Lovely hotel room. Good facilities. Clean. Great food five star. Entertainment around the pool and every night. A lot of great fun. The team could not do enough for us to make us happy in or holiday here. Carrying or cases, calling taxi's, filing water at the table. The fellas around the pool had us laughing all day long. Lots of good information too. Would definitely visit here again. Great air conditioning which was a must.

I have just got home from a wonderful week long holiday and this hotel and my expectations have been well and truly exceeded. The hotel is wonderfully presented and clean. Our room didn't have the best view, though that didn't matter because the actual room itself was very comfy and clean. The food is very good, especially the man outside cooking fresh food all day, and making wonderful omelettes and pancakes at breakfast. The pool area is relaxing and easy to enjoy, the music played around the pool create a fun atmosphere and is very enjoy able. The highlight of my trip has got to be the animation team, Max and Alpo especially, who do a very good job of helping you feel welcome and involved and treat you like their friend. Best holiday in a long time and I would 100% recommend!

Just returned from 2 weeks at The Panorama Hill. Had a wonderful holiday much better than we were expecting after reading some of the reviews. We had a lovely room overlooking the pool and harbour. It was immaculately clean with towels changes daily. The staff were very friendly and helpful if we had any problems. Beds were hard but we were provided with mattress toppers when requested. Food was plentiful but a bit repetitive. We would definitely return again.

Room Tip: You definately need to request a room with a sea view.

On arrival after midnight we were allocated rooms 512 & 515. Both rooms had an overwhelming stench of sewers so we opened the window and door onto the balcony to let some fresh air in. The smells were magnified in the bathrooms – there are open drains in the rooms next to the toilets and we poured bottles of water down the drains to try to flush away the smell but nothing worked.
We had to leave the balcony doors open day & night as the smell was so bad, therefore the air conditioning couldn’t be used which left the rooms constantly hot. The fridge in the room didn’t work and it smelt like something had died in it!! As both rooms are at the front of the hotel, they face directly onto a busy dual carriageway which is busy 24 hours a day, particularly with ambulances & police cars in the early hours!!

The morning after arriving, we went to reception to ask if there were any other rooms available, we were told the hotel was fully booked for the next fortnight and therefore a move was not possible. The level of nonchalance and indifference from the young lady on reception was incredible, bordering on offensive!
Thankfully we had a trip planned to Istanbul a few days after arrival, we spoke with Yusef on reception when we were leaving for the airport, we explained about the dreadful smell and our inability to get any sleep in the rooms as a result of having to leave the balcony doors open. We asked Yusef if he could notify the cleaner that we had purposely left the windows open to minimise the sewerage smell and for her to leave them open while we were in Istanbul, Yusef told us some rooms would become vacant while we were away and he would try to get us moved if possible. Yusef checked us in on arrival and whilst I tend not to name individual staff, he is certainly worthy of a special mention due to his lovely manner and genuine care of guests and willingness to assist which is sadly lacking in any of his colleagues or management team. Other guests also picked up & remarked upon Yusef’s eagerness to provide quality customer service. Unfortunately he is on his own in this regard, the rest of the team appear to wish they were somewhere else! Other members of staff preferred to short circuit the process by befriending guests and offering them free drinks and poolside loungers in exchange for positive Trip Advisor reviews. One of the families who had been asked told us they were going along with the façade whilst there but would review the hotel honestly on their return home. The rooms are quite cramped (although some people with a pool view said their rooms were spacious - we didn't pay for or want a pool room as they tend to be noisier than side rooms) The rooms were very basic, bed(s), counter with mirror (stool is far too low to even see yourself in the mirror when seated), there are no tea / coffee facilities and the air conditioning unit blows cold air into your face as it's on the wall opposite the bed, trained right onto the bed. There is a shelf which holds one suitcase and the wardrobe is too small to hold a second case so we were constantly stepping over a case as the storage was minimal.

