“Not All Inclusive, Not 4 star not for British....”
Reviewed 19 April 2012

Came back from one week holiday at this resort and I now understand why there were not many reviews written..... No English speaking people goes there. We were the only family in the hotel who spoke english other than some of the entertainment staff who spoke a little bit, the bloke who was at reception spoke no english. The place was little Germany, two ladies booked in with us and left for another hotel the next day. No one to help with the suitcase

Food --- Was ok if you like potatoes and egg for breakfast, lunch and dinner was again drab with potatoes, rice and meatballs every day. There were some type of fish that had more bones than fish. Tables were always dirty unless you went when the restaurant opens - they do not change the table cloth when a family gets up
Drinks.... Tang, orange tango, 7up and coke. White wine, red wine, effes lager turkish gin and whisky. That was it for an all inclusive that is ridiculous. I went at 10:01 to get a cup of hot chocolate for my little girl and was told I had to pay for it. All In finished at 10pm. Breakfast finished at 9:30, lunch is 12:15 - 1:30, Dinner 6:15 - 8:30 and thats it. You had to pay for ice cream and to use pool table etc. Mini fridge again you had to pay for stock used.
The wait service was very attentive and remembered what drink you had not that there is much to remember really.

Rooms----- I paid £80.00 extra for a family room which is a single bed put into a double room. However rooms were clean. One day no towels were left in the room and I could not be bothered asking for any so we used our beach towels.

Entertainment.... The Michael Jackson show was good but that was it I didnt bother after kids disco was over. Nothing to do during the day, be careful sending your child to kids club minimal supervision there. My six year old left looking for me and I did not know, she took the lift by herself to the 5th floor and not a word from theone lady looking after 15 children. Another time I saw that the minder had left the kids for about 20 minutes by themselves and gone only Godknows where You do have to pay if you want your child to do any art work 7-15 euro at a time. The entertainment team is forever selling something.

Excursions ---- went on the boat trip as well as the cabrio bus tour. The bus tour was so tiring as they stop everywhere trying to get us to buy something. The transfer back to the airport also stop for us to buy things. uuuhhh
Did the 15 minutes free treatment at the hotel which is a ploy to get you to spend loads of money. The guy told my 13 year old daughter she had a short leg so they will need to do a treatment massage to correct this rubbish. Told us 120eu for both of us however paid 40eu for this on the beach which included them sending transport to and from the hotel. I also bought my excursions from the man on the beach.

Turkey was really nice, eating out very expensive, market a nightmare, men flirthy, hotel is full board not all in, not worth the money I paid and would not goback even if it was for free. Iwould go back to turkey but another resort.

Just back from holiday and after reading the reviews before going, expected better than we found. Rather jaded and tired hotel, needs updating - when it rained water came through the lounge ceiling, and into the lift. The hotel is kept clean and tidy otherwise. Staff were friendly and helpful and spoke some English but the guests are mainly German, Russian or Dutch. The food was disappointing - its fine if you like everything boiled to death in runny liquid or meatballs as these were on at every meal, both lunchtimes and nights- we prefer something with some taste but it seems quantity rather than quality seems to be the order of the day. Entertainment team wouldn't make the X Factor auditions - the effort was minimal. As the holiday was classed as winter season the all inclusive finished at 10pm not 11 pm as expected. Also they want to charge for other things you would expect to be included - take your own beach towels - they don't provide these free of charge - its €5 per towel per week per person. Pool tables €5/hour, Internet €5/hour, Icecream is charged for along with fresh orange jiuce at breakfast. Take care if you accept the free 15 minute massage it's a ploy to get you to spend lots of money on 'treatments' you need to put you right!!!! - quoted €200 each for 4 sessions. Air conditioning/heaters in rooms are switched off during the day. Wouldn't recommend this hotel to our friends but its up to you to decide, we liked Turkey but would choose a 5 star in future.

Room Tip: If you go in summer would advise you ask for room not overlooking the pool as the disco is on that s...

