“GREAT HOTEL CLEAN FRIENDLY PEACEFUL”
Reviewed 28 May 2010

Great hotel for friendliness, cleanliness and peace. The rep Rebecka was wonderful and really got to know everyone. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The Turkish Baths are fantastic but be prepared to made to wait if Turkish people book they get first preference and you are offered another time slot but believe me its worth the wait, full massage, facial pack and Turkish bath cost £13 english pound. Food was ok plenty of variety the only downside was its not as hot as were used to. Rooms were cleaned every day, also fresh towels everyday also. Towels are provided for the beach so you dont need to pack towels. Hairdryer in bathroom also. The shows put on by the animation team were very good and very proffesional. Loads of sunbeds so no problem getting one. Cushions on all beds so very comfy. Dotted around are hammocks from the trees with large soft cushions its fab. Towards the beach part are swinging sofas, it was total comfort. There are very large square cushions dotted about also so u can just sit in comfort wherever u choose to sit. Plenty of activities in the day, French bowls, darts, volleyball, pool games which were great. Childrens corner and 3 large water slides. Kids pool for the little ones. I went with my daughter who is 31 she booked it for my birthday present, I think she went back in her second childhood she loved it. Overall its a fantastic hotel with everything for a great relaxing holiday with plenty to do if you wanted. If you want a rowdy nightlife this is not for you, if you want a good holiday its brill, i would strongly reccommend this hotel.

leaving izmir airport you discover what a devoloping country turkey still is. i found it very nice in some parts but extremily dirty in others, on arrival at the hotel i was happy to see a nice clean looking reception with porters more than willing to help. checked in and to my dissapointment was told the two rooms i had booked would not be next to one another as requested. so intantly was a bit cheesed off !! then requested is there any where my family and myself could eat to be told dinner was served at 7.30pm which at this time was 6pm local time and we had been travilling for 9hrs. again even more cheesed off. to find out the next day there was a snack bar by the pool!!!
went to our rooms which to be fair where spotless, nice balconey over looking the pool. air conditioned with fridge and tv ( all turkish)
all we ate athe the hotel was nice food, the only bad point is if you have children the normal run of the mill kids food was some what limited.
the hotel you discover has a lovley swimming pool with 2 smaller childrens pools, lovley kept gardens with plenty of loungers and shade if needed, as well as the pool the have 3 water slides but for some unknown reason where only on 3 times a day for half an hour much to my childrens dissapointment.
as for the beach well as it is supposed to be a beach resort i thought it was extremily dirty and we did not use it at all.
the entertainment was not great. the staff where freindly enough but simply not enough of it. there really was nothing that i discoverd set up for children apart from half an hour of the night entertainment which starts at 9.30.??? i looked at the whole entertainment for one evening in total it lasted 1.45mins starting at 9.30 . just not enough and starting to late.
generally the staff where very helpful apart from one misery working on the inside bar, she had a face like a slapped a## all week, to start thought she was having a bad day but no, just a misery which wound my wife up good a proper when she could not even be bothered to put ice in my childrens drinks.
we travelled in to the local town which was an experience that i did not enjoy, my family contists of myself my wife and 3 daughters ages 18 to 9 and the turkish men seemed to take way to much intrest in them for my liking. we got out of the taxi abd they where like bees around honey within 10 meters of the taxi i had one man grab my wifes arm trying to pull her into a shop which he soon got told to go away, then as we walked into the market place this just intensified......got out of there asap . found the water front where my middle daughter was looking through a telescope my wife and other two daughters walked on i just stood back to see 3 young men hang around my middle daughter and it felt as my wife an other 2 daughters where watched and a coup[le of men slowing down as they got near them all this while you got some a## hole trying to sell you fake purfum. well rounded them all up into a taxi and was back in the hotel in 45mins. very dissapointing.
went on a couple of trips one was a boat trip around the coast which was great, all food laid on and as much beer as you could drink and i would recommened adaland waterpark, not the best one i have ever been to but still wortha look.

to sum up, would i go back to this hotel. no i dont think i would with my family simlply because there was not enough on for them, would i go back with my wife,no i would not. i can think of many other places in europe at the same cost where you gat the same great weather but less hassle and cleaner beaches.

o one other thing 2 dogs out side in kennals barking all bloody day and night

We visited the Batihan hotel on the 8th may 2010 for 2weeks all inclusive expecting it to be a great place to have a first holiday together...
Well...
We arrived at Batihan hotel at around tea time and were quite Hungary after a long flight and journey to the hotel (1 1/2 hours from Izmir airport) so we went to check out the buffet...