The spa is a complete rip off, a 10 min walk down the road brings you to a Haman which offers Turkish baths Absolutely fab) and a massage for less than a quarter of the hotel price. There is also a "gym" which consists of a treadmill, weights-less weights bench and some other prehistoric item which is supposed to resemble a cross trainer. All three items are in a room akin to a broom cupboard :)

When we arrived back from Istanbul toward the end of the first week, we were offered other rooms at the side of the hotel which we were delighted with for two reasons – no stench and much reduced traffic noise. These rooms, 321 & 322 had three single beds in each but peace and clean air were much more important factors than the sleeping arrangements!! The “new” rooms overlooked waste ground instead of the road. The beds could be made from cement; they are impossibly hard and most uncomfortable. The glass shelf in the bathroom has been broken off, the shower was filthy with mould, there was no stopper in the sink, the shower head holder was hanging out of the wall, it couldn’t be re-positioned, not ideal for kids, the fridge reeked and was filthy, the balcony was filthy, old chewing gum on the floor from previous guests left there, the chairs were falling apart and the plastic table was much lower than the chairs. Everything about the hotel is just cheap, tacky and dirty! A lot of water leaked from under the shower but the fall of the bathroom floor meant it went straight into the drain at the side of the toilet so no big deal. The cleaner threw some buckets of water on the balcony to dampen down the dust… it took three days for it to dry out as the floor is uneven and didn’t drain properly. The clothes rail in the wardrobe had rust flaking off onto clothes and for a room with three beds, there were TWO hangers!! The wardrobe also contained two filthy woollen blankets which we thankfully didn’t need to use. The bed linen was changed every other day, however, throws and pillow shams smelt very stale. We took them off and left them with the dirty blankets in the wardrobe for the duration of our stay. The cleaner didn’t take them away for laundering even though she was aware of why they were taken off the beds. The safe is in the bottom of the wardrobe, old fashioned key operated variety which is charged by the day. We locked our valuables and passports in one of our cases so didn’t need it.
We were on an all-inclusive package which, with hindsight was a dreadful mistake as the food on offer was shockingly bad. At breakfast on our first morning we were horrified to see all offerings on display covered with flies. There were sliced meats on display which flies had laid eggs on. When this was pointed out to the “manager”, he removed the plate only to return it seconds later with some slices removed. The cereals on offer were extremely poor quality and obviously the cheapest available, the milk was powdered mixed with water variety and the tea came from an urn, coffee from a machine that was more time inoperable than working. Fruit was invariably bruised / rotting and bread was pre-sliced so hard as a rock. There was a pancake and omelette station outside near the bar which was very popular. The pancakes were quite tasty but the omelettes were hit and miss due to the cooking time which was entirely dependent on the queue!! We bought some bowls, cutlery, branded cereals and milk in the local supermarket for breakfast. For lunch and dinner we ate out every day which added a lot of expense to the holiday that wasn’t budgeted for but it was a choice of eat out or starve! The hotel is not all inclusive in real terms, compared with a Thomson or Thomas Cook all inclusive hotel, it would struggle to reach full board status.
The management allowed guys into the hotel dining room at breakfast time to target newly arrived guests touting for business for their pubs, restaurants and beach sun beds. If they didn’t manage to convince you during breakfast, they would arrive back later and harass you at the pool. The “resort rep” (his allocated title, not mine) called Alex also tried his best to sell the “partner site” restaurants stating that meals were not mandatory that free bus rides were available to and from the venues once drinks were purchased at the “partner sites”. We had a look at the establishments while down the town – so glad we didn’t buy into the whole scam! At the welcome meeting he held, he also tried his best to flog trips to new arrivals, the price list is printed in GB£ and the prices are easily double the cost of other reputable tour operators in Kusadasi. He also quoted us GB£ 60 per day for car hire (Fiat Punto or similar) with limited mileage – we hired one downtown for Eur 22 per day with unlimited mileage and comprehensive insurance from a global car hire company. Alex / Regal Tours do nothing to improve The Panorama Hill, they actually feed into the apathetic, soulless shambles that it is.

Lunch turned out to be breakfast leftovers covered in various sauces with some more recently boiled rice and chicken wings and some squares of indescribable meat substances. Dinner turned out to be these leftovers re-invented with some new (tinned) and heavily pickled veg additions. The most worrying factor was the constant issue of cold foods being warm and foods which should be hot being brought out luke warm at best. It was at the end of our first week there when the food came out onto display covered in cling film. We didn’t set foot inside the dining room in the second week as there was no improvement in the fare and the flies were still swarming all over. We’ve been on many all-inclusive holidays and don’t expect Michelin Star quality food or five star facilities but we have never witnessed anything on this level before, the catering and lack of basic food hygiene was just appalling. We love to try new foods but our stomachs churned how the food was laid out, left open to contamination and not properly chilled / heated, we are not fussy eaters but draw the line at fly larvae on food as seasoning!!