We had a great time,As we speak English and not many pepole did there,The hotel was great we went all inc,The rooms were very nice,The staff were great,They could not do enough to make you feel so welcome. We would 110% go again there. You had so many choices with the food there. You have got a shuttle bus to take you to the beach if you like,But we walked as its not that far.You dont have to rush back from the beach to the hotel for dinner,As there is a place on the beach where they do you food and drinks aswell,There are shops in the hotel to get what you want and a few as you go to the beach,If you walk that is,There is a bus that takes you in to side which will cost you 1 euro each.Or a taxi for 11 euro. Its bests to go by bus as its not far to travel. Not much for kids there tho,They have 2 swimming pools.Things can be just as cheap in the UK tho as we found out..Eating out can be dear aswell so need to check out the hidden cost what they might have.ask first.,The other thing is the excusion take drinks with you as it can be dear,Cost us £4 for to cans of coke,Also they stop everywhere to spend your money.Market well you can haggle with them but still cheaper in the UK i find. The cleaner was great as she done a very good job,,

Room Tip: dont have a room on the swimming pool side as thats the side of the dico, live muisc.apart from that...

We arrived at the hotel and received a trouble free check in.
The room we stayed in was clean and of fair size having a kingsize bed and bunkbeds for our children.
It has two pools one relaxing pool and one entertainment/ slide pool, which the children (and us) enjoyed!
The hotel staff were helpful and pleasent as were the animation team who worked very hard and were a great bunch.
Having stayed there for seven nights the entertainment that we seen was of high standard compared to other hotels we have been to (the kids loved the Jackson and the fire show).
The food was great and plentyful in the resturant and the snack bar.
The beach is about a 500m walk away but it is a pleasant walk down a nice pathway with shops along. Linda Hotel also has its own beach bar there.
We were the only English family but one there at the time but this was no problem as the other guests spoke English and were very polite.
On whole our stay at Linda Hotel was a very pleasant one and great value for money and would like to say thankyou to to animation team who really made us feel welcome.

there was a wide selection of food and i believe the hotel tried to cater for all tastes. the rooms were clean but no as large as they appeared on various websites. the staff spoke very limited english but as the guests were mainly german this was understandable. my son loved the waterslides but they were only available for around three hours each day. i did have aproblem with the noise at night as there would be music blaring out until 2 in the morning which is not ideal when travelling with children. the hotel was 10km from side and not 5 as is staed on various websites. on the whole we had a lovely holiday but would not stay at this hotel simply because it was too far from any restaurants etc.

Am basing my review on our excellent deal with Travel Republic, and value for money.
Hotel is AI (not normally our choice), and we stayed 4 nights, having arrived there under our our own steam, via a few nights in nearby Side.
Linda Hotel is mid sized with 230 or so rooms. It's situated NEAR (5 minute walk) the beach mid-way between Side and Manavgat, both of which are served by regular dolmus @ 2TL each.
Reception fine, no problem either checking in or out.
Room was on 3rd floor (340) and at the quiet end of the corridor. Room was a decent size, comfortable queen size bed. Bathroom was fine, hot water 24/7, bath with over head shower (excellent water pressure).
Not many Brits at the hotel, no problem with that at all. Mainly Germans.
Food was excellent, with plenty of choice. Never saw anyone complain, and there looked to be plenty of healthy appetites!
Dining room very good.
Dining staff excellent, not fussy types who got on with their job quietly and happily, and were obviously well led by the Restaurant Manager, who was always around but never in the way.
Booze was fine, plenty of choice, and decent measures. Bar available 1000-2200, and people still moan!!
Indoor swimming pool not that big, limited hours, and populated mainly by youngsters.
Outdoor pool a reasonable size, looked well kept. Plenty of sunbeds, and I can imagine it gets very busy in season.
Animation Team were a keen lot, either love 'em or hate 'em. I suppose we tolerated them.
Too many kids running round, occasionally being a nuisance.
There wasn't much going on at night for adults other than sit and play cards or chat over a drink or three! There was something on in the Disco, early on other than the disco which came a bit later. We never went, but that was our choice.
Personally I think due to the size of the hotel, and the fact that it appeared very professionally run, I think it could easily be full all year round by adults only.
Overall, and considering what we paid we got exceptional value for money. Would we return to the Linda? Only if it were made Adults Only.

Never been to Turkey before - went with open mind. Checken trip advisor and was a little worried by the comments. What a load of rubbish. Hotel was full of Germans but, so what? Had a ball. Staff at hotel are very nice. Food was excellent - good choice. If we needed to know what was there the chefs were more than happy to help translate. Ozi - the DJ was brilliant and the entertainment staff (things going on 3 days weekly in the winter). Health and fitness centre was georgous. Very professional and so relaxing. On the whole very good value for money. Good sightseeing if you want to leave the hotel.
