“friendly but borderline intrusive!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 February 2011

on arrival you a greated by a team of staff to take your bags offer you refreshments and get you checked in, your bags are taken from you and brought to your room for you, this is nice that you dont have this hassle but also means you have to wait which was a good hour before they got to us and in swealtering heat you just want to get into the pool, everywhere you go there is staff willing to help or assist in anyway for me i love being left alone and the staff can get a bit annoying if your just looking for a bit of peace, when we ate in the resturant the waiter pored my drink and i had a chicken stir fry the waiter thought to be helpful he would pick all the chicken from the serving plate and place it on mine he was only short of spoon feeding me!
a small fridge is in the room but they have a strict policy of no outside goods brought in, even water! bring a beach bag to hold anything you buy, we bought 2 bottles of beer and they were in a plastic bag these were taken off us and only returned when we were leaving!
hotel is lovely spotless clean ideal for a family but if you want a quiet break you wont get it here!

I was very wary after reading the reviews, but was pleasantly surprised , the room was clean staff were friendly, it is not a plush hotel but adequate.
Go when its in season though we were there in October and the weather was hot but pool was Freezing. not the hotels fault.

We stayed in the Palmin hotel for the week and to say the least was very cautious on arrival after reading the reviews on this, however to a nice suprise the hotel was lovely, the room was cleaned each day, towels were changed at request and water was in the fridge free of charge the first night. You can choose to eat inside or outside, and they have a buffet (all you can eat at €13), the drinks especially the imported drinks were a tad expensive. They had entertainment each night and played soccer matches/films in the TV room. We were last minute booking and had a room at the end so if we were booking again would probably opt for the pool view for scenery.

It rained while we were here so it put a bit of a damper on the week, but it didn't stop us from availing of the different excursions they had on offer. Ephesus was amazing and definately worth seeing, however if you go on the full day trip you get brought to a jewellery store (which isn't on the brochure) and the diving was brilliant. Unfortunately we went to the waterpark on one of the rain days, and we were not aware that the water park actually closes on rain days and they do not offer refunds which I felt was poor behaviour of management and one of the biggest let downs of the trip.

The markets are somewhat nerve racking, as the Turkish "DO" badger the people especially if you look anyway different and they try all different tricks to engage in contact, shaking hands, calling names, shouting prices, even Howia bud. Everything is fake and copies of abercrombie, superdry, prada, hilfigher, pandora etc so be warned not to pay too much. The dolmus was a great service and they would arrive at the hotel practically every 5 mins for 2TL each.

The places we went to eat in town were Golden boys, Planet Yukka and Saray each equally as good as the other and the service was excellent. These offer pick up and drop off services also which is very handy when you are unsure of where to go your first day as they bring you directly to the place free of charge!!

I can only sum up the whole area and the street vendors as terrible,a true nightmare, where as a tourist you are in a lions den where all shops and sellers try to extract as much lira as they can and when they cant ,you are called names, manhandled and insulted.no comfort in walking down any street where the locals pretend they have irish wife, partner in the hope to fool you into opening you wallet..if you believe them,we must be living in little turkey here in ireland..hotel staff are friend ,hotel is fine,a little overprice for drinks but just set in the middle of a highrise dirty hell which is best described as bein like a warzone..not any one family that we met wil be goin back..kusadasi best missed and after a trip to bodrom you would see why,a different class of place, people and holiday maker..sorry kusadasi, but worst place ive bein.

Just returned from a lovely week in Kusadasi - staying at the Palmin. Was a bit apprehensive after reading all the reviews, but was pleasantly surprised. Had a spacious double room on the 1st. Floor, which was very convenient. Lovely balcony overlooking the pool area that never got the sun. The room and hotel in general was spotless. The Spa is well worth a visit but expect to pay Dublin prices. The bedroom was fine but about 2 star standard at home. The beds are very low and the matress about 3 inches in dept. - not very comfortable. The staff were extremely freindly and very helpful. The prices is the bar are more than double what you pay in the Centre, which is a pity, as it deters patrons from staying around in the evening.
We ate out most nights and Planet Yucca is simply the best. The staff are excellent and will provide a taxi back to your hotel.
Loved the shopping and if you are looking for a good Jeweller try Chris at OPAL.
The weather was super and we had a lovely week. As we were beside Ladies Beach we spent quite a while there. Rosys bar and restaurant at Ladies Beach seems to be the nicest.
This is our second year to visit Kusadasi at this time of the year and we really had a lovely time.

I have to say that this was a lovely hotel.
There were mixed reviews on here before i went, but i can only agree with the good ones.
The rooms were clean and were cleaned every day. We had a pool view and the view was amazing.
The pool is always really clean, and there are waiters to bring you drinks or icecream etc while you sunbathe.
At night time they put covers on the seats and tablesby the pool which make them really dressed up and really nice for dinner.
they also have loads of night time entertainments
I saw on some reviews that they said that some of the staff were too in your face, or trying to make you eat at their restaurant.
I didnt find this at all. Sometimes they might joke around with you but nothing in your face.
Food and drink not that cheap, but not as expensive as ireland.

Even though i loved this hotel, i dont think my mom and dad would like it, as they prefer the more luxurious hotels instead of the package holiday types.
But if you are looking for a package holiday i really would have to recommend this hotel!

Just returned back from a week in the Palmin Hotel. Had read loads of bad reviews on here before we left and had even contacted Sunway to see if we could be moved to another hotel! Thankfully we stuck with the Palmin Hotel. We arrived in the evening time and as soon as we got off the bus our bags we taken and brought straight to our rooms! They also had a lovely drinks reception laid out for the new arrivals. Our room was located on the top floor, it was far to high up for me and my boyfriend so we contacted reception and got moved straight away to the first floor! The poolview was amazing and the hotel room spotless! We spent alot of time round the pool (with no "gangland types" in sight!!!!!!!!!!) the pools HUGE and lovely and warm! The staff keep the area around the pool pristine clean and I dont know what hotel the other reviewers thought they were staying in but the hotel staff were nothing but polite, friendly and helpful and work extremely hard to keep guests happy.... We ate out most nights as we liked to go to Centrium in the evenings for a look around and can recommend Saray as by far the best restaurant that we ate in! I was apprehensive to say the least about staying in this hotel but I loved every minute of it and would like to say a big thank you to all the staff for making our holiday AMAZING! we'll be back next year :)

Oh just 2 things...hotel shop expensive and found it a bit off putting to have Seamus (the owner) sitting by the bar most night drinking as there is no atmosphere as the staff are on edge!