If you love bread and dry salad you would be in heaven. There was not a variety of food at all; it was all soaked in olive oil and even the cake was soaked in oil.
We are not fussy eaters but this was so bad...

Only thing that was half decent was the omelette and pancakes on a morning

They did not cater for English, it was all for Germans...never the less which we kept trying the food....
On one occasion we were sat with a Scottish couple who were eating the same as us only to find a piece of meat had a bullet inside...luckily he bit on the bullet before he swallowed it and also was very lucky that a child did not get that piece and choke on it!!
They went to see the hotel manager and handed over the bullet, informed the rep and then the hotel denied it!! what a pack of compulsive liars!!!
SO to cut a long story short we were then totally put off eating in the hotel... we eat out every day and spent and extra £500 on food. (Mares is a good restaurant over the road)
It Gets Worse...
Our relaxing holiday then turned into a children’s day camp... We had about 100 Turkish Kids turn up. Took over the swimming pool/ slides/ sun loungers. They were very noisey, running about at 2am screaming, laughing, shouting etc... like wild animals...

Holiday rep kept telling us '' Everything Will Be Okay''' ''it will get better'''
Neither of these statements came true as another bus load turned up 4 days later for the ''boys annual holiday''...

There was not a wide variety of drinks and you had to pay extra for anything half decent. Prices for these were extortionate!! Around £7 for archers and thats without the lemonade ...

Also the animation team were absolutely shocking!!! All they did is slate the English!!!

After all the shenanigans I have been totally put off Turkey, this was my first visit and surely my last.

The hotel and staff had no time for the english, the animation team even stood in front of us and slated the english. The food was ridiculous, selection or variety did not exist in this hotel. The bar staff were constantly trying to charge us for drinks telling us that they were not in the all inclusive when they had a list in front of them with the short list of drinks that were available. If the English wanted any english food or some thing over than salad and bread we had to pay for it. We ate out on at least 6 occasions, we went all inclusive so that we did not have to do this. The bar staff were rude and did not want to serve the english they focused on the French German and the Dutch guests. During the evening entertainment the English were excluded, on one occasion it was Miss Batihan the girls included were one french lady, one Dutch lady and two English ladies the animation team introduce the French lady by saying "we now go to France" also with the Dutch lady he said "we now go to Holland" and then it came to the two English girls he said " and now these two" This is disgraceful! Also the elevator doors closed on 3 of our party leaving bruises! Thought the cleaners did a brilliant job they also made our rooms look nice. That is the only good comment i have to say about this hotel. Our party of 12 are gutted about this holiday. This has put us off of traveling to Turkey again.

when we first arrived we were told it would only take about 40mins to get to the hotel.it actually took just over 2hrs. we arrived feeling very peckish and i went to look for something to eat, the snack bar was near to closing and i askd for a hamburger if you could call it that, throwen in a bun with a bit of lettuce and a few lukewarm chips on the side of a small plate, the chef seemed to not want to understand what i was asking for.
we went to checkout the Gym, forget it unless you want to end up in hospital, all the equitment was broke, rusty or tied up with rope.We feel for the price we paid for All inclusive it did ot meet our expectations, if you want a Al a carte you have to pay separate for it,We are not fussy people, but the first nights meal was awful they did not cater for english, we adapted and ate what we could.
we went to see the rep, as well as other holiday makers and after speaking to her they started to put a litle bit more better food on.there was no in between snacks you had to pay if you wanted ice cream at the pool bar, the staff where all charging different prices. The room was very clean and air con brill.the location was bad we like doing a lot of walking but there was no where to walk. there was two shops.the weather was the best thing, the least thing we like was the area has nothing of interest there, if you got the bus into Kusadasi you were bothered a lot by the town people, we did not go but this was remarks from other peope.sorry to sound so negative but to us we payed for 4T but we have ad better hols else where. good bye turkey this has put us off for good.

Had the best time! so much fun! The entertainment was fun, could get annoying at times when they tried to get you up playing volleyball and you just want to sunbath but overall it was very good. The breakfast could have been better! It was different, plenty of a selection. We got a huge room, absolutely spotless! Ask for a sea view if you book this hotel, you'll be kicking yourself if you don't! it has the most amazing view! We got photo's taken by these professional photographers that work for the hotel. amazing, absolutely brilliant. Make sure you take a turkish bath. It's a nice way to start of the holiday, preparing the skin before your tan! Food in the restaurant was delicious! It was my first holiday with my boyfriend and i will always remember it. Very romantic!
