does a fridge and sa...

Well what can i say an absolute fantastic holiday! We arrived at the hotel and was immediately welcomed by the staff at reception and cook and butler, we arrived late but was still told we would be able to have a meal and choose out of the menu for no extra charge (you dont usually get this and i have travelled a lot)! Once we were shown our room we headed to the bar restaurant for a meal and was introduced to all the staff there. Simon, Burock and Mehmet were excellent staff and worked on such little sleep and were always happy and went out of their way for you every day!
Hotel room, ours was 622 in the back through the gardens it was huge with two big balconys, air con, kettle, hob, fridge and cutlery and plates etc. Room was huge and very clean we had a seperate living area and bedroom which was nice, rooms and bathroom cleaned daily and beds and towels made and changed everyday with a beautiful towel design on them!
Pool area, absolutly spotless and well maintained, pool man checked the three pools regularly and the slides were pretty good! We choose the spot in the left hand corner it was the last place the sun went in from and it was nice and chilled!
Bar and restaurant, always some good funny crack going on, we were half board and so got our evening meal and breakfast. Breakfast consisted of bread, toast, cereals, jams, salads, nutella, fresh fruit, hams, cheeses, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, omlettes etc and full cooked breakfast for a small extra charge, all lovely and fresh! Evening meal was always lovely we got a menu to choose from with lots of different options on which was lovely as usually its buffet and being a fussy eater i dont get much choice, however their was too much choice for me and the food was suberb and always piping hot! You could order throughout the day it was a little bit more than restaurants outside the hotel, which you expect with hotels but not an obseen amount like england just a few leira but food always came promptly and hot and a good amount, beef stew was beautiful!
Staff, bar staff and cleaners excellent always happy and couldnt do enough for you. The little english the butler new he would try his best to conversate and was always happy! The owners two daughter behind reception were absolutly lovely and was very friendly and accommodating. Owner and his wife were lovely sometimes but quiet other times but other wise were nice!
Communal areas, clean tidied and well maintained for, free wifi in public areas with great reception i could use all round the pool area bar and everywere. They had a tv room also. They also played the matches on the big screens and had a good atmosphere! The hotel puts a free bus on too and from the beach for free which was nice! Hotel also has a spa and massage part and my fella loved the turkish massage
resort area, side is lovely and is a nice resort, shops in abundance and supermarkets. The restaurant over the road in precinct was lovely and very cheap with the lovely waitress july! The dolmus run regularly too and from the centre and barely cost anything! May need a taxi if you suffer with walking as its very rough and cobbled terrain!

Excellent holiday loved it and will be returning thanks gazipasa, also looking at some reviews from people who previously stayed at the Lemus, we stayed the same time as this couple and find some people are far to fussy....the music didnt pound at all and you didnt have to pay for everything plus it was a nice hotel and very friendly people if you actually want to talk to people!

Thanks gazipasa what a lovely hotel made many friends here

Room Tip: Try to get a room in 600s there huge and spacious through the gardens with seperate bedrooms and lov...

We got a cheap deal and had no idea what to expect but the room was large and comfortable. Everything was very clean and the cleaner was charming. She came in every day and when we were having a lie down one morning, offered to come back later. The breakfasts were lovely! Mind, I like an olive at any time of day. The boys were serving breakfast, on the bar all day and still smiling at 3am with it being the World Cup. The food was more expensive then elsewhere but really nice! The hammam was AWESOME! I had been worried about visiting one but it was right in the hotel so I was reassured. It was about £20 for a massage you'd pay £50 for at home! Yes, there were extras like the fridge and a kettle but you were never pressured into getting them. We'd be back in a heartbeat!
