We had a great trip here at the start of October. Hotel was very clean, in a great location - views were lovely, small beach down a steep path, or a quick ride on the dolmus bus to Ladies Beach. BBQ night was great and the omlettes were good for breakfast. Beds were very hard though, but that was the only complaint.

Room Tip: Choose a Pool View

At this hotel at the moment, it's a two star or very tired three star at the most ..
Jaded reception area with orange faded plastic settees, note there are no pics of it, most of the many light bulbs are broken and haven't been replaced here. All evening entertainment is on in reception, it is such BAD entertainment everyone is pissing themselves laughing ! The kids activity area is four plastic baby slides.
The breakfast is a Disgrace, the only hot food is boiled eggs, scrambled eggs and Turkish sausage, slice ur own bread an toast it on the oldest toaster in Turkey, four plates of cheese, coco pops, cornflakes and Turkish yoghurt. The young boys who work here are generally in their own clothes and handle the food without gloves. Dirty slop buckets placed next to tables where you eat.The ground around the hotel and the paths to ur rooms are broken and uneven in a LOT of places, walkway to the disgustingly filthy beach is dangerous and very hard to travel unless ur very fit.
The pool is nice but we only saw it getting cleaned one morning.
The restaurant is an old shack where ur charged for every possible thing they can pile onto the bill (22.50 lira for 3yr olds pasta)
The shop on site has no stock, no toothbrushes no crisps nothing but bare shelves.
The only redeeming quality is the outside plaza an pool area, which they feature in all pics.
Rooms are cheaply furnished
Don't be fooled by the pictures!!!!

Really enjoyed our week in the Palmin Sunset Plaza. Thanks to the Sunway Representative, reception and the bell boys, arrival and departure at the hotel was very organised and fast. The hotel is situated on an elevated site overlooking the sea, it is built in small seperate blocks around the pool. The rooms are very spacious, bathroom has shower in half bath, rooms are cleaned daily with regular changes of towels and linen, the staff were very pleasent. It is essential to book a pool view at time of booking. There are no lifts in the hotel. The pool area has one row of beds which is lovely and the pool is beautiful. The manager was very helpful and there was a relaxed atmosphere there. We enjoyed dining in the restaurants at Ladies Beach and in Kusadasi. The Dolmus service is very frequent and stops just outside the hotel, usually every 5 - 10 minutes.I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Book a pool view room, Block D balcony dosn't get the sun while Block H gets the sun, both are g...

We are just home having spent two weeks in the Palmin Sunset Plaza (6-20 Oct 2012). The holiday rep while en route to the hotel gives you a card which contains details of the room that has been allocated to you. So on arrival, at the hotel you inform the bell boys of your room number, which they duly mark on your suitcase. Staff are waiting to greet you. You check in with reception (very quick service) where you are handed your room key and then there is a fruit cocktail reception for you. In the meantime while you are enjoying your cocktail the bell boys are busy delivering your bags to your room.

There are 12 apartments in each block. Some blocks only have 3 apartments. The rooms are very spacious and all rooms have a balcony. There is a complimentary bottle of water for you in the fridge. There is a kettle in the room to allow you make tea/coffee. The rooms are cleaned every day and fresh bed linen and towels. There is also a safe deposit box. Keys can be obtained from reception at a charge of €10 per week.

The pool and bar area are clean and tidy and there were plenty of sun loungers to cater for everyone. (However having said that, this time of the year the hotel would be quieter in general). There is also a children’s pool. The water in the pool is salt water and while it initially is extremely cold to get into, once you’re in, the water is lovely and refreshing.

The restaurant has a great selection of food to choice from, however, dining there is a little more expensive than dining in town. All imported drinks i.e. Budweiser, Miller, Smirnoff Vodka, Tia Maria are more expensive than at home. Their local beer Efes it ok. They also have an Efes light. For smokers, the only cigs available apart from local brands was Marlboro.

The nightly entertainment is very good, something different every night. During the day there was darts, water polo, bowls and aqua aerobics in and around the pool area. Fifi and Soli, the two people in charge of entertainment make it their business to get to know their guests and remember their names. They have a way about them (without being intrusive) of getting everyone involved with whatever activity is taking place. I have to say they are excellent at their job. They are also great craic.

The hotel is very clean and tidy and it looks the same in reality as it does in the brochure.

There is access outside the hotel down to Paradise Beach, a private beach shared with the Sealight Hotel, hotel adjacent to the Sunset Plaza.

If you sit around the pool bar in the evenings you can watch the beautiful sunsets go down on the Aegean Sea and watch the cruise liners sail into the night.

There is an onsite shop (water, cigs, chocs, ice cream etc), hairdresser and beautician. They offer all sorts of massages, Turkish baths, hair cutting, styling, colouring, manicure, pedicure etc. I had a pedicure costing €16, which is extremely good value and I must admit it was the best I’ve had in a long time.

The small drawbacks were; the shower is part of the bath and it is quite a high step to get into the bath, so care is needed and it may not suit elderly or infirm people. The other, is the fact, that the hotel is a fair bit out from Kusadasi town centre. You are dependent on the Dolmus to bring you there. Having said that the dolmus is an excellent service and for 2.25 Turkish lira each way, one can’t complain but sometimes it is just nice to be able to walk out of your hotel to the nearest bar or restaurant. Ladies Beach is a 12-15 min walk away, downhill but unless your fairy agile or a good walker, it’s a fair uphill walk back to the hotel. Oh and the beds are quite hard to sleep on.

The staff are very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay at the Plaza.

Would I recommend the Sunset Plaza, (of the three Palmin hotels; Palmin All Inclusive, Sea Pearl and Sunset Plaza) yes I most definitely would.

I am literaly just home from a week stayn at the Palmin Sunset Plaza and all I can say is fantastic, all aspects of this hotel.I have never been to a place that has satisfied my holiday needs in so many ways.
When we arrived bell boys to deliever our bags to our rooms, fruit cocktails at front door.Staff very friendly and informativ in terms of deposit boxes etc.The rooms were sparkling clean with complimentary bottle of water (nice touch) ..The grounds around pool and bar were so clean and tidy with practically every sun chair parallel to each other.Over the week we ate alot in the restaurant at the hotel which was lovely a lil pricy buit the service and food u couldnt expect it to be any cheaper the waiting staff were so friendly and polite and catered to ur every need..The entertainment was second to none every night there was something different on and daily there was water polo darts etc...Wednesday night we attended the barbeque with a huge display of food, greatly presented and tasted good..The two people in charge of the entertainment were great. They got to know everybody and got people involved which was great.Ne body who dnt enjoy themselves it was there own fault. The rooms were cleaned every morning and the cleaninig staff were very friendly despite the little language they had..I would recommend this hotel to anybody couple and familys and just looking for a holiday to kick back as we got more than what we had hoped for it.It was such an enjoyable week I was sad to be comming home..Well done to all at the hotel..I will definetly be bak next year...

I cannot say enough about the staff here, fantastic, helpfull, friendly......
The entertainment team under the leadership of the fantastic FiFi is second to none.
I have never come across such brilliant hosts in all our travels. Hard working and inovative. Fabulous nights. I lack the words to describe how great these guys are.
First hotel that lived up to the brochure. Spotless clean and lives up to its name with sunsets to die for. Relaxing, A tase of heaven.
Cant wait to return again
