“Pretty view of the Aegean.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 November 2013

Stayed here for two nights as part of a Gate 1 tour. Pool area is nice and it has a great view. This property is rated as a 5 star. It is definitely NOT a 5 star by Western standards. November is the start of their winter season. So the air conditioning is turned off and the rooms were very warm, even with the windows opened. The rooms are very noisy and with the tour our rooms were facing the road and the front entrance of the hotel. So you can hear people talking and cars arriving. My pillow was stained. The rooms they give the guests traveling with the tour companies are probably not the best ones. On the plus side, the dinner and breakfast buffet were very good with lots of choices. Our waiter, Harlan, was very entertaining and gave us great service.

We had a amazing time at the Korumer in August, amazing hotel..amazing food best dinners ever!! Chinese most night and lovely and fresh. If you eat early you do have to queue abit to get the hot food selection but wasn't too bad calmed down pretty quickly, some nights had trouble getting a table for 6 of us that's why we went early. Breakfast could do with a few more chefs to do eggs selection separately queue was always for omelettes but had to join if u wanted fried eggs !! Still a great selection of fruit breads n cereals but no sausages or bacon but that's Turkey for you!! More selection of juices needed may I add!! Only orange or water and for a 5 star hotel bit disappointing as 4 star hotels have this on offer
you just expect abit more on
offer when u are staying 5 star!! Lunch was lovely at the snack bar lots of choice does get busy tho need more tables but found the service fine.
This hotel has amazing views best ever seen!! Just want to say we had a lovely time would defo go back people were friendly to my kids as this is stated as more for adults the kids loved it had most of the pool to themselves in the morning and it was peak summer!! We had mountain view and after reading all the reviews about sea view rooms I'm actually glad we didn't not because we didn't want the views it's because the suns on your room in the morning but cooler in the afternoon so perfect for the kids not too hot!! Temperatures reached 40c most days but my kids were fine it wasn't at all bad due to the sea breeze that comes in it was bearable. Kids entertainment and adults was ok just no bar right next to stage so had to keep walking back to snack bar had to take in turns to watch the kids as right next to pool!! See u again Korumer!!

We booked a package with Thomas Cook and we really cannot fault this hotel! The room was a good size and spotlessly clean with a free safe and plenty of channels on the Satellite TV. The Dining Room was spacious and well run providing a huge choice of beautifully prepared food to suit all palates!! The bread was so fresh. The staff were attentive and courteous.
The position and facilities of this hotel must be the best in Kusadasi. We had a lovely time. Thank You!!

Room Tip: Advise a sea view room. We didn't have one but would next time.

This large hotel has extensive gardens and paths which merit exploration. Our room seemed tired and in need of sprucing up - stained carpet and some mould on bathroom tiles. However, the sea views made up for that and the room was adequate in size and the free, fast WiFi was much appreciated. Food in the restaurant was really rather mass catering in style, but adequate. Service was good, especially the most helpful reception staff. The town is easily accessed by low cost public mini-buses with a stops at the roadside just above the hotel. They were much more economical than taxis which of course are available, but more touristy. The hotel has several swimming pools and a fitness centre which we unfortunately didn't have enough time to explore.

