“Amazing view of the Aegean Sea”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 January 2014

Second stop on our Gate 1 tour and since it was off-season (December) half of the property was closed, however the place had enough staff to cover everybody's needs. Location is a bit off from the main town area, but since we basically came here to sleep only for two nights after long days of sightseeing (you CAN NOT miss Ephesus, the House of the Virgin Mary, and St. John's archeological site). Rooms were quite clean and the food was a solid 7, good selection and we particularly loved the made-to-order omelet every morning. The hotel has amazing views of the sea and a decent indoor pool. 20-25 minute walk to town in case you need to get some supplies from the liquor store.

We recently stayed with a party of friends in the Korumar Hotel over the Christmas period. This has been our best experience up to date. The hotel staff were friendly and accomodating and the level of English excellent from all managers and staff. The food was well above the average for an all inclusive package and was varied well cooked and always hot.The hotel rooms and indeed all of the hotel was warm and comfortable. The lifts were plentiful and always working. The staff continually replenished our drinks either at breakfast time or throughout the day and evening. The rooms are well sound proofed and had both showers and baths with hot water always plentiful. The indoor pool was warm and they have a well equipped gym.Entertainment was provided in the bar with a piano and there is also a large comfortable lounge adjoining it.The hotel boasts superb views across the bay and has steps down to the gardens and access to the sea where you can walk or just sit and enjoy the views in the fresh air. There is access to the sea but it isn't suitable for young children as the water is quite deep but perfect for enthusiastic sea lovers. However children are well catered for at the outdoor pool and indoor amenities. The wine was also of a much higher standard than the what's usually available and a variety of cocktails and local 'shorts' are also included.I literally could find no negative points to include in this review, and definately will be returning again.

Room Tip: All rooms have balconies but choose a room with a sea view roughly 50% as they are spectacular.

Stayed at the Korumar in October (2013) which was starting to come to the end of the season, which was perfect for us as it was just that little bit quieter.
It is most definitely worth getting a sea view, in fact essential, the view over the Aegean is fantastic and you get a great view down the coast, past the marina, through the town of Kusadasi and onto Pigeon Island. Most days one or two big cruise ships parked in the harbour and a nice sight to watch them leaving at twilight.

The hotel is spotless, always people cleaning it. There was only one restaurant open whilst we were there, as it was in wind-down, but that was great, loads of choice for all meals, standard fayre, salads, then a s special every night and a chef cooking other specials such as omelettes for breakfast as well. Really did have a good selection. Try and get a seat near the window, both breakfast and evenings, the views are great.

The pool area is nice, and the service from the pool staff was excellent, very attentive and if they saw you looking for a space, they were over like a shot and help you set up the lounger.

Food outside the restaurant was good as well, there was an area below the pool, where fresh Gozleme (pancakes) were made, practically all day !

In fact there are lots of "nooks and crannies" to this hotel, apart from the gozleme place, if you carried on down the steps towards the sea, there was another bar/restaurant and some great little places to lie out on the decking away from the pool area.

There isn't a beach as such and that is clear in the brochure, but to be honest the other facilities more than made up for this, there are so many places where you can lay out or sit, all within easy reach of a bar and snack/restaurant.

The rooms aren't massive but serviced every day and totally adequate, no tea and coffee in the room so you have to bring that back up with you. Though the mini bar is restocked every day and is covered by the all inclusive deal if that's what you buy.

The balcony is very small, just enough room for two chairs and a table, it would have been nice if this area was bigger especially for sitting out in the evening and watching the views over the harbour. But hey, you get these views downstairs at the bar as well.

If I have one gripe, I did find the bar staff to be a little less friendly than the other staff. They spent a lot of time chatting amongst themselves and with other staff.... no big deal but it often meant that you had to go and get your own drinks. Their attitude wasn't great either and one evening two of them told me off for moving chairs in the bar area !
But to repeat, all other staff were excellent, pool staff, room maids, reception, etc... all great.
Hence 4 stars below.

We loved the location as well, 15 - 20 minute walk from the centre of Kusadasi. OK going downhill and actually not too bad coming back but the Dolmus busses are excellent, every 10- 15 minutes about 60pence. The location was away from the hustle and bustle of the centre and gave great views over the town.

All-in-all a nice hotel to stay at, especially when we went, I can't say for high season but I expect it is pretty good then as well. A nice relaxing atmosphere, great location, great food...oh... drinks on the all inclusive are a bit limited and here again I'm afraid the bar staff weren't much help. After a few days it turned out my rum and coke was in fact some local brandy but they didn't tell me because they don't do rum ! so they kept it a secret !

I would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Only get a sea view

Especially aroma relaxing therapy message was nice for me. I wish to go there again as soon as possible...

Loved the location on the Aegean Sea. There are incredible views from the hotel. The room was adequate. Nothing spectacular at all. Four stars for the view and the facilities. The pool area is also very impressive. There is also a lagoon which backs into the hotel area. That is beautiful as well.

Stayed here for two nights as part of a Gate 1 tour. Pool area is nice and it has a great view. This property is rated as a 5 star. It is definitely NOT a 5 star by Western standards. November is the start of their winter season. So the air conditioning is turned off and the rooms were very warm, even with the windows opened. The rooms are very noisy and with the tour our rooms were facing the road and the front entrance of the hotel. So you can hear people talking and cars arriving. My pillow was stained. The rooms they give the guests traveling with the tour companies are probably not the best ones. On the plus side, the dinner and breakfast buffet were very good with lots of choices. Our waiter, Harlan, was very entertaining and gave us great service.

We had a amazing time at the Korumer in August, amazing hotel..amazing food best dinners ever!! Chinese most night and lovely and fresh. If you eat early you do have to queue abit to get the hot food selection but wasn't too bad calmed down pretty quickly, some nights had trouble getting a table for 6 of us that's why we went early. Breakfast could do with a few more chefs to do eggs selection separately queue was always for omelettes but had to join if u wanted fried eggs !! Still a great selection of fruit breads n cereals but no sausages or bacon but that's Turkey for you!! More selection of juices needed may I add!! Only orange or water and for a 5 star hotel bit disappointing as 4 star hotels have this on offer
you just expect abit more on
offer when u are staying 5 star!! Lunch was lovely at the snack bar lots of choice does get busy tho need more tables but found the service fine.
This hotel has amazing views best ever seen!! Just want to say we had a lovely time would defo go back people were friendly to my kids as this is stated as more for adults the kids loved it had most of the pool to themselves in the morning and it was peak summer!! We had mountain view and after reading all the reviews about sea view rooms I'm actually glad we didn't not because we didn't want the views it's because the suns on your room in the morning but cooler in the afternoon so perfect for the kids not too hot!! Temperatures reached 40c most days but my kids were fine it wasn't at all bad due to the sea breeze that comes in it was bearable. Kids entertainment and adults was ok just no bar right next to stage so had to keep walking back to snack bar had to take in turns to watch the kids as right next to pool!! See u again Korumer!!
