Kusudasi, well that was the gem in our travels in Turkey. It took my wife and I just 1 day to decide we wanted to stay more, there is absolutely so many things to do while you are there.

And to top it all off we had a great hotel experience in the Hotel Villa Fortin.

I'll start this review with the only small negative point, our room didn't have a tv but then I didn't care and neither did my wife, we came for a holiday, not to sit in our room to watch tv, and best of all it was so STUPIDLY!!! cheap that I still can't believe it.

And if you think cheap is crap, you are wrong in this case.

The hotel is run by 3 brothers (and their parents take care of day to day cleaning), they are the most helpful, nice, guys and they go over the top to help you with any issue you have. Example I rented a car one day and I didn't know how to get around, and one of the brothers said I'll lend you a map, he got so carried away in helping me I ended up walking away with 4 different maps for the same area haha!.

Rooms are clean and they are cleaned every day, the toilet was clean, and best of all the have a pool!.

Drink and food are now allowed in the hotel from outside, but thats okay since the brothers run a good bar with food, snacks and drinks. And there is always a great social life downstairs in the outdoor area.

Wifi is only available outside in the reception/bar area but that was fine, it didn't bother me.

Breakfast was good for what we paid. Well to tell you the truth I'm amazed they offer breakfast at all for the price you pay a day for your room. So that made me like them more, they really respected and took care of their guests.

Take my advise for the price you get this hotel, you will forget your worries and enjoy tons more day trips like my wife and I did.

Highly recommended.

Room Tip: They have only 4 rooms with air con, and only half the rooms have air con, make sure to ask for them...

On recommendation of friends of ours we stayed at Villa Fortin in September 2011 and despite enjoying previous holidays in Mexico and Dominican Republic all inclusive luxury nothing compared to our stay in this hotel. We have stayed in numerous hotels across europe but it is the only holiday we have had that from day 1 to the last day we have thoroughly enjoyed. From the minute you arrive the fortin family make you feel welcome, the room they gave us was very clean and spacious. The hotel itself was always kept clean including the pool area which despite being surrounded by residential flats was a gorgeous sun trap all day. I have read reviews about people finding the noise from the mosque irritating - all i can say is guess what you are in TURKEY .. they have mosques which is a part of their culture it is not ENGLAND ... it is beyond me that people expect to stay in another country and not experience the local culture!!

As a base the hotel is in an excellent position to enjoy any type of holiday you want e.g. walking distance to dolmus station and 10 minutes from wonderful beaches, round the corner from numerous bars, shops etc and the spectacular harbour. When returning from a night out on foot we stumbled upon a pre wedding celebration and was invited to the wedding the next day (due to the language barrier unfortunately we could not find the venue) but the kind invite made our holiday.

The hotel sell lovely food and very reasonable prices and our eating out experiences just got better and better at the local Turkish cafes dotted around the corner. It was amazing how cheap it was to eat especially local Turkish food it is the first time we actually went home with money in our pockets...

I would recommend this hotel to everyone and loved it so much we have just booked for 3 weeks later this year and cannot wait........ Linda & Stephen Andersen

p.s. don't tell anyone about it.... I would hate for it to get so popular it was always full!

We stayed here from the 28th May to 4th June 2012 - was a little worried as it was so cheap, but delighted with the hotel, its only small but the rooms were immaculate and the family very friendly. We were mainly the only ones round the pool which was nice. It is a little walk into town but only 10 to 15 mins. The sandwiches on the snack menu are huge and well worth the price - there are two great restaurants near by Bulbul and also a kebab place on the corner where we got kebabs for 2.5 lira - bargin.

The only think I would say, is that the breakfast is a little sparce - we are used to basic breakfasts but would have liked say more cheese and salami as the only cheese provided was soft cheese in small sachets. Eggs are served every other day.

But all in all an amazing hotel for the price, lovely gardens as well with statues and pretty flowers.

Highly recommended

This is a really great little hotel in a convenient location run by the wonderful Fortin family. The rooms are basic but very clean with fresh towels and sheets daily. Th facilities are good, nice bar and good value basic food menu. The very best part of your stay here is the Fortin family. Nothing is too much trouble, they are all great fun and will advise you about places to go, how to get there etc... They really care for their guests and deserve the excellent reputation they have. The location is great because it is only a short walk from town in a nice quiet location but no more then 5 minutes from the dolmush station (local buses) where for a small fare you can get a bus to any of the many beaches - we liked Silver Sands best, the chairs have massive mattresses to relax in the sun on.
The first time we went we loved it and have been back several times. Our daughter and her husband went on honeymoon there this year and were treated wonderfully.
Would always recommend this for a great holiday.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have air conditioning, so if that's important to you do ask. If your room doesn...

Our visit to Villa Hotel Fortin was most enjoyable, friendly, helpfull staff. Being family run, it was more intimate and welcoming. The rooms were clean with regular laundering throughout our stay. The breakfasts were healthy and wholesome with local produce. The hotel is very well situated. All we can say is thank you for making our say so enjoyable. Rob and Helen from Aberdeen, Scotland