We stayed for two weeks 7th to 21st Oct and overall this hotel has really good points but certain areas let it down badly DINING ROOM at meal times is nothing short of a melee...guests wandering around looking for a table, used crockery left when guests have gone so it looks as though someone is still using it, ,staff leaving these used tables too long before clearing, breakfast coffee staff wandering around with jugs when tables need clearing, queues at the bread station, Tang juice!!! why no proper juice its a 5star hotel isn't it, maitre d"s wandering around looking official but doing nothing at all, even when you find a table and put your room card or purse on theres no guarantee its yours ....why not table allocation at the start of the hol and then its yours or has the hotel not got enough tables for this...management need to get this sorted we spoke to others who refused to eat at normal times because of the dining situation..We had some bad weather which stopped the outside seating area being used...then it turned to bedlam...far too many guests in one place too few staff to try to see to people...we used the two a la carte restaurants several times rather than face the chaos in the dining room!! FOOD.. generally good but why McFries with everything...if they can sauté potatoes for breakfast why cant they boil or mash some for evening dinner?????The roasts are good ie turkey duck chicken, theres always a stew of some sort ie veal or chicken, noodles and more noodles Salads are ok....puds are gorgeous Breakfast is salads/ cereal/ fruit /omelettes and fried egg stations plus the obligatory queue for the bread to toast!!! The a la carte food is sensational and service superb you pay but its worth it...Charlie Special steak was excellent and I loved the fish restaurant...well worth the money. ROOMS Sea view is worth paying for room clean and adequately sized however the table and chair is a waste of space put a set of drawers in cos theres only 3 tiny drawers in room ,air con good , plenty wardrobe and hanging space, bathroom looked a bit tired, fridge replenned daily with pop beer and water if AI, free safe, we kept cases on balcony as nowhere for them. .cleaners are 100% POOL AND BEACH areas ...plenty beds plenty towels ..immaculately clean, good staff service , food the norm burgers omellets tuna sandwiches always with those McFries why why why....oh and if you order soup and a burger or soup with anything expect it all at once...you don't get soup first like we expect There is no beach only cement jetties with sunbeds etc ...no good for children at all water is too deep and nothing for them to do also pool area is tiny for kids No entertainment when we were there probably as its Oct Nights are quite boring in the hotel bars as everyone now is glued to their Ipads Iphones etc is the art of conversation dead!!!!???Not many English guests all Dutch and Germans and staff have limited English but they are lovely A dolmus No 1 at the door will take you to Kusadasi for 2.75 Don't buy things in Kusadasi when the liners are in ...robbery!! We went to Ladies Beach for 2.50 which is lovely just a ride away HOTEL SHOPS ..hopeless one jewellery and one souvenir DRINKS low quality local spirits ,beer ok, wine was really good This hotel has everything going for it on certain aspects but why is classed as deluxe when really its an ordinary hotel with certain facilities which the ordinary holiday maker doesn't need ie executive lounge etc Its mainly occupied by older folk who seem to meet up year after year at the same times which if that's what you want then this hotel is for you.

Room Tip: we were 6th floor sea view ..breathtaking

Stayed for one week mid-October 2013. Travelled with Thomson, all inclusive. Went with the £70 upgrade to a sea view room. Well worth it. The inland view is nothing to write home about, think they describe it as a Mountain View room, think that is stretching the description somewhat!!!

The hotel itself is clean and tidy, nothing fancy but pleasant enough and certainly nothing to complain about. The accommodation is again better than basic and clean and tidy. The lifts I have seen mentioned negatively on here, there are two small ones that are a bit slow and go to all floors, and there was normally quite a wait to get into one. There is however a much larger and faster lift, just to the left, that virtually no one seemed to use, no idea why it’s just around the corner of the other two. It does not go down to floor -1 which is where the restaurant and pool access is. So save yourself waiting and being crushed in the two small lifts and use the one on its own and walk up or down one flight of marble stairs.

Food is by a buffet arrangement for all meals. There is plenty of choice, large salad area, no real premium items to be had, but in our week there was Quail, Duck and Beef on separate evenings. There seemed to quite a few variations on Turkey for the rest. All more than edible but for my taste rather bland, so just went to the salad bar for various spicy bits to add a bit of life to my meals. The breads need a mention as they were excellent. Too order cooked omelettes and fried eggs in the morning were available from the hot area.

Drink, the Red/White/Rose Wine and Beer (Tuborg) were all more than drinkable and we did not feel the need to go of the All Inclusive list for any of our drinks.

The pool area is large and had plenty of room around it while we were there. The what they call the beach area is in fact a very small rocky beach with large pier areas to the left and right of the glass lift that takes you down there, again plenty of sunbeds and brollies if required. It’s a very pleasant spot and we spent most of our daytimes down there.

All in all, this proved to be an enjoyable break. Can only be described as excellent value for money. We would most definitely consider returning again in the future for a relaxed week in the sun.

The weather for the time of year was better than expected, lost one full day and two half days of lounging around outside, rest of the time it was mid to high twenties with a reasonable breeze blowing.

Room Tip: Go with the extra cost of a seaview room, Well worth it.

We spent two nights at this hotel as we visited Kusadasi, Aphrodisias, and Ephesus. The property sits on the Aegean Sea with a perfect view of the port. We acquired a nice suite with amazing views of the pool and the sea beyond. The suite was large, clean and very comfortable.

Our reservation status allowed us to use a private lounge for cocktails as well as a private breakfast room. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed and the breakfast was excellent. We also had access to what amounted to a rather private dining room for dinner that we shared with other guests. The food and service were excellent.

The hotel also offers a large dining area, downstairs for all guests and we attempted to eat there one evening. Upon arrival, we knew immediately that we had made a mistake. The room was large, noisy, filled with a huge variety of buffet items that were not very inviting. It was clearly an "all you can eat" buffet and we ran for the door. Many people seemed to be having a good time, but we immediately requested a table in more private dining room. We were seated very quickly and had a wonderful meal.

Service in this hotel was excellent and we really enjoyed the views.