Health & Safety is non-existent in Panorama Hill, it does not have a fire escape plan displayed and there is no emergency lighting anywhere visible in the hotel corridors. Given the fact that smoking is permitted in rooms, I would have expected at the very least, there would have been an escape map on the rear of the door – nothing! No emergency lighting in the corridors (there were frequent power cuts during the second week, the entire place was in darkness) There were no emergency exit signs over what appeared to be escape routes at the ends of the corridors and the doors were cheap chipboard timber, not proper fire containment safety doors.
There were two falls on marble floors while we were there, in both cases, staff who were present offered no assistance, other guests went to the aid of the people who had fallen. In one case, when a staff member was challenged by a guest to get help for the guest who had fallen and quite clearly hurt herself, the staff member claimed the if the lady had been more careful she wouldn’t have fallen.
There are two very small, very temperamental lifts in the hotel (Max 4 people or 2 people with 2 suitcases), the old fashioned type with interior folding metal doors. The other alternative is a dangerous spiral marble stairs which was generally soaking from the pool at the restaurant level. This was a health hazard to everyone yet no sign of any staff addressing the constant issue.
We only used the pool for the first two days at the hotel so are not really best placed to comment on day time entertainment. Mo from the animation team is a really nice guy, he tries very, very hard with very limited but he still made such an effort. Cici his sidekick, on the other hand is quite pushy, trying to sell trips etc. She only spoke to ask if we wanted to go on certain trips whereas Mo just loved to chat about anything. The only bar in the hotel was poolside, it was about as interesting as watching multiple coats of paint dry, there was simply no atmosphere and the staff don’t appear to have the personality or interest to make it work. There was no TV, you would think that given the Wold Cup was on, they would have capitalised on the event and created a bit of an atmosphere around the hotel. Instead, there was bingo in what felt like a hundred different languages and balloon bursting games poolside in the evenings. The lobby area is quite small, no bar, nothing to offer a change of scenery so if you didn’t fancy the poolside entertainment your options were to go to bed and listen to the conversations & rows in adjacent rooms (walls are paper thin, corridor traffic or go out til very late. Given the fact we realised early on in our stay that the hotel had little to offer, we hired a car to get away from it, therefore we merely used it to sleep & wash in.

Turkey is a fabulous country, lots to see and do, the beaches at nearby Dilek National Park are stunning. Some beautiful quaint little villages on the outskirts of Kusadasi with wonderful local produce to sample and enjoy. The Panorama Hill has some lovely views down over the town and marina, the Dolmus bus stops right outside the door and although we never used it, other guest said it was a very cheap way of getting downtown as it was quite a walk.

The management team of the Panorama Hill couldn’t care less about customer satisfaction and customer service is not something they indulge in. There were a wide range of nationalities staying while we were there, our corridor was mainly made up of people from Turkey & Azerbaijan who tend to sleep into the afternoon and let their kids run riot all night long, not forgetting the young lady from the UK who must be the world’s biggest S Club 7 fan!! We gave the manger the feedback form from our room during our stay (we had some extremely unruly neighbours on our corridor) nothing was done and there was no acknowledgement by the management team which speaks volumes. However, the real issue in this hotel is health and safety, steps need to be taken to ensure guest & staff safety before there is a serious incident. The single best thing about the Panorama Hill was handing the key back, it was a relief to leave, we were happy to be going home. It could be great with some expenditure and a change of owner / management, but this review is based on our stay. If you have booked already, go with low expectations, you may be pleasantly surprised but if you are thinking of booking, consider other options first.

Our family is at the end of our summer vacation here and we can say this vacation was one of the greatest. We are for the first time in Turkey and The Panorama hill hotel especially. Our room was large, clean and with air con. We didn' t have sea view but that doesn' t really matter. Most of the time we spend around the pool or on walkings. The food was good. The pool was large and clean and there were a lot of sun beds and parasols. The entertainment team - Alpy, Seco and Sisi are very polite, funny and communicative. They organized different games every day and we were not bored. There was and a fire show that was great - it must be seen. A big thanks to all of them. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. We didn't have any problems during our vacation.
