I can only say positive things about this hotel. The staff were friendly, hard working and did all they could to make our stay perfect. The cabins or cottages as out little one called them were cleaned frequently . Always a treat left, eg towel sculptures or flowers scattered on the bed or both. These extremely hard working ladies always had a smile for you.
The food was intersting and varied. We never got bored with it. so much choice and always well cooked.
The bar staff were efficient, no long waits in a queue for drinks. I highly reccommend the Cleopatra bar. Absolutely beautiful place for drinks before going to dinner and before bed at the end the of the evening.
From immediately outside the hotel there is history to be seen all around which makes the short walk to the town very interesting, the ampitheatre is atmospheric and awesome. The ruins by the sea in town were spectacular particularly at night. Anthony and Cleopatra apparently met here for their secret liasons.
The swimmimg pool was always clean and very welcoming. You have to get out early to pick your sun lounger though. Towels left out the night before were removed by staff, this was good as it gave everyone the choice in the morning.
The private beach is small but nice. I didnt use it prefering the poolside but heard no complaints from anyone who did use it.
The small on site shop is run by a lovely lady who gave me a kettle to use becuse I am an early riser and missed my pre breakfast cuppa. I think she brought it from her home, she also supplied some coffee. That is service !!!
The entertainment team also dserve credit, working all the hours of the day, they provided night life for the party crowd. They even took younger teenagers to see outside entertinment, looked after them and brought them home sober safe and sound.
Fabulous holiday, enjoyed by us olds 45-50 yrs, my kids 25-30yrs and grandaughter 5yrs

This hotel is the perfect holiday for anyone wanting to have a quiet relaxing time. The bungalows are far better than staying in a high rise apartment block with hundreds of people walking up and down corridors all night they were set in peaceful gardens and it was lovely waking up and looking out onto rows of lemon, orange ,apple and lime trees, I think the only set back to the bungalows was the fact that there wasn't much space to hang clothes but that was the only thing . The bungalow was well equipped and included a mini fridge which was stocked twice weekly with bottles of water and cola and there was a hair dryer in the bathroom.
The hotel restaurant was extremely clean and the waiter service was excellent there is also an outside sea front restaurant if you like to eat your meals outdoors but you have to take the food outside yourself.
The food was good if you like casseroles and salads but was very repetative by the end of the fortnight my partner and I decided to eat out and I have to say that the fillet steak at the leda beach restaurant was the best I have ever tasted anywhere, this is left as you exit through the hotel restaurant on the beach front.
The hotel is situated on the beach so is ideal for beach lovers and the sea is wonderful very clean and shallow you can walk out quite a way before it gets too deep to stand up. Also just a way out there are a colony of turtles and boat trips come to look at them but they are not allowed to come too near because this side of the beach is a conservation area.
The best bar was the beach bar which opened from 10 til 6 then again fom 11 til midnight we found that this was the only bar that didn't seem to water down the drinks as much as the others, try the raki it is very good Ali the barman at the beach bar was very friendly and even though he didn't speak much English we seemed to make conversation with him and we tried to speak a bit of Turkish which seemed to please him. There were not many English at this resort but that didn't matter because everyone tried to make an effort to get along and the universal language of a nod and a smile to each other in the mornings made it a pleasant place to stay.
A word of warning if you go into Antique Side which is a right turn out of the front of the hotel, you can't walk anywhere without being pestered to come here, look at this are you English so if you don't like that sort of thing don't come here, they aren't nasty about it but it can be a bit off putting.
All in all if you like a quiet holiday and you enjoy history this is the right place to be because this hotel is literally smack bang in the middle of all the roman ruins and people pay to come on trips here and I have to say that Antique Side is a very special holiday resort and I will definately return one day.

