We bought the package very last minute and had a slight concern over the hotel but but it dissipated quickly. We've been to Turkey a few times before and found the Sunset Plaza pleasantly lives up to its 4* rating. The room was big with air con, a safe and a cool box. It was cleaned every day with clean towels with our only criticism being that the shower area could do with a little TLC. We were facing the adjoining hotel but found it quiet and as the sun never really hit it during the day it was comfortable considering the temperature outside. The breakfast was spot on, cheeses, tomatoes, cucumber, melon, olives, eggs etc. Some people seem to prefer a full Irish and if that's you well they have them at the bar, but personally the Turkish brekkie worked for us. The pool area is spacious and with the buildings only three floors high the entire outside was really open and airy. You'll find there's no need to rush to claim a sun bed in the morning as, if all the beds are occupied the hotel guys just bring out more. There's also a hairdresser and wellness centre with an hamam although its sensible to shop on the strip for a better dealThe entertainment crew is fronted by Fifi and shes got activities lined up from 10am till late and unlike some hotels there's no push and grab to do stuff, she just keeps it relaxed and fun. The food at the bar is pretty basic but does the job and in the evening when the restaurant begins the menu is reasonable with the food good too.
The hotel is about 10/15 minute walk from Ladies Beach and if you're a lazy git there's a Dolmus service just down the road. There's also a lovely small beach down a steep hill which is accessible from the hotel.
All in all we enjoyed our stay in the Sunset Plaza and for the value, the Kusadasi sunset and the hotel itself we'd stay there again anytime.
