I stayed here in October with husband and three children. Sidekum is a five star hotel, which is not actually five star in Western terms, but I was positively surprised by the outstanding service (I guess they've changed owner in the last couple of years), the cleanliness, the wide range of good food and the fun animation team. The personnel does their best to make you feel comfortable. If I have to say one negative point, it would be that I missed some kind of playground (in-or outside) for (small) children in the evening. The animation team is finished at five pm, so before or during dinner time, when grown-ups eat, there is not so much to do for children. At 20:45 there was the mini-disco, which was a lot of fun. In the basement there is a warm swimming pool, which was nice to warm up on colder days (October).

-- Short review: Good food, clean rooms and good value for your money. You can eat all day, drink all day and swim all day :-) Rooms are daily cleaned with fresh towels, bed linnen is changed once a week. Airco only works with the room key and goed off when you open the door or window. Staff mostly speaks German or Turkish, their english is poor. Hardly any russians in the hotel which will please some of us :-) Beach bar is very good and they also serve food over there! We arrived at 2am and received food before we went to bed which was nice!! They have 2 pools, other one is across the street but it connects with a tunnel so very easy to get there.

-- Long review: we arrived at 2am and got a room + food in one of the 3 side buildings. Room was very small with a very small bathroom. Overall condition not very good but we paid little so we expected little. It was VERY hot in the room and the airco worked for 2 minutes and then went off and back on and back off... I guess the temperature sensor was broken. Found some ants near the door and a dead grasshopper. I don't blame them because there is nothing around the hotel so it's had to keep insects away in these areas. But I went to the reception to ask for a spray (which I got) and they offered to change the room in the morning.

We got a call at 10am that the new room was ready, it was in the main building and much better. Bigger and a bathroom thet you can use with 2 persons. Airco was working perfectly so we were happy, they solved it fast en properly!! We always used the small pool near the Alice bar; it seems they have staff problems because the first 2 days the bar staff was very rude when we asked a drink. The 3th day the bar didn't went open untill 11am when the manager arrived (happened 2 days) and the 4th day the lady fainted in the afternoon because whe was ill. Staff for dinner and in other bars was friendly but that Alice Bar seems to have a bad curse over it :-)

The food is good and they grill fish or meat in front of you. Staff is friendly and you get your drinks pretty fast. Same for the beach bar where you can also eat, about 10min walk but there is a shuttle bus if needed. Hotel has free internet in the lobby, I must warn you that it is very slow but you're not on holiday to surf the web all day long ;)

Beer is Efes and drinkable, cocktails are not very good because each bartender makes his own version. Water comes from 50cl bottles so it's safe to drink! There is a towel service but you need to bring your towel back before 19u or they complain or make silly jokes which is a pitty. One time it was 19u05 and they also complained.

Rooms are spotless, the maids do a very good job. Every day fresh towels and they also change the bed linnen. Very good beds and each room has a flatscreen TV with HDMI connection. (on the back) Walls a bit thin so you hear quite some noise when guests are loudy but it didn't bother us from sleeping!!

One big negative point that bothers quite some guests is the mini club that starts around 20u. Dinner is till 21u and you cannot hear each other any more during dinner if you sit outside because the music is too loud.

It's 5* for Turkey but more 4* in Europe. Good quality for money and they do their best. Needs a bit of finetuning to make it 5* worthy but we had a very nice holiday!! Manager is everywhere and also works if needed, there is lady at guest selection that helps you if you have issues or questions. It's about 1 hour drive from Antalya airport

The hotel is clean, service friendly and food selection excellent. Hotel consists of the main building and across the street accessible by a tunnel is another area with suites situated around their own pool - we stayed here.

This hotel has recently changed it's name (that says it all) it used to be called Hotel Alice. We went All Inc to this 4* resort! It was the worst holiday I ever had. The receptionist spoke Turkish and German and we then found out so did everyone else! The food was dreadful!!! Everybody complained about it. We did meet some lovely German and Dutch couples and they were distraught with the hotel. It was so run down and old. We had to have the door lock changed as it wouldn't shut properly, the electricity constantly went off, the air con never worked the whole two weeks. We ended up buying Nutella from the very expensive shop on the site so the kids could have bread and spread for breakfast. The breakfast, as with all the meals, were buffet style and it was usually sour milk with stale cereal or fresh bread and eggs. The lunch was salads, meats and fresh bread (everything swimming in oil). The evening meal was meats and salads all swimming in oil. For some reason there was pasta everyday for lunch and dinner and it was so overcooked it was stuck together and absolutely awful. I know I sound terrible but I just cannot think of one nice thing to say except that the steak house at the bottom of the road was great (you'll meet all the guests from the hotel there as we did)!! Please do not book this dreadful place, Faulty Towers is a safer bet. I have since been to Italy, Holland, Tunisia & Greece and they were wonderful and really were 4* resorts. This Alice Hole was about a 2*!!! Sorry (how British I'm apologising for being honest)!!
