Ideal place to stay in Kusadasi. Excellent location, neat clean rooms. Wonderful hospitality and a delicious breakfast. We stayed 2 nights and i would definately recommend this place.

We stayed at Ilayda Hotel in Kusadasi for 3 nights. This hotel is located right in the center of the city along the shore of Aegean. We had room #406 with an incredible ocean view of sunrise and sunset. Room was very clean and had 2 single beds with reasonable space. Bathroom was good and towels were clean and fresh. The signal of free wifi was reliable in the room. Hotel staffs were helpful and friendly.

Breakfast is on the top terrace with at least 180o view of coastline and city; it is just simply magnificent! The down side is it opens quite late; the tour usually starts earlier so we skipped 2 breakfasts. The hotel has a nice restaurant on the main floor with some seats outside on the patio facing the ocean. It is only a shot walking distance to the town center, where there are more choices of food to choose as well as other stores to fulfill your wish.

It is a good value of hotel, highly recommended.

Like so many other hotels in Turkey, the rooms are quite small, but in this case, really quite exquisitely designed. What fascinated us about all this facilities was the emphasis on not wasting electricity.

The room key activates all power in the suite including air conditioning. In the halls every light switch is motion activated.

The location of this hotel is wonderful, right across the street from the bay. Cleanliness was excellent too. Our only complaint would be about the staff who seemed to act like they were above helping the guests. We didn't even have an offer to take us to our room when we checked in.

And to top it off, there was a large pot labeled "TIP JAR" right at the end of the front desk. What a joke that was. Just wish I'd taken a photo of it.

Room Tip: Ask for an ocean facing room.

We thought the hotel was nice when we arrived (in a group of 4 with 2 rooms booked) - our room had an ocean view (our friends' on the parking-lot side). At night we went to bed around 10 and there was some noise from the street below, but we didn't realize that it would continue ALL night. After passing out from exhaustion, we were able to sleep for about 2 hours, and then were unable to sleep for the remainder of the night. Rather than get dressed and pack all of our bags and deal with moving rooms in the middle of the night, we just tried to endure it as best we could.

The next day we asked about moving rooms and a discount or something along the lines for the previous sleepless night and the staff (Ali and Orhan) were beyond rude. They said, "Yes, that side is noisy" - admitting that this is a known fact that they declined to mention to us in advance. They did not apologize once and yelled (yes, YELLED, not an exaggeration) at us, saying that it was our fault because we didn't pack our bags and move at 4AM the previous night. I asked if they were satisfied knowing that they had unhappy guests and they replied "Yes" and then invited us to stay elsewhere.

How disappointing, we will not be staying here again and urge you to avoid the hassle as well.

We stayed at the Ilayda for 2 nights while on a 10-day land tour of Western Turkey. First off, the hotel has a most excellent location, right in the heart of the city, right on the shores of the Aegean! Amazing view of the western skies/sunsets.

The rooms are small but very cozy/comfortable and the main floor restaurant has most excellent Italian cuisine, with a raised streetside seating area, allowing patrons to watch the activities and peoples in the core (which is very active and vibrant).

Really enjoyed our time there. Only downside for us was that our mornings started very early and we didn't get to partake breakfast on the terracetop! Would definitely book into the Ilayda again when back in Kusadasi (which is an awesome coastal town!).