Best all-inc hotel I have stayed in. Rooms cleaned every day and sheets/towles changed everyday too. Staff very friendly and always approachable. Animation team were great, reallly made the holiday special. Food was also good and always able to get good service. Watch a theatre show "Fire of Anatolia" excellant show although confusion getting back to your coach as bus drivers over there dont seem to stop if they see you. Went to local market and Mavagatt river which was also a good day trip with Thompson. This area in Turkey is nothing like your typical Bodrum, locals do NOT pester you to buy things and intimidate you, so it was great! Beach also 10min walk or you can get a free bus up the road every hour. They accept all currency - Euro, Lira or Sterling. Would definately be visiting this hotel again! Thanks Can Garden! :)

What can I say - avoid this place like the plague.

They were advised specifically that this was our honeymoon - we weren't expecting (or hoping) for champagne and flowers when we turned up, but to be stuck in the worst of the garden sheds, next to the kids pool (being woken at 6am each morning to the sounds of the maids scraping loungers along the floor to clean them, idiots using the waterslides, generally noisy and unable to relax), took the mickey a little.

On the second from last day were were there (after the heavy rain - which was no-one's fault), I discovered two rodent droppings in the bathroom. Apart from that the room was clean, although the beds were like slabs of concrete with wafer thin pillows. I assumed that the incredibly bad weather may have forced a mouse into the room for the night and said nothing to the wife who freaked out when she discovered a large ant.

That night (or the following morning at 1am), she woke me due to the noise in the bathroom - it turns out that a very large biscuit had been dropped through the slats in the roof and onto the floor - this was nothing we had had to eat, so it must have been brought in from outside. Reception sent someone with a large stick who couldn't speak a word of English to deal with it (I assume he was going to beat it to death).

He took one look on top of the bathroom roof, and ran out of the cabin, with someone else eventually returning who also could not speak English. We were then moved to a different cabin which was of an astonishingly better standard.

I found out the next morning that my wife had heard scratching noises EVERY NIGHT that were there, but put this down to the branches of the trees over the cabin touching the roof when the wind blew as it was so gentle.

However, apart from the fact that I got no sleep due to the uncomfortable beds and constant noise, I would say that the food was good and the staff were polite and helpful. Fitness suite is a bit of false advertising - there is a treadmill that doesn't work properly, some free weights, an ancient stepper, and a bike that has the hardest seat in the world.

Equally, the male hairdresser gave me the worst Turkish shave in the world, so much so that I had to shave later that afternoon.

The shop on site was ridiculously overpriced, and it was cheaper to pop out the back and go to the Arena Market instead which was about half the price.

All in all, if you want a relaxing holiday, free of vermin, you'd be better off staying at home

I do not think i can think of many faults for this hotel, if you want a quite relaxing holiday this is the place to come ( except when were there ) the hotel staff are just wonderful, and the food was pretty good, There is always something for eveyone. The bungalows you stay in are very clean and well maintained all the rooms were low level with no high rise concrete buildings, the beach is just out side the grounds and the shops are within walking distance, There are plenty of places to eat out if you just want to get away from the complex, The only two down sides we can think of is the pool is all one depth just under 6ft also you have to move around if you want drinks because the bars do close at certain times, but on the whole we loved every moment of our holiday. So , where do i begin, the location of the hotel is great as it is just far enough away from the main town of Side not to be disturbed by the noise, but close enough to walk into.
The room we stayed reminded me of a large garden shed, i know this is not what all the rooms are like but i admit i did expect better for the rating. The food was on the whole ok, some days the the freshly cooked meats etc, were very good, only to be let down by some of the pre prepared stuff. The pool looked a bit bigger in the pictures, but it served its purpose and was on the whole clean and suprisingly warm. The entertainment during the day was the same all week you could tell time by it, which was a shame, much as i enjoyed the water polo, it did all seem too linear. The evening entertainment was the usual mini disco,(where do they get that CD from it has followed me across the globe!!!) followed by a show from the annimation team, who to their credit do work very hard all day. One of the things that i found a bit annoying was the times the bars opened and closed, some seemed to shut before they were meant to, which meant if you wanted to carry on the evening you had to move from one bar to another, also watch out for watered down drinks and some guests discovered.
If you want to make the most out of staying here you really have to make an effort and meet people which really makes the rest of the bad things kind of seem insignificant, so i thank the Barmy army for making our holiday one to remember for ther good things.
